Morning all, I found myself hitting the ice cream last night, knowing I shouldn't. But something happened and someone went to bed upset and it just sent me spiraling. I know better. I also saw myself when my 2 year old was fussy offering her food. I said today oh no, this is setting her up for failure. Have to make good habits now.
I did take her for a walk last night, the only exercise I got in. I find myself gritting my teeth all day long. I really have to get a handle on this or I will not have teeth in my head. Deep breath...Deep Breath. I had to work form 7-3 yesterday and 8-4 today. I really don't like these 8 hours days, but then I have the rest of the week off. So gritting my teeth and getting through it. LOL

@renaegry glad to have you back in the game...I am a work in progress. LOL

@TeresaW1020 Yea that program is expensive. She is on FB all the time now talking about it, just not telling you what it is and showing before and after pictures. I am glad you are loving your new workout program

@trooworld I would like to try one of those things I keep seeing in the adds that "hold all your fat in and smooth out the rolls". :). I need one, I just won't call it a girdle. I will call it my bodyware.

@theslightedgeforever I can see your DH eyes roll. LOL. Well someday (probably not) your son will not be all or nothing at his routine...he comes from it naturally you see...his aunt has those same things. LOL

@trooworld I only got 75% of my water goal today. Just keep tweaking and you will figure it out. Do you use MSG in anything? Bullion cubes? I know my friend found some relief when she started eliminating foods with it. https://leaf.tv/articles/list-of-foods-containing-msg/ This article lists some other names it goes by in products. So what are you going to do to get into the "zone". You get 1 minute for fat-burning and 2 minutes for cardio/peak. They set my goal at 22 min. Which means roughly 11 minutes or so of exercise if I'm doing it intense enough. I did 14 minutes of the Shrek video yesterday and got in all my zone minutes. But I also earned 4 more zone minutes by just walking around my house back and forth to get in some extra steps. That got me into the fat burning zone for at least 4 minutes out of the 18 minutes I was walking.

@renaegry When you wrote Head is in the game, somehow the High School Musical song "Get'cha Head in the Game ran through my head. There's always a song for me. So anytime you feel like straying, just sing that song to put you back on course. lol Hit those zone minutes hard.

@teresaw1020 My friend mentioned the fitbit zone minute thing a couple of weeks ago. I looked and I didn't have it. We both have Versa watches. Then I noticed a 'update tracker' notice this week. It's not the same thing as active minutes. The desktop version still uses active minutes. This uses your resting heartrate and my fat-burning zone numbers change according to it. So far this week I have had 101 bpm, then 100 bpm, and now 102 bpm to get into my fat-burning zone. They also changed the formula to get that number. But for now, it's something for me to shoot for every day besides my burned calories. Yaaay on the scale going down. You will love your porch. That is where I begin each day and then about an 45 min before sunset I'm there again. Sometimes I'm just sitting and sweating and in the wintertime I'm freezing with a blanket but I love it. I think I'm going to put a ceiling fan up for next summer.

@cbabie Instead of ice cream what if you were to buy those WW fudgsicles. You lost weight with those before. So if you feel the need to go splurge, grab one of them. Plus they are already pre-portioned. Good for you for your walk. I call my Spanx shapewear cause I pretend it's giving me a nice shape. lol Yes on the son/aunt all or nothing attitudes.

Yesterday was a good day. Stayed within calories. Got in 13k steps. Drank my water and did a mini Fitbit coach workout.

Same goals today. Water calories steps.

Morning all, I had the worst day yesterday at work, cried all day. People are just rude and mean. I can't say that I like what I do, I actually have other dreams and its time I start going after my dreams. Just have to convince DH...LOL. That being said, food was my comfort yesterday. I was so emotionally drained and food and zoning in TV seemed to be the ticket. however, I MADE myself get on the scale today and I am the heaviest I have been in at least 7 years.
So this morning I first woke up, went outside.. OMG it was so cool and nice. I put on my music sang, read my Bible, just in my happy place. Then I got on my TM and walked 30 min...came in took a shower and ready for the day. I drank a protein shake. You see I know my body thrives on protein. I have always built muscles easy when I exercised..

@trooworld I almost spit my protein shake out of my mouth when I read your post. I could just "see" the rolling pin over my body. LOL Oh the things and gimmicks I have done over the years. I am so glad you are feeling better. I hate joint/bone pain. I like you am tired of being miserable.

