    So we too were away on a mini vacation...HOWEVER ours was in the Smokey Mountain National Park etc where we had lots of walking time...

    Tuesday August 23rd...........3.5 Walking Miles
    Wednesday August 24th.......4.0 Walking Miles
    Thursday August 25th..........3.5 Walking Miles
    Friday August 26th...............3.5 Walking Miles (more IF I get too push mow lawn today & IF SO I will log)

    Im back after having hip replacement surgery 3 months ago. My goal will be to ride my stationary recumbent bike 100 miles in the month of August.

    8/1: 5.1 miles/ 25 minutes
    8/2: 5.1 miles/25 minutes
    8/3: 5.6 miles/ 27 minutes
    8/4: 6.2 miles/30 minutes
    8/5: 6.3 miles/30 minutes
    8/6: 6.1 miles/30 minutes
    8/7: 6.1 miles/30 minutes
    8/8: 7.3 miles/35 minutes
    8/9: 7.3 miles/35 minutes
    8/10: 8.0 miles/37 minutes
    8/11: 8.0 miles/37 minutes
    8/12: 7.0 miles/35 minutes
    8/13: 7.2 miles/35 minutes
    8/14: 8.1 miles/40 minutes
    8/15: 8.2 miles/40 minutes

    8/16: took day off. I've reached my goal 100.6 miles. I'm going to increase the intensity and work my way back up minutes wise. I need to do this so I don't suffer in bad pain.

    8/19: 5.5 miles/24 minutes

    Aug 13 - 408 km cycling (1485 min) ... no, that's not a typo. :grin: My husband and I rode a 400 km randonnee starting at 7 am on Saturday 13 August and finishing 24 hours and 45 minutes later. I have the story almost ready to post to my blog, but essentially ...

    We've been training for this for the past two months and chose this particular one because it fit in our schedules and was relatively flat. We started strongly, but at the 200 km point, I broke a tooth (the tooth was in questionable condition to begin with) which made the remaining 200 km a little more challenging than I had hoped. Breathing through my mouth was painful, so I was reduced to breathing through my nose. And eating was painful, so I ran rather low on energy. I was hoping to finish within 24 hours, but I guess an extra 45 minutes wasn't too bad. :)
    We rolled into the start location at 7:45 am on Sunday.

    Aug 15 - 0.5 km walking (7 min) ... airport.
    Aug 16 - 3 km walking (35 min) ... to the beach and back to stretch things out.

    25 Aug - ? Can't for life of me remember!
    26 Aug - a small swimette - forgot my goggles. I had to cycle to the pool twice (forgot bike lock first time..) That kind of day!
    27 Aug - 35 miles or so on the bike, thru London towards Slough
    28 Aug - 30 or so miles on the bike - on towards Reading

    A couple of days biking - my friend and I plan to cycle between our homes in London and Bristol using canal towpaths or riverside wherever possible. Very very beautiful (even if I have decided to check my cycling set up/buy new seat and cycle shorts. ouch.)

    Lots of Stand Up Paddling going on...looks rather peaceful.

    Had too purchase a new Pedometer. Several times I KNEW mine was not working correctly & especially on our vacations where i have been known past few years too get in as much as 8-10 Miles in a day. Several times past couple of weeks I walked the same route up the top of the mountain that I've done for years. That route gives me 2.25 Walking miles so since I knew that I quit wearing the pedometer for awhile as it was giving me only .98 or a bit over a mile...just stupid readings... SO I could have been reaching my goal all the time and not knowing that as I dont know the mileage in the State parks. Just here where we live. SOOOOOOOOOO here goes new pedometer...
