@trooworld Great list for giving yourself credit. When the scale doesn't move just thinking about those things and writing them down in a journal is a good way to remember all the positive things you are doing for your body. It's so easy to just concentrate on the negative. Woohoo on doing the bike.

@renaegry September's loss wasn't that great compared to August. But a loss is a loss. Still the same program but different results due to life. In September I had minor surgery so no exercise a couple of weeks and period started after 3 months break. That right there shot my weight up 3 lbs in two days but it's slowly coming back down now. The good news is that this way of eating is becoming normal to me and I don't think of it as "having to eat this".

@teresaw1020 In my 100 day book I'm doing right now she says that our daily appts and such must be planned around our exercise time. Not the other way around which is what most of us do. We try and fit it in somehow. So I'm still working on that. I'm trying to find a good time slot that it can just be a habit. Like I get up in the morning and first thing throw a load of laundry in the washer. Go sit outside and read and enjoy myself. Come in and put the laundry in the dryer. That is such a habit I don't even think about it. Now the next step could be go down to the gym and get busy. But I've just eaten breakfast and I have a slew of other excuses to work through. I'm working on it. I have a app where I track what I'm doing throughout the day. So I can see what habits I've already picked up and can see which is the best slot to stick exercise into. Right now I'm doing 15 min walk in the morning while I'm sitting outside. That part is a habit. It's the other stuff I need to figure out WHEN. Yaaay on Beachbody.

@cbabie Fall is wonderful. I'm not a fan of icy cold wet blah either. Carrot and stick. All I'm saying. :) Tilipia is good. Maybe dh was hiding the veggies so you wouldn't cook them. I made a good cabbage casserole last night. Took out a third of it and put it into a small casserole dish without the cabbage for my ds. lol I'm just getting him to eat the green peppers in food. He still wouldn't try the cantaloupe. I said it's sweet. He said sweet to you not me. I think his first taste of a cantaloupe was an unripe one.

@retiredandlovingit I like sweeter drinks too. I'm trying to learn to like fruit/veggie flavored water. If I didn't have to worry about diabetes, I'd just sit around sipping sweet iced tea all day long. Awesome number of steps you put in. My body is good at about 8000. When I consistently hit 10000 my legs ache all day and night. So I kept dropping back the number to see where my sweet spot was. Today was not a move around kind of day for me. Still working on that.

@Trishastime Great job on not stress eating at the office. You'll figure out ways around the chocolate next time.

I was looking at the SHAPE magazine this month and it was talking about beets. It gave 4-5 recipes that use beets. When I think of beets, I think of my mom opening a can of sliced beets and putting them on the table. Yuck. They're so good she would say. See? It's like me and my son with the cantaloupe. lol I learned to eat beets so maybe one day he will learn to eat cantaloupe. There's always hope. I picked out 3 of the recipes to try this month. Beet hummus (I'm a visual person and hummus shouldn't be this color. ) So I'm going to think about it like berry fluff. I like berry fluff. Beet Black Bean Burgers. The color is supposed to help it look like a regular burger. Then a salad with beets, feta, walnuts, spinach. I'm thinking mandarin oranges would be really good in that.

My food was good. Exercise 15 min walk.

Hi all, this isn’t a great post bc I’m kind of discouraged. I just can’t seem to meet my food goals or lose weight. I keep trying to find some positive over the last 6 months, like I check the data, but I just consistently can’t do it. I seem to end up eating largely at maintenance and simply can’t seem to go under for very long. I don’t know what to do. Maybe I should post in the general forum for extra advice or feedback or something. Maybe I should just accept maintenance- I'm 155ish at 5'2". I wanted to get to 135 or 140. But maybe I can't.

There were a few questions- I pretrack sometimes. I eat more in the afternoon, and for the last couple months I have eaten more before bed and sometimes in the middle of the night. This is usually bc I feel like I am starving before I go to bed. Sometimes now I wake up hungry like at 3 or 4 or 5 am. I assume this is because I am eating less calories during the day?

My trainer actually thinks I don’t eat enough for the amount of exercise I do but it doesn’t make sense to me bc if I wasn’t eating enough then I would be in calorie deficit and losing weight. Ergo I can’t be.