@TeresaW1020 I would love my back porch screened in...maybe that's a job for my DH ..LOL It could be a stress reliever. :)

@theslightedgeforever , yes I used to lose weight on lots of things. I have to laugh...when you said mom and her girdle...I can still see her pouring Baby Powder into it to get it on...that's probably what gave her cancer. :(
my fitbit only stays charged one day now if that...I am hoping to make it last even though I would love a new one..but then I would have to decide what I wanted..LOL

@renaegry Great job on the steps and staying in goal.

@cbabie Oh I’m sorry that your job is so awful! If you can change it and follow your dreams I say do it! I’m glad that the weather is nicer for you too. Yes! Get your DH to screen that porch. I’m sure he can find a YouTube video on how to do it. ;)

@theslightedgeforever I looked, and I don’t think I have the zone minute thing. I did an update but I have a Charge 3 so maybe it’s not supported on that. Or I’m missing something. Yes! I can’t wait for the porch and I know that DH and I both will use the heck out of it. We have a ceiling fan and I highly recommend you getting one. :)

@trooworld I’m glad that you will be able to go to a spine clinic and hope the x-ray gives them some insight. The oils that I use are olive oil (although I just read that many brands use seed oils to cut it with), avocado oil, and ghee. The porch should be done in a week or so. The guy is out there painting it now and the screens themselves have to be ordered and then installed. I can’t wait! :)

@renagry Good for you for sticking to your plan! B)

Hi everyone! It’s been a busy day. I got up early, did some church work, my workout, went and got my hair done, made pulled pork, and did some laundry. And we have church tonight! The good news is that I don’t have to go to the staff meeting tomorrow. Yesterday, I fasted for 24 hours and kept my food under 600 calories. Today, I fasted 20 hours and have eaten a lot more but my carbs are under 50 grams. The scale was down another .02 this morning so I’m motivated to keep it going in the right direction. :)

@trooworld I had another friend today talk about pain she was having and inflammation. Are you seeing any of those orange skies? I got 100% of my water in. Yes you are right about "only". Can you get at least 75% today?

@renaegry Good for you for meeting all your goals. Feeling accomplished is such a motivator.

@cbabie Yaaay for starting your day out right. Did your boss give you permission to disengage the call when they start being rude? I think I remember something about that. You are too nice. Be more like me. "Thank you for your call. Click. Remember this is not about you personally, they are venting in anger because they are scared.. Life sucks for alot of people right now. People are getting evicted. Food lines are a lot longer. They are worried about just paying for the basics. Remember my song Have a Nice Day....keep singing that in your head. Or on the phone if you could get away with it.

@teresaw1020 I think the Charge 3 has the update. I'll have to find out where I saw that update tracker message. It wasn't just by updating the app but it was inside the app itself. Keep working towards your goals. They sound like they are working.

Morning all, I did manage to get on the TM 20 mins this morning, my goal was 30, but I had to be on a zoom meeting and I go up late. So 20 is better than 0...LOL. I ate terrible last night, I am trying to keep it real in here, it will help me make the changes I need to make. Funny I put all my food in and it says, if you continue to eat like that you will weigh....and it was 12 lbs less.. LOL. It's like I just blossomed out all of a sudden...but I know it wasn't. I am reading a good book, it's called you are the girl for the job..its a book study online and its really hitting home.

@trooworld I hope you get answers from the xray.. I like that 7 1/2 hour sleep time...The only time I sleep that long is when I am sick. LOL

@TeresaW1020 I am at the point, I don't ever want to fast again. LOL. Glad you are starting services again. We just started Wed night services last night too. I didn't go, not sure I will right now

@theslightedgeforever I am too nice at times and I have gotten better at not taking it personally, but these calls where people are just hateful, and WANT what THEY WANT, it's like trying to reason with a 2 year old. I know people are hurting and full of fear and I have a sing on my desk that says be nicer than you feel. LOL. I just feel at this point in my life, why do I have to deal with that...I am nice, I can be rude and sometimes I won't give them anything...where as if they would have been nice, I might have worked with them.

aw crap!!! I had a big thing typed & looked back without thinking & lost it all!

@theslightedgeforever I wish I had that update on my Fitbit, but I looked on the website & it is only Charge 4, Ionic & Versa. I have the Charge 2. Might be upgrading tho..I think I put a big crack on my screen when working at the farm. Looks like you are doing good on your goals!

@trooworld Sorry you have been in so much pain, but glad it has gotten a little better for you. I am beginning to think food has a lot to do with how a person feels. I am seriously thinking of trying Whole Food Plant Based like my sister. I think my cough must be caused from reflux, so would like to get that under control.

@TeresaW1020 I am so jealous of your screened porch. I have always wanted one, but dh not so much. You have been doing so well with your exercise, hope you find the food plan that works for you.

