Women don't bulk easily - myth?!

Incidentally I just got back from the gym in shorts and noticed my knees sticking out weirdly - I'm struggling to get used to the body fat loss leaves behind.
I need to get my head out of my *kitten* too and think about other things!!
I think you need to stop judging yourself so harshly. If you look for flaws, you'll find them. Even if they're only in your own mind.
In another life, I was a competitive figure skater. An athlete whose athletic endeavors ended in others judging me. But in the end, no matter what anyone said about my program, technique, dress, hair, weight, whatever, the harshest judge of all was myself. And until you change that, you'll never be happy with what you see.3 -
Thanks everyone, today is a new and more positive day - I'm going to really try to stick to maintenance and carry on loving lifting5

Yaknow....this is where you work on your confidence
Someone out there thinks you look so good that they can't believe you don't know it ..hence the only possibly explanation is that you're looking for compliments. This is someone who has only seen the pictures you have posted
This is a forum for health, fitness and weight loss. People get more objective responses than the real world where we have to follow social protocols. This is not a place that allows either false modesty or fooling oneself, you only have to read the threads where people ask if they look overweight, the majority of responses are objective and honest
So the take out
"I look bloody good in these photos, good enough to get objective compliments "

Girl you look good! If it were me, I'd maintain and do a fitness activity I enjoy.4

OP, it can be an emotional process, I get you. You're slim, not over-muscled or (no offensive), muscular at all. You basically have a slim/lean base to do whatever you want-maintain, build muscle, focus on a fitness goal you might want to try...I think you need a goal my friend because weight loss is not really a great one anymore.8

OP having read the whole thread I think your issue, as you know, is body acceptance and expectations of "what you should look like". There are lots of people who get to their goal weight and are still deeply unhappy because they expected a "prize" at the end or to look a certain way.
You have to start accepting the way your body looks now and know that a lot of variables determine how we look. Genetics, diet, workouts, age etc etc. It's a hard mind set to adopt especially if you have been unhappy with your body for a long time.
I could focus on my jiggly bits or I could remember all the things my body is capable of. I can lift heavy weights and all the groceries and all the luggage. I can chase my nephew and nieces around for hours. They don't care that I jiggle, just that I play with them some more. My tests from the doctor come back better and better.
For a lot of people the mental part is much harder than the physical. You can get there it just takes time and effort.3 -
You're right, of course, I will have to learn to be patient and kinder to myself. Thank you2