Although typically I maintain, this week my weight is up again (157- havent seen that in a long time). I don’t know – stress possibly, been struggling off and on with a lot at work and personally. It’s nothing serious, it will pass, but it’s likely affecting me.

Anyway. Up early today (5am) bc I couldn’t sleep. Up at 5 tomorrow also bc I have to travel for the day.

@theslightedgeforever I’m with you on beets….actually I’m very ambivalent. Never ate them growing up and now I just find them kind of weird. It’s not a like or dislike feeling- it’s more like- huh, so that’s actually edible.

@TrishasTime wouldn’t it be nice if we all didn’t have to work, and we could avoid work stress? I have some lottery tickets I haven’t checked yet!

@Retiredandloving it yeah I like the occasional diet coke but the water drinks are probably better, some of them.

@cbabie good luck finding a good church. I used to find the singing was favourite part. Singing is just really nice to do. I wish I could join a choir somewhere, but a lot of them are serious ie auditions etc.

@TeresaW1020 Beachbody on demand is that on youtube? I think going up on your tippytoes is good replacement. It actually exercises your calves, may even be better than jumping. I think jumping properly so it is with good form that doesn’t hurt is actually really tough. I tried jumping rope at the gym a while ago and man I can only do it for like 30 seconds.

@renaegry blah here too today. Usually November is when the crappy weather hits for real though. I hate when it gets dark early.

@trooworld sounds like a cool place. I’ve never even heard of Georgian food. And so glad the bike is working out!

Hello gals. I slept so horribly last night, I kept getting up over and over, I finally just woke up at 4:43 a.m. for the last time and just got my coffee and came out to the computer. :( It's going to be a lousy day today, I can feel it.

@renaegry icy already? lol That's too bad. I live in a sunny bubble in Southern California lol!

@TeresaW1020 I hope so! :) That's good that there is someone that is modeling modified workouts in the beachbody videos for you. WTG on doing the first one! :D

@cbabie Even though it isn't very cold here, it feels like fall here too. Thanks re: the month!

@RetiredAndLovingIt Wow, those are great step goals and great averages! I also prefer to walk outside. I can't wait until my foot gets better and I can go walking again. :( Thanks, I sure hope so!

@TrishasTime Thanks, I am. I do hope so! Eating lunch in the park sounds lovely, I'm sorry the rest of the day went to #@*&!. I hope today is better for you.

@theslightedgeforever That's a good idea, thanks! I am doing the bike again this morning. I love beets...roasted in a salad with goat cheese and walnuts but feta would be good, too. The canned stuff just doesn't compare. ;)

@its_cleo Have you ever tried taking the trainer's advice and eating more for a couple of weeks to see what happens? I don't know what your solution is, maybe others here can speak up, but I think I would start there if you haven't already. Yes, Georgian (the country, not the state in the U.S.), it was very good! I had it once before recently and liked it. I hope you get your situation figured out, please don't give up, I know you will figure it out. ((( HUGS )))

Morning all, I woke up with my eyes feeling like someone was pulling them out. But after about 4 cups of coffee..starting to feel normal. I am not getting much sleep...GGD is teething 4 at a time..and it's painful to watch. LOL . Then at my age we worry about losing them.. :) . I walked the park again yesterday and even walked up and down my side streets (with baby) . She loves outdoors almost to a point of it being an issue. She cried and cried last night because I said no outside when the dogs went out..This too shall pass... I am up 1 lb so time to get serious...because 1 lb leads to another..I know my body.

@its_cleo I think your trainer might be right. You know our body can go into starvation mode and actually make us gain or maintain...Trust me I know this is hard..this is where I am usually. I have found that if I don't eat all day until 4pm and then I can basically eat what I want I lose...but to me that is not a healthy way.

@trooworld I hope you rest tonight!!! Was it work? what caused you not to rest?

@theslightedgeforever I laughed about the beets...I love canned beets the way mom served them. You're recipes sound good, can you share? Maybe your DS fed the cantaloupe to Toby? LOL . I am glad you are seeing results.

@TrishasTime I think we will always struggle with stress eating, but when we realize what it is and stop..we are good. I am glad you found time for you!!!