@cbabie Yeah for getting on the treadmill!! Sorry your job has been so stressful. When I was working, I had to deal with the public, too. Can be fun sometimes! (not)

Well, we have finally gotten the broken trees cleaned up enough to mow the fields. Still a lot of trees down in the lane of the timber, that will take awhile. We worked for about 2-3 days, then take 2-3 days off--getting too old to keep it up, lol. I kinda felt like a pack mule..dh would cut with the chain saw & I would drag the branches & throw in piles. Worse part was because it was farm fields It is so rough to walk in. I think the town where we used to live has finally gotten the worst of the damage cleaned up also. Most of them were without power for 7-10 days!

Our sunflowers have gone crazy..I guess they like hot, dry weather. They are about 10 feet tall & there is 25-30 blossoms on each stalk. Our poor pumpkin patch is gone, tho. The neighbors big shed door landed in the middle of the patch during the storm. And it had gotten so weedy, & the wind flattened the weeds & choked out the pumpkin vines. We have found some vines, but nothing on them. We will wait another 2-3 weeks & see if we can find anything, but will probably just be gourds if anything. We should be seeing pumpkins by now and we aren't.

School started here on the 25th. Dd is teaching kindergarten in person & the gkids going to in person classes. So far, so good, I guess. Dd has to wear a mask & face guard & now they have gotten her a microphone so the kids can hear her. School in OK started on the 24th. They opted in person, but school started "pivot to home" (school teachers on line). The virtual learning classes were totally prerecorded & not school teachers, so not ideal. Dd is still working from home, so she was able to put the gkids in a program that their church offered with volunteers. They were doing pivot from home classes, but were at the church, so dd could still do her work. Seemed to be working pretty good for her, but so many people were complaining that they wanted the kids in school in person, so the school board relented & they will start that on the 17th. She is not happy about that, but not much choice. Iowa & OK are both way in the red for cases, so just hoping for the best.

As for me, I have put my calories to maintain, but am trying to stay below the number. Must be a mental thing, I can stay under it when I do this, but if I even do "Lose 1/2 pound", I am always over. I feel like I should lose, but probably very slowly. Starting in Sept. I am trying to average my 10,000 steps again. I have been under a few days, but most days have been over. Some walks outside & some on the treadmill. Been getting 6-8 glasses of water, so happy with that.

We have dentist appointments & another grocery pick up tomorrow. I keep wondering if I should schedule my colonoscopy or wait. It was due in Feb, but Dr forgot to make the appt, then covid hit...etc. It is something that is really easy to put off, lol, but I know I should be doing it. We got our flu shots the other day. Well, not much more for now.

Doing alright here. Hit my 10k everyday so far. Joined a step bet which will start on Monday for 6 weeks. So that should help get me moving. Eating alright. Within my calories. But could be eating a bit healthier.

@trooworld I wondered if you were seeing the orange skies. woohoo on your 100% . I did 25% today. :| So back to it.... seems like that "lose weight" remedy is good for lots of things. ;) If only it were as easy as taking a pill.

@cbabie Yes, 20 is better than 0. Remember how mom would love to say Elizabeth this is the big one....like Fred Sanford? You moved out of black and white into gray territory. :woohoo: Today I kept reading when I should have been up exercising so I only had 15 min left but i thought I can still get in a little and did a 12 min video plus walked around for 3 min and earned 19/22 of my zone minutes for the day. If I had said oh I don't have time, I would have been looking at 0/22 and had to try and make them up later. 3 minutes to go is so motivating vs 22 min. your book sounds good. Hooray on you getting on the treadmill, plus checking in with us, and tracking.

@retiredandlovingit. I was worried about you recently, thinking the corona had got you since Iowa seems to be going through the roof. I was going to send you a msg and found out we aren't friends on here. My son is moving to Houston in two weeks. I was really worried about him moving there in the midst of the high numbers and now I'm hoping he makes it out of Iowa. lol You could calculate the zone minutes manually. Once you get your heart rate zones, you get 1 point for each minute in fat-burning and 2 points for each minute in cardio/peak. The weekly goal is to get 150 minutes. It's just broken down into 22 minutes a day. But since I take rest days, I'd have to work harder on other days. Which I did today. I earned 45. I also like this better because on active minutes you have to be exercising at least 10 min to start earning them. Zone minutes are calculated individually. So if you go upstairs and it pushes your heart rate into fat burning zone for a minute then you get one point. I guess it's meant to help you be active throughout the day versus just during "exercise time". The zones are also based on your resting heart rate figured in. I just noticed my cardio range just got bumped up from 121 bpm to 123. I agree with the cough and reflux thing. When I gained back a bit of weight from my sickness and covid, my heartburn came back along with the cough. I was rid of it back in the fall last year. You got in alot of great exercise carrying those branches. I think that's the fun kind. Speaking of appointments, I'm past due for pap smear, mammogram and yearly physical. So I have to get those things done. I was just imagining myself disinfecting my body parts after those tests. :D I carry a little sanitizer spray bottle with me everywhere. I drive dh nuts when we are out spraying tables and then wiping off my glass. I hope I don't end up turning into one of those germphobic people like Howie Mandel.

@renaegry You sound like you are back in the zone. Good for you. You do well with some boundaries/goals. So the goal of "eating a bit healthier" is not really specific. What would that look like to you on a daily basis. Eat 1 fruit or Eat 1 veggie? People vary on their responses of this. Some people would say Reduce my fat grams by 5. Or Increase my fiber grams by 5. Everyone has their own idea of what "healthy food" is.

I read the funniest thread on Twitter today about a 2nd grade online school class. The teacher's screen froze and the kids took over. One of the parents was live tweeting it.

@RetiredAndLovingIt Hi, I am glad to see you checking in with us! <3 Sounds like you have been very busy with the clean-up. Those sunflowers sound amazing! I know you are worried about your daughter and grandkids being back in school. It’s such a hard call for everyone if they should be in school or not. We have that going on here and being a college town, our numbers have started really going up since the kids have returned. I know we all wish this craziness would end already! Get your colonoscopy taken care of. One of the biggest side effects of COVID is people not taking care of their health in other areas that matter too. :/

@cbabie 20 minutes is better than no minutes so good job! I looked up that book you are reading, and it looks like a really good one! I hope you gain some real insight into how God sees you and how he is working in your life. I don’t know if I have ever told you about a woman I know. Kimberly Taylor is an amazing woman of God and has a wonderful website and several books that are really worth reading. Look her up! :)Take Back Your Temple

@trooworld I did use the crockpot for my pulled pork. What I do is cut slits in the meat and stuff garlic cloves in, season heavily with McCormick’s BBQ seasoning, several drops of liquid smoke, and then add in a bottle of diet, Dr. Pepper. Cook it until done, drain most of the liquid, shred the meat, add in sautéed onions and green peppers, and then enjoy with your favorite BBQ sauce. I also make a really tasty coleslaw to go with it. Yup, losing weight for us all with help with all kinds of health issues. I’m really hoping that the more I lose the less back and knee pain I will have to deal with. I hope the clinic can tell you what those X-rays mean and more importantly how best to give you relief from your pain. <3

Good morning! Today is weigh-in day and I’m down a pound for the week. 202 lbs. exactly and slowly heading towards Onderland. I looked back over my weight log for the year and January thru May was terrible with April and May being the worst months. On June 1st I had decided enough was enough and I was going to make the second half of the year count. So far so good! This month I am cutting the weekly wine binges and doing carb cycling and that seems to be having a positive effect. Last night, DH went to Subway and for the first time, I got one of their salads filled with spinach, all the veggies, the Italian meats, chipotle dressing and it was delicious! I didn’t have chips or a cookie. Well, I did have a bite of DH’s cookie, but I didn’t have my own. And instead of feeling deprived, I felt in control and that is a VERY nice feeling. I’m going to stick to low carb for the next two days because Saturday I have a wedding to go to and this girl will eat cake!! B)

@theslightedgeforever moring. Very good question about the eating healthy. I definitely need more veggies. Other then my salad at noon I tend to slack with that. And cut back on the carbs. I am tracking my macros and would like to stay on track but I am either short on protein or over on fat and/or carbs.

@cbabie agreed. Any time doing anything is better then no time doing nothing.

Just been walking this week. Will start weights and workouts from Fitbit next week. Looking forward to the 6 week step bet. Always seems to get my butt moving. My weight as dropped 3 lbs this week just from the less booze from camping. Told myself for the whole week allowed 6 drinks. At the lake was like having 6 a day when we were there. As soon as kids off to school going to get my walk in then clean windows outside. Forecast is nice today 26C.

Hi again--I have a few minutes until Dr Oz is on--that's when I do my treadmill walking, lol.

@renaegry Good luck with your step bet. Just found out my daughter does that, too & it really motivates her. She did a lot of walking when she & the gkids were here for the summer & that's why. Veggies can be hard, I get stuck in a rut with broccoli.