@RetiredAndLovingIt I can't stand when its so humid you can't breathe or you just stand and sweat. Luckily we don't have a lot of humid days here...in IL that is so different..LOL

@its_cleo I'm sorry you are feeling so down. We've all been there. Starting, restarting, wondering if we'll ever get there. Would you be happy at 155 for the rest of your life? That means you have to maintain that weight. As we age, I've heard it's not as easy to lose weight but I know from my own experience and others that it's not impossible. Just a little bit more needed attention. We can't eat like we did in our 20s. maybe the gap from where you are right now to where you want to go is just too big. Shorten the gap to something that's doable for you. Are you eating the right type of calories. A banana and part of a candy bar is still about 100 calories. But for some reason I think eating the banana would help a person lose weight more consistently. in my own opinion, the occasional candy bar keeps a person going longer if you are a chocolate lover. It's balance. So why not do an experiment for October. Shift more of your calories to earlier in the daytime. See if that helps. I do understand your trainer's point. I have been telling my friend this same thing for awhile now. The only problem I see with that theory is that you have been eating at maintenance calories. Is that every single day? Are the calories spread out through the day or like you said you try and starve yourself all day long and then BOOM, you make up for it later in the night. Where does your period fit into all this? I was doing everything right as far as my carbs/calories were and I had a straight weight gain for 5 days. That is discouraging. But I stuck with it and now it's falling back off. Sometimes our bodies just hang onto the weight. We just need to be patient and ride out the storm. My usual way of thinking was I'm gaining weight so why am I sticking to this plan, I might as well eat and enjoy myself. But I didn't do that this time. Woohoo! It's paying off. You got this. Just a small speedbump in life right now.

@trooworld Repeat after me. It's going to be a great day today. I slept bad last night but I'm here to kick life's rear end today. :) Thoughts turn into words which turn into actions. OK, you lost me at goat cheese. :insert green nauseous face: I have tried it. But I didn't used to like feta either, so there's hope. Good for you for getting on the bike again.

@cbabie Outside is fun. It's good for you to take advantage of it right now. Can't believe you liked mom's beets. Maybe that's why you were her favorite.  Which beet recipe did you want? I bet Toby got a lot.

Another OP day for me. I was actually kind of low on both carbs and calories and I felt it by the end of the day. I don't like that feeling. So I need to plan different food for next time I think. It was a rest day for exercise.

Hello all. Well I slept better last night. I was doing some research on the internet and it seems that if you wake up multiple times during the night, it could be time to replace your mattress. Also, if your mattress is 8 years old or older, you should probably replace it. We bought ours in Dec 2012, so it's coming up on 8 years. And it was a cheaper mattress, so it is probably time. Yesterday at work, I had to go to a meeting at lunchtime where food was provided. It was pizza and salad. I had a small piece of pizza and about 3/4 c of caesar salad. I felt guilty about that pizza since I'm on keto and it made me go way over on my carbs. I still feel guilty, whipping myself with a wet noodle lol.

@cbabie Poor GGD...yes, we worry about keeping our teeth! That's good you are getting out with the baby. I thought I rested more but my FitBit says I rested the same? It was not work, I think it's the mattress but I am not sure, it might just be menopause.

@theslightedgeforever I wish I would have read your message yesterday morning lol. It actually wasn't a HORRIBLE day, but I was kind of grumpy yesterday lol. You don't like goat cheese? lol

    Morning all!

I stayed out too long in the sun yesterday, but the wonderful little child did not want to get out of the stroller. She cried like I was beating her every time I tried. I came home with a horrible headache...today we plan different. LOL

I didn't do very well eating last night..but not beating myself up. I have PT today, so hopefully better today.

@trooworld I think we need a new mattress too...it's been WAY longer than that

    @theslightedgeforever I was not moms favorite...LOL . I don't think mom had favorites. I always have a rest day for exercise..LOL

Hi all I am really busy but wanted to pop in and say thank you for the kind support....I think I will either adjust my calorie intake up to a more realistic goal or maybe relook at the exercise calories which I don't right now. And let the chips fall where they may re weight.

@theslightedgeforever I eat my calories throughout the day I think, but sometimes my dinner is the lightest meal, not by design just chance. I try not to do that but it's hard.