@TeresaW1020 Your pulled pork sound delicious! I know I need to get the normal checkups done..did my 6 month dentist this am, lol. & we have started back with our monthly chiro, too. Need to schedule the others, colonoscopy, mammogram, etc. Those are the kind that are easy to put off as long as possible. Only 2# to go for onederland..you will be there soon!

@trooworld Hope they can figure out a good plan for your back now that they have the x-rays. I have thought about you in CA with the forest fires! Such crazy weather & things happening this year!! Nope, it is too late for the pumpkins this year. I think the dry weather is as much to blame as anything. So next year I think we are going to plant a few hills in our back yard by the garden & we can take better care of it (watering & weeding). We only need a few pumpkins anyway, & the gkids are too busy now & don't like to help anymore. Our huge patch is just too much for us, especially when it is so far away.

@theslightedgeforever Thanks for thinking about me & sorry I was MIA for so long! Hope your son has a good move. (this is the one in Johnston, right?) Yeah, I need that checkup also. I have been putting it off, too, because trying to decide if I want to still go to my old Dr for it since it is only once a year or find someone here. I really like the old one, but not sure it is worth a 2 1/2 hr drive. But she is in Cedar Rapids, so I could see all their storm damage. Thanks for the info about the Fitbit, I might have to try to figure it out. Yeah, I kept telling myself I was burning more calories carrying branches. I try to wash my hands, use sanitizer, etc. but haven't been anywhere to have to spray tables, lol. I might already be close enough to Howie, don't need more. Dd was telling us that her friend has one of those disinfecting lights, so when they have gone out to eat, the friend waves it all over the table & seats, etc. That is so funny about the kids in the classroom.

Well, time to get busy. Hope everyone has a great weekend. Hope my picture isn't too huge! This one had at least 32 blooms!

Afternoon, I didn't get on the treadmill this morning my schedule is not normal but I did take baby girl on a walk so that counts for something tracking my food to day trying to say on top of a healthy diet.

@trooworld I normally sleep 3-4 hrs a night...wish it was uninterrupted sleep. Lol
@TeresaW1020 I did look her up and saw you too..lol. thanks for her information. Glad you are almost to wonderland...
@renaegry sounds like your getting your "u" back! Congratulations on the loss
@theslightedgeforever you're so funny NOT lol...you know we did have lots of laugh at dads expense..lol. glad you got up as well 😁😁😁

@RetiredAndLovingIt I would say you got your workout..lol. yes I work for a credit repair company...people and THEIR money are fun....actually, there are a lot of hurting people and I can usually make them laugh...but not this past week...😩

Had a great day yesterday. Went for a 5.77 km walk then went and cut grass for an hour. Had 14.5k steps in before noon. Finished off the day just under 20k. Today’s plan is to do some house cleaning. Do some yard work and clean inside my truck. So not sure if I will get my steps in or not.

@trooworld I got in 25% today. Weekends are tough but I need to be tougher. For your xray, L is the lumbar area and the number is the level. S stands for sacral area. Think of your spine as stairsteps divided into areas. The human spinal column is made up of 33 bones - 7 vertebrae in the cervical region, 12 in the thoracic region, 5 in the lumbar region, 5 in the sacral region and 4 in the coccygeal region. I only know all this because my hubby has degenerative arthritis in his C3, C4, and now C5. Which is his neck area.

@teresaw1020 Hooray for your lb lost. It looks like you are finding your groove.

@renaegry Woohoo on the weight loss. When I was consistent last year on my carb cycling, I was always under on my protein and over for my carbs/fat. But still lost 23 lbs. So I don't worry too much about that right now. I figure once I'm at goal weight, then I'll try and figure out the protein thing if need be. It just depends what my needs are at the time.

@retiredandlovingit yes on the son in Johnston. Hm.. I didn't see the pic. Did you get in your walk with Dr. Oz?

@cbabie Movement is movement. You did good getting out and getting some fresh air. Plus your tracking

That's all I have time for today.

I just realized I didn't track. I'll have to go back and do that. Intentional movement: 32 min walking 10 min YouTube video 21 min dancing

@cbabie HaHa what a funny picture! She gave the angel her halo. :D

@trooworld Making a cheese souffle is so fancy! I’ve never had one but would love to try it someday. Are you going to be able to do your anti-inflammatory diet with your DH? I think you just have to make it happen like I am trying to with low carb and still satisfying my DH and mom. I admit it takes more effort but hopefully it will be worth it. :)

@theslightedgeforever I think I am finding my groove. Let’s just hope I don’t fall back out of it. How’s your groove doing? :)

Good morning! Well, yesterday DH and I went to the wedding of our worship pastor. The young couple is so sweet and shy. She looked beautiful! There were probably 100 people or so there and we did talk about if we should go with the virus on the rise here but in the end, we decided that we didn’t want to miss it. Most people wore their masks during the ceremony and at the reception, we sat with the other staff members. The staff at the venue all wore masks and gloves and at the buffet, we went up one table at a time and were served. Plus, I refuse to worry about it. ;) I’m taking today off from working out because I did nine days in a row and I need a break. Dinner tonight will be a Keto green chili chicken chili that looked really good. Mom and DH get rice with theirs. OK, I need to get ready for church! Have a great day! :)

@teresaw1020 If you do fall out, then you got jump right back in. Exercise is good. Food has been so-so staying within boundaries this week. Meanwhile I'm 2 weeks late on my "expected" period. With menopause, who the heck knows. So I'm bloated big time and fear I'll end up like Aunt Marge in Harry Potter soon.

@trooworld I got in 50% today too. I went back and tracked the numbers for yesterday too. I was over. That's what I get for not tracking in advance.

Hi all--it has finally quit raining here! No rain all summer to help the gardens, lawns, etc & then we had rain every day for a week, and chilly..highs in the 50's. It was nice yesterday, too. Going to warm back up to the 80's for a few days..oh yay, we are going back out to the farm. Oh well, we get a Mocha Frappe treat on the way home! Bad for the calories, but I enjoy them.

@trooworld Hope your anti-inflammatory diet helps your back. My dh has had a lot of back surgeries on the L-S discs. Interesting fact I remembered when slightedge was telling you about the vertebrae..when my dd went to the Chiro & had x-rays done, they said she has an extra thoracic vertebrae. I love roasted almonds. (although I am usually lazy & buy the dry roasted, salted ones at Costco!

@TeresaW1020 Glad you decided to go to the wedding, I am sure it meant a lot to the couple. I understand what you mean about not worrying about it. I feel like I am doing everything I can reasonably do & hope it will be enough. I can't worry about it. Good idea for a rest day, I think we need those once in awhile.

@theslightedgeforever Yes, I did walk during Dr Oz. I have been getting my steps pretty well but yesterday was a "rest day" and we went over to dd's for lunch, so I didn't do as much as usual. Gs turns 11 on Thursday, so we took his present, too. He has started playing flag football again, but we didn't go to the game on Sat (it was too early). The boys all wear masks (gaiters, I think) & everyone that gets on the school property where they play has to wear a mask also. So I would feel safe enough going, next week the game is at noon. I should be able to make that one, lol.

I have another cute picture of the sunflowers. One of the stalks got so heavy with the seeds & flowers that it kept bending over & finally broke last week on a windy day. So there is a 2 foot stalk out there. Its bare but for a couple of leaves, but now there is one little flower on the stalk. Guess it just doesn't want to give up, lol. We had to trim some of the heads off the other ones or they would have broken, too.

Well, I need to go & get something done. I have already done 30 minutes on the treadmill, tho, so that is something!

    Have a great day.

Morning all..I was so upset when I just logged on and found out my post (from my phone) did not get saved..oh well. I didn't get on the TM yesterday and only had 13 min today , but I will take it. I am trying to work on consistency. That's my current goal.

    @theslightedgeforever great job on OP

@trooworld Yea on your water , glad the new recipe was good!!

@TeresaW1020 Glad you got to go to the wedding!! Sounds like your back on track!! YEA

@RetiredAndLovingIt I have a girlfriend that loves Sunflowers. Everytime I see one I think of her, Now I will think of you! :)

@TeresaW1020 I'm glad to hear you had a good time at the wedding and that everyone was trying to mitigate risk with masks and social distancing. I hope you and your love ones continue to stay well and healthy!

@trooworld Do share, what kind of dessert did you get?! The anti-inflammatory dinner sounds delicious too

@cbabie Consistency is key. You got this!

@RetiredandLovingIt It's been insanely rainy here as well! I agree it's so nice to see the sun shine after all that rain

@theslightedgeforever I get in trouble when I don't track in advance either (and heck I'm not tracking at all lately!)

Hi all, sorry I disappeared again. This is one of those chapters in life where life is so crazy that I feel like I can barely breath sometimes. I'm not tracking, I don't like what I see in the mirror, but I also can barely function in my day to day life right now and I know I have zero energy to put towards this in a productive way right now which sucks.

I did get out of my 14 day quarantine which feels nice and I'm back at work in person and away from the kitchen which will hopefully help. I also finally bought a year subscription to the Beachbody streaming service. I was getting bored of the PopSugar ones and needed a change.