Anyway. Thanks for not kicking me out of the thread

    Good morning everyone

@its_cleo _ We would never kick yo out of the thread :) I agree with the others, what works for one person, may not work for another, what worked for us at our younger self definitely does not work now. I am sure you will work it out soon.

@cbabie - How is the treadmill going? It seems to me that your GGD is going to be an outside person when she grows up.

@trooworld - I am waking through the night as well, but my mattress is barely 4 months old. Maybe it is what happens at my age now?

@theslightedgeforever - Glad your weight is going down. Congratulations on the loss ;)

Had a bad food day yesterday and boy is my body telling me about it. Going to do a longer IF and let it settle down

    Weekend starts in 8 hours

    Take care

Hello gals. We had a gathering for someone's 30th work anniversary yesterday and there were lots of food hazards. I only had a single piece of cheese. And I stayed strong throughout the day, including when I had to go into that room multiple times to make copies or get water! :) I'm so proud of myself.

@cbabie Oh no! I hope today is better for you, too. Yeah, I was surprised to hear it was 8 years, I thought it was something longer but this was not a sales site that was telling me this, it was some organization having to do with sleep. I just looked it up again and Consumer Reports says that a mattress can last 10 years or more?

@its_cleo I'm sure you will find what works for you.

@TrishasTime Yes, that's what I was thinking if it wasn't my mattress. I hate it, I wake up every 30-60 minutes!!! :( Sorry you had a bad food day. Take your choices one at a time today and you can make it! :)

    Good morning!

@trooworld, good going on not caving in to the food temptations!! Yes, you should get a new mattress! We had a terrible mattress several years ago and my back was in constant pain until we bit the bullet and got a new one. Right now, I sleep on a Tempur-Pedic adjustable base. One of the best things about working in a furniture store was the incredible bedding sale they gave us once a year. They wanted us to have the best so we could sale the best. And I did!! ;)

@TrishasTime, Yup my body now rebels when I overdo it with the wrong foods. IF will get you back to where you feel better. :)

@its_cleo, I think you should listen to your trainer and start eating more. My Beachbody coach upped my calories from the 1500 to 1800 (remember that I weigh a lot more than you do). I thought she was crazy and I almost didn’t listen to her, but I’ve been working out every day and trying to hit the macros and calorie goal she gave me and in the last four days I’ve lost all the weight I gained in September. Are you getting in enough healthy fats? Calories aren’t the only indicator either. Do you take your measurements? Don’t stress yourself out, you will figure it out! <3

@cbabie, that sweet baby sure is making sure that you are getting your exercise and helping you exercise your patience too. I’m sorry she is in teething agony. That is no fun for any of you!! :/

@theslightedgefover, I have the same memory of canned beets. Yuck!! :s Let us know how your beet exerpiements go and I might give it a try. Wait!! What is the carb counts of beets? Have you tried roasted radishes? They are one of my new favorite things to eat! :)

TGIF!! Today is a good day because we are getting our fence put in and will now have a real backyard for our little dog to run around in. This is one of the reasons we wanted to move. We bought some new patio furniture from Wayfair that has to be put together this weekend, which will be awesome because the weather is finally going to cool off. We have been the high 90's forever! :s I'm ready to dig out my boots and flannel shirts.

I'm loving my new workout videos but they are killing me! This is the first morning where I'm not moaning and groaning with every movement. My weight is down finally from all that I had gained last month. BUT, tomorrow morning I have a bridal shower brunch and Sunday is the church potluck dinner. Having this 30-day challenge with this Beachbody coach has me really motivated and determined so I think (I hope!) that I will behave. ;) I'm off to work. Have a great day! :)

Morning all. Quick check in. Have a history with Tmj. Had it under control since May. At the beginning of the week I had a huge flare up and I can’t get in for acupuncture will wed so I am eating Advil like it’s candy. Hopefully I can get it under control with a couple of treatments. Been doing my physio rub downs daily so hopefully that starts to help as well.

Today and tomorrow will be rest days. Unless I can fit in a small workout. Of to Yorkton today to get some things then son has a football game at 7 then tom he has a junior jamboree in the afternoon. Then will be indulging in some drinks while I watch the Roughriders play Saturday at 5.

@TrishasTime in UK parents have to state 3 choices of schools-obviously need to be near enough but it doesn't guarentee place. Competition for best schools can be fierce. In Durham lucky that all 4 schools are good/outstanding so it's choosing best fit for your child- or nearest. Niece is more awkward as 1 school near by is awful, the other 2 are good but she also looked my dds' school which she prefered- she's multi-lingual & it is best for more languages.

@theslightedgeforever - I am very jealous of your DD. He's way too young for me but those abs!!!!! His fitness levels are sheer inspiration.

@its_cleo I'm struggling too. Hang in there what my trainer said made sense & works. Just exhausted with really bad cold & been eating odd stuff!
I'll reply to rest later- kids just arrived at car!

Morning all, I went to PT yesterday and laughed the whole time there. Patients and techs were all in jovial moods..so it was a good visit. I came home with my wrist sore, but all is good. I am sitting outside on the patio with my GGD and its 78 out..wonderful weather.

@TrishasTime Not so good on the treadmill, but the walks in the parks . LOL are a different story. She will not get out of the stroller until she is ready..I think she will love out doors, but my DH and her Grammy does too. If my DH had his way we would always be camping or exploring..LOL..me I like my house.

@renaegry Sorry for the TMJ, I have slight case of that...had to stop chewing gum, ugh. and sometimes my jaw feels like it pops out of socket..I hope you feel better soon.

@TeresaW1020 LOL I have nice office stuff, since I worked for an office furniture company. Congrats on the loss. Sometimes we just need a change.

@trooworld congrats on only eating cheese...PS I love feta cheese, not like my sis.. :)

@its_cleo I know you will figure out what works for you..and what you can live with. I have kind of made a decision that if I stay where I am, I could be okay..but I can't go higher in my weight...I just fill miserable!

@trooworld I'm telling you for next time. lol I'm really working on my thoughts and what we tell ourselves and learning how to respond to ourselves. Because of this I'm also picking up on how others are talking to themselves. It's a very interesting process once you start. Once the mind is open, you can really pick up on the thoughts. Today's lesson was relevant. The thought "It's okay to eat this because I don't get to have it very often" or "It's okay to eat this because I've been good all day". The correct response to that would be I need to face reality. If my goal is to lose weight, it’s not okay to eat unplanned food. I can always plan to eat it tomorrow, but history has taught me that making spontaneous decisions to go off my plan just doesn’t work. When I get on the scale tomorrow, I’m going to be very glad I didn’t eat it." From Judith Beck's book Diet Traps. There's also a possibility if you wake up multiple times a night you have sleep apnea. Have you been tested? Menopause is probably more like it but you never know. I have multiple friends that wear a CPAP machine at night. Woohoo. Look at you just eating cheese. That's great. You were in control. I think a mattress can last 10 or more years but I think after 7 it has lots of dust mites and stuff in it.

@cbabie I would have brought her in the house and left her in the stroller. lol You know me. She'll want to get out eventually. Are you using sunscreen and hats for you both? Nagging minds want to know. Yep, no beating yourself up. You had a pause with your program and moved on. Today is a new day. I love feta cheese just not goat cheese.

@its_cleo I think it's good that your dinner is the lightest. We all have our choices. Breakfast is usually my heaviest because I love breakfast. I barely eat lunch cause I'm not hungry during that time. It's just looking at your body and environment and figure out what works best for you. Nobody gets kicked out, we need everyone on the boat with their oars in the water so we can get to our destination. Sometimes one of us is tired and we may just sit there with our oar out of the water resting but eventually we get back in there and row.

@trishastime I'm hoping my weight continually goes down. I have two solid months under my belt. I think this is a record. I almost don't want to say it because then I wait for the other shoe to drop. But it's all in my control if I want to make it a solid 3 months. I choose what I put in my mouth. So what led to the bad food day?

@teresaw1020 Beets has 13-17g in one cup. Depends which site I like at. I didn't realize it was a superfood. I guess the bright red color should have tipped me off. Hooray on your weight loss. Your program is working. I don't like radishes. Never tried roasting them. But my dh loves radishes. I might try that. Make your plan for the potluck and stick with it.