Y'all, I miss pre-pandemic life so much. I miss Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I miss feeling active and healthy and having a full social life instead of a life that seems to have been taken over by stress and obligations. I am so worried I'm going to come out of all this unrecognizable and I hate it.

@trooworld I got in 0% water today. It was one of those hit the ground running days and didn't think about it til just this minute. Your dinner sounds good.

@retiredandlovingit Yaaay for getting in lots of steps. It's so good for us as we age. That is interesting about your dd and the vertabrae. I wonder if that makes her just a bit taller? I tried roasting almonds once and burnt them. So never did that again. Too easy to buy them already roasted.

@cbabie As trooworld says, take out the word ONLY from your sentence. You walked 13 min. Better than the day before. Every little bit counts and is sometimes better because you are chipping away at perfectionism and are fitting in movement wherever you can in your busy lifestyle. It doesn't have to be a certain number to count. Even stopping and getting in 5 min is good or even running in place 30 seconds. Plus look how consistent you have been with checking in here. You are forming new habits.

@mswatson0777 Right now just do what you can. Maybe that's just track one meal a day. Maybe that's turning down sugar for the moment. Notice I didn't say all day. Each decision is one all it's own. Like steps of a staircase. They are either going to take you up or down. Yes, I miss my old life too. Well parts of it. I had to take my mil to the dr today. I had actually been glad I didn't have to take her for routine exams because it's just so stressful. It was a leg and foot check because of her diabetes. Now they have sent us to a vascular dr cause there seems to be a problem on one side. I was glad for the excuse of a pandemic not to take her more often for all these routine checks. But I haven't seen my friends for 7 months. I think it's time for another zoom gathering. I was talking with someone yesterday about this pandemic and how people either have lost weight or gained weight during it. The same event but we all reacted differently to it. Obviously I don't do well with stress. Enjoy the Beachbody.

@RetiredAndLovingIt How much longer before the farm is done and you can enjoy the fall weather that is coming. Are sunflowers a perennial plant? I love how that one just won’t give up and another flower is growing. A good metaphor for life, huh? ;)

@mswatson0777 I am sorry that this season in your life is so full of stress for you. It is so hard for so many people and we just have to find ways to take care of our physical and mental health the best we can. I hope you like BOD. I LOVE it!! I’m working on becoming a boxer right now.

Good morning! I woke up wide awake at 5 am but stayed in bed until 6. Now, I’m up and full of energy. Hello, ketones! So, I went to JC Penny the other day because now everything is over 60% and this girl can’t pass up that kind of sale. I bought a pair of size 12 relaxed fit Lee jeans to be used as inspiration. Hoping I would get into them in the next few months. I tried them on to see how far I had to go, and they fit!! They fit snuggly but are comfortable enough to wear. I think I’m still in shock. I haven't been in a size 12 in over 30 years!! :o I took this picture with them against the size 20 that I wore in 2018 when I began my final weight loss journey. Lots of ups and downs along the way but I just kept saying that I will NEVER stop trying. Can you tell that I’m excited!! ;)

Thank you everyone for your kind words. It felt good to word vomit it all out. Today work is insanely stressful. Managing 5 people means my day is entirely spent checking in and helping them which means I work all day but get nothing done. I did track my food for the first time in WEEKS so at least there's that. I also did a 30 minute workout and walked over lunch to shake off some of the stress (here's hoping it helps and the afternoon goes by quickly!). Otherwise tonight I'm looking forward to hopefully getting some homework done and a long dog walk in. Thank goodness the weather is still nice enough to get out, it's such a mood boost.

@trooworld Great question on connection. I do about 8 zoom meetings a day so any more video calls just feel like pure torture. I do a lot of phone calls, but it's definitely not the same. Sorry to hear you aren't sleeping well. I also do terribly when I don't sleep well so I totally get the weight loss struggle!

@TeresaW1020 OMG those pants!!! You are absolutely killing it, way to go! You're my inspiration right now to keep going! Let me know how you like 10 Rounds. Right now I'm bouncing in between programs because I'm enjoying the different trainer every day. Today Shaun T KICKED MY BUTT! Holy buckets my arms are burning.

@theslightedgeforever I'm glad there's some positives to the pandemic, those appointments do sound extremely stressful! And I have been trying to do what I can, but I recognize that its just not enough and I feel like I'm on a spiral. This is just one of those very hard seasons.

Morning all, I didn't get on the TM today. I overslept. I was SO tired last night, I didn't even hear the baby cry..all I know is I woke up and she was next to me in bed. I have NEVER been that tired. So each day I try to evaluate what took my goals from me and do better the next day. I figured out I am just plain frustrated. But I don't feel bad as not getting on the TM today as I know my body was exhausted and I am trying to listen to it and not my head.

@trooworld I am sorry you are not sleeping..if you know someone who uses YL oils I would suggest a couple for sleeping.. LOL. It sounds like you have a positive attitude about your new food choices! Yea

@TeresaW1020 Congratulations! Always nice to be surprised! I am proud of you

@theslightedgeforever yes I am forming new habits...I am just impatient. LOL. working on that too..LOL

@mswatson0777 oh my you post sounded like I feel. I thought I had posted and forgot that I posted. LOL. I am sorry you so stressed. I think someone earlier said (1) thing at a time..we can take bites out of our crazy life. LOL

@trooworld I’m sorry that you aren’t sleeping well. One of the podcasts I listen to has this woman that goes on and on about Blue light technology. Look up Bluebox glasses. They have one especially for helping people sleep. I also spoke to a woman last night at Bible study who used to take shots on a regular basis for severe back issues and she started using CBD oil and hasn’t had a shot in 18 months. She has been transformed. Have you looked into that to see if it would help your arthritis? I’m just full of medical advice for you! :D

@mswatson0777 Thanks, I’ve never been an inspiration before. I haven’t done any Shaun T videos yet. I’m a huge Autumn Calabrese fan. She does the 21 Day Fix and 80 Day Obsession programs. When I’m done with 10 Rounds, which is super fun, I’m going to do to 80 Day again and see how much I’ve progressed after working out for a year now with BOD. The first go around I think I lasted 30 days and had to modify everything. I hope your day is better and that you find some time to relax. ;)

@cbabie Your body was definitely telling you to rest and good for you for listening to it. <3

@theslightedgeforever Yikes on the crashing computer!! :#

Good morning! So, this morning I stepped on my scale three times and the number was 198.8 lbs all three times. Onderland baby!!! I’m so happy and VERY determined to stick to my plan. I know how easy the scale can jump back up. I think for me it’s obvious that I have to watch my carb intake. That is the only thing I’ve changed this month. So, fasting clean and carb cycling for the win!

Here is a pic that I took this morning. Sorry that my toes look so frightful. Guess I should have been more prepared for this momentous occasion. :D

@cbabie I'm so sorry your stress level mirrors my own! Exhaustion is no joke, I hope you're able to find some time for self care and rest today

@theslightedgeforever Sorry to hear about your computer. Technology issues are the worst! Way to go on getting intentional movement in

@TeresaW1020 OMG congratulations!!! That is such a huge milestone!! And Shaun T is no joke, the fitness people in the workout video were quitting at times, which made me feel better when I had to pause the video because my heart rate got so high! I've only done one video of Autumn's so far so I'll have to try some more!

Happy Wednesday all! So today is the day of my dissertation proposal defense (eek!). I also had my new employee start today so juggling the two along with my other employees' schedules has been a major challenge. I was able to get some coursework done last night and to catch up on work emails this morning so I'm definitely feeling better than I was on Monday. I'll hopefully get more coursework done tonight and take the dogs out on a long walk since the more I get done, the less stressed I'm feeling. Hope you all have a good day!

Afternoon all. I am sitting here with my eyes burning, need to take a nap. LOL. not sure why I feel like naps right this moment, but my eyes are tired. I actually didn't get to walk this morning. I had to get groceries before my 9:30 online Bible Study. The first one for this year. I am excited to be back with the group.
So afterwards, took the baby for a walk and it was nice. Came back home but she wanted more, so who am I to stop her from making me exercise.. LOL. I enjoy the days I don't work...Well I am enjoying today. I am learning that my expectations are too high and rigid and I need to let go and keep going forward. I had a Mary Kay meeting last night and it was a confirmation that I am heading in the direction I am supposed to be in my attitude, growing personally, etc. I am even looking at how I "perceive" my body in a different mindset.

@trooworld That stinks about your computer..I would be totally frustrated.. LOL

@TeresaW1020 Oh how awesome...I am so happy for you and you know what you are the one looking at your feet, we are looking at that wonderland number!!! Jumping up and down running the isles...saying yea...we are so happy you shared this moment with us!! I think you have found your groove.

@mswatson0777 I am so glad you are in a better place today. It's amazing if we can at least make one dent in our piles how much better we feel and not so overwhelmed. I think that is such a torment from the enemy to send us over the edge and not return. LOL I can see the old Batman and Robin cartoon in my head. POW, BLAM...LOL