@renaegry I've had TMJ before. I got it right after my first one went off to college. I grieved for 4 months. Lots of jaw clenching I think. I really feel for you because I remember how bad it was. Enjoy your weekend.

@joannadavison Being younger than you...... Don't you know cougars are in. Although I'm not sure what you all across the pond call them. I'm not talking about the spotted animal either. lol I hope your cold gets better.

OK I think I'm all caught up finally.

Hi all, think I need to take a break from posting for a while. My uncle has lung cancer, I just found out. It's hitting me hard.

I feel a little overwhelmed with life, I'm ok but thought I'd let you know why I've disappeared for a while.

@TeresaW1020 I'll stay with the fit challenge, the structure may help me to keep taking care.

    Hi

@its_cleo - so sorry to hear about your uncle, know that we are there to support you when and if you need us

@renaegry -Sorry you have TMJ, I hear that it can be extremely painful. I hope you get the relief you need quickly

@joannadavison - I hope you are feeling alot better, Great that you got back on track so soon

@cbabie - I read so much joy in your voice as you talk about your GGD. I am glad the therapy for your wrist is getting better

@theslightedgeforever - Your comment to @trooworld resonated with me as I often tell myself these things.

@trooworld - How is the exercise bike going?

@teresaw1020 - Did you adjust your carb intake with the extra calories, I am so glad this is working for you.

Yesterday was a good day, I still have 2 days to get back where I was (heres hoping). Just wondering is bamboo sheets, underwear etc a craze over where you guys are - it certainly is here. I bought a set of bamboo cotton sheets yesterday (nearly died at the price0. But they are supposed to help you sleep better as they help the body self regulate the temp. (I am trying this for my constant waking up)

    Take care

Hi gals. Yesterday was another successful day: I didn't have anything to bring to work for breakfast, so I had to buy something from the cafe. I was really worried about that because my go-tos from the cafe are an egg McMuffin type sandwich, burrito, or a bagel but this time, I got scrambled eggs with cheese and bacon which fits into my eating plan. Later, at the grocery store and hungry, my husband was picking out snacks and he wanted to find me some chips or something but we couldn't find any low-carb chips, so we ended up getting celery and guacamole.

@TeresaW1020 Well, the thing is, the mattress isn't uncomfortable and isn't sagging or anything, so I'm wondering if it isn't just menopause? What do you think? You were so lucky to get a discount on a good mattress!!! A backyard for the pooch (and you guys) will be nice. I'm glad you are enjoying your videos.

@renaegry I hope you can get some relief from the TMJ.

@cbabie I'm glad you were able to get some laughter in, somedays we need that. What nice weather! I love all kinds of cheeses, I think in my former life, I was a mouse lol.

@theslightedgeforever I love that lesson from today. So many people have the first response and think it's okay, but you are right, it's not. We need to change our thinking to the latter response. I'm going to copy this and put it in my journal...thanks! No to the sleep apnea and my doctor doesn't think it's that because my husband doesn't hear me wake up choking. Ew to the dust mites. Now I definitely want a new mattress!!!

@joannadavison Thanks! I'm on a roll. :) I hope you are feeling better/feel better soon. I'm glad it's the weekend, too.

@its_cleo I'm so sorry to hear about your uncle. My thoughts are with you.

@TrishasTime It's going well. My goal is 3 days a week and I'm going to hit 3 days this week. I don't think bamboo sheets are a thing over here yet? Let me know if it helps, I'll try it, too!!!

Morning!!! It's beautiful out here this morning. Both DH and GGD slept in until 8:30...I had a great morning in quiet..LOL . Yesterday my GGD found the grass part of our yard and loved walking in it.. Just 3 days ago I tried to get her to walk in it at the park and you would have thought it was hot lava...LOL . She is so funny. If we could just keep our curiosity for life as a baby does. They look at everything with untainted eyes..she ate garlic bread last night..she is keeping me from eating all I put on my plate...she wants what I eat now..LOL . She LOVES my protein shakes..God gave her to me for JOY...helps keep me young and healthy..

@joannadavison I am sorry you have been ill, here is to a better week!!!

@its_cleo I am so sorry to hear about your Uncle. HUGS and know we are here even if you just want to pop in and say Hi and that's it so we can give you hugs!!

@theslightedgeforever Sounds like you are doing great on your plan. Thanks for being an encouragement on here.

@TrishasTime Yes I do have fun with my GGD. Sometimes I get tired and trying to cook in the kitchen with her at my knees can be frustrating, but I love being with her. She is usually always smiling, unless you do something she doesn't like...strong willed she is..but trying to teach her its good to have a will, but also good to listen to directions..lol . So glad you are getting back in the grove. I have not heard of bamboo sheets..I thought isn't that itchy? LOL . See how my mind is too literal? LOL

@trooworld great job on your choices. This is your month of getting back!! LOL I could see you as a mouse. :)

Hope you all have a great weekend.

    Good morning everyone

Sunday here :) Slept in until 6.30am. Yesterday had unplanned event and did not choose wisely. I have washed the bamboo sheets and they are now on the bed. I will let you know how it goes. I need to get on and start doing some meal planning for next week and then go and do a shop (yuk)

@cbabie _ Aren't they so funny? Are you planing on getting on the treadmill soon or are you just happy to hang outside with GGD?

@trooworld - You seem to be making better choices than this 3 months ago. Is there such a thing as low carb chips? Atkins (which I imagine is over there) have alot of snacks you could pick up that is low carb

Hope everyone else is doing well

@joannadavison Glad to hear you are feeling better and back on track.

@its_cleo Sorry to hear about your uncle. I gained 15 lbs when my mom was diagnosed. Looking back all my stress eating did nothing to help her cancer. So keep doing Teresa's challenge as a reminder of activities for good health.

@trishastime The bamboo sheets haven't made it to my neck of the woods. I have heard of bamboo kitchen utensils.

@trooworld Sounds like you are making good choices when you run into a food situation beyond your control.

@cbabie Aren't mornings without others around the best thing. I'm glad to see you are having fun with your GGD.

@trishastime So replay the unplanned event in your mind and see what you would have done differently. What you would have told yourself at the time. This is a stage rehearsal for next time.

Another OP day. I did 30 min walking in the mall with dh. This next week will be an extremely social week for me. I have 2 morning and 3 evening events. Plus a dr app for mil thrown in for good measure. I'm just going to take them day by day.

@its_cleo, so very sorry about the news of your uncle. We are here for you whenever you feel like posting. <3

@joannadavison, I hope you are feeling better! <3

@theslightedgefover, I really liked what you said to trooworld about our thoughts and how we will justify eating something we know is NOT on our plan and won’t be good for us. I watched this TED talk last night that fits right into what you said. Check it out! :)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxJVbzdf5gI

@trooworld, good job sticking to your plan at work! Do you like pork rinds? I love the spicy ones dipped in guacamole. Soooo good!! Yes, menopause definitely changed my sleep. :# I take 10 mg of Melatonin and a sleep aid most nights. I’m doing good if I can get at least 6 hours of sleep.

@cbabie, I am so happy you are enjoying your grandbaby so much! That age is both frustrating and magical. My sister has a very difficult and stressful life and she is helping to raise her now 18-month granddaughter and 5-year-old grandson. Your post often reminds me of her. <3

Good morning! Well, we didn’t get the fence because the company we had originally choose and then canceled didn’t get that information. It was quite comical and a bummer because we were really excited about our new backyard. It will happen eventually! :D I went to the bridal shower yesterday and did pretty good with my food choices. I wish I had read @theslightedgeforever post to @trooworld first and that TED talk I just posted above and I would have done even better. Today is the potluck and I am determined to do great. The theme for the potluck is “bring your favorite apps” I bringing hard salami, cheese, and pork rinds. I WILL NOT be visiting the dessert table or loading up on any high carb foods. I have a very busy day today and was worried about getting my workout in, sooooo I got up at 6:30 and banged out my 30-minute cardio video. Who the heck am I??? :oB)

Good morning gals! Yesterday was a good day but I went over my carbs by 30 grams, all in good foods not sugary or unplanned foods, so I'm not too upset. I'm leaning towards a loss tomorrow which is good news! Today, I meal prep. My husband is currently refusing to help me cook but hopefully, he will help me because it will be overwhelming to cook all of this today. Here is what I am cooking:
    • Low Carb Philly Cheesesteak Skillet
    • Keto Alfredo Chicken Bake
    • Keto Chicken and Cauliflower Cheese Bake
    • Low Carb Creamy Balsamic Chicken with Sundried Tomatoes
    • Low Carb Tuscan Style Sausage Skillet

@cbabie Your morning sounds peaceful. Did you get on the treadmill? Read the paper and have coffee? What did you do? Thanks for your support, it means a lot! This IS my month lol.

@TrishasTime It is Sunday here, now, and coincidentally, I woke up at 6:30 as well lol. Yes, I am making better choices. There are pork rinds, but I don't like them. I haven't found another low carb chip, and maybe it is best that I don't lol.

@theslightedgeforever I am, I am staying strong. Thanks for your support. Much appreciated.

@TeresaW1020 Unfortunately I do not like pork rinds. My husband loves them, though. I will try melatonin, I have not tried it yet, thanks! That's great that you can bring your own appetizer to the potluck today, at least you know you can eat THAT. Great job getting up early for your workout, woot woot!!!

@TeresaW1020 Yep I am sure your sister and I are similar since you and I are...LOL I am sure you will do well today!

@TrishasTime I plan to get on the treadmill, but I need to get to make the plan..LOL I have to do some shopping and meal planning today too...baby is eating different foods now..LOL

@theslightedgeforever our mom made us morning people..LOL

Good day. Got on the treadmill today and watched another episode of Bosch. Did 2.83 miles burning 340 cals in 45 min. Jaw is still killing me. Advil isn’t even doing the job like it used too. Can’t wait for acupuncture on Wed. At least I know that worked the last time. Been struggling with this for over a year. Had relief for 4 months. Think I am going to have to make a point of doing monthly acupuncture and tmj massage to stay on top of it.

@TrishasTime that’s a crazy amount of time for IF. I have trouble doing 12 hours. Lol

@trooworld I would love to have your weather. Lately barely been hitting double digits in Celsius and been very windy.

@joannadavison tmj is trouble with your jaw. It has to do with the muscles at the joint. Very painful since there are so many nerves running thru. Gives aweful jaw pain headache teeth hurt. Pain in my temple. Not fun.

    Good morning everyone

@renaegry - Most of my IF is sleeping and I tend to keep myself busy in the morning. I hope you get some relief soon. Good for you for getting on the treadmill despite being pain

@cbabie - I find if Ikeep something heavy over my legs, they do not tend to hurt. Maybe that will help

@trooworld - where did you get the keto recipes - do you just google or are you in a recipe club. Fingers crossed for your loss

@teresaw1020 - Well done for fitting in your cardio - How does salami cheese and pork rinds fffit into your favourite apps?

@thelsightedgeforever - My rehearsal for next time is to have better foods on hand.

Well the scales accurately reflected my eating pattern this week, a well deserved gain. I keep on going down to the same number and then going up - need to think about what is causing the problem

    Take care

Hello gals, good morning. I did lose weight this past week: 2.2 lbs, which is a nice amount! I didn't get all the meal prep done I had hoped, I was feeling lazy. The only meal prep that got done was what my hubby ended up doing (3 dishes). I really need to do some of it on Saturdays so that this doesn't happen.

@cbabie I'm so sorry you had a horrible, painful night. Does it help to ice it?

@renaegry I do twice monthly acupuncture to stay on top of things...I find things don't get out of hand if I do that. I get acupuncture for my knees and my back. Oh my, it's been so long since I've been in that cold of weather that I am having trouble picturing it lol.

@TrishasTime Usually I just google them, but these particular recipes I got out of the Carb Manager app. They have recipes that users have rated, so I chose highly rated recipes to try. I hope you have a better week this week.

    Sorry missed so many posts.
Busy weekend sorting/helping with family issues. Food not good at weekend- eldest was on parade at an event. Chips at a fun fair that followed. Niece slept over (pizza & ice cream) then we drove to airport ( 2.5 hours away) to pick her Mum up (family emergency) so service station food- we have no healthy choices.
Hoping a better week & routine.
