Hello, all. I posted a question to the group discussion page: Running in the UK While on Vacation. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Gave a reply, based on my memory.....LOL, I guess it might be helpful....

Thank you! Anything's helpful. I did some googling, but it's always nice to have the opinion/research of others.

In for 75...fingers crossed! Going to start with HM group training, but run on a M-Th-F-Sat schedule to try to make sure my hip pain doesn't return. Still occasionally feels tight, but never sore or painful.

8/1 - Intended to run 4, but oversleeping and a thunderstorm kept it from happening :-(

@Orphia - no expert, but I would do about 11 miles one week before and back off one mile for each Sunday before that as your long run. That assumes it fits into your schedule as not too high a % of your miles.
@AdrianChr92 - great pic with the new kicks!

My 1st mile was faster than yesterday's...last part of run I took it easy....good run over all.

    Good start to August!
I'll probably get at least 50 miles done this month.

I probably should look into buying better sneakers sooner than later too.

Ugh... I just looked and there are no pace groups at/near my goal pace range for my September HM....

On a happier note it looks like I'll have good waether for my runs this week!

Still in training for first 1/2 marathon. The plan calls for me to run 75 miles this month which will be more than I've ever run in a month! Smart move training like this in summer, haha.

Hmm...Not sure where to set the bar this month. I eked out 10.5 miles last month, but only started running part way through the month.

I think I will go for 40 miles--approximately 10 miles per week and see how it all works out. I can't wait to get back to my 100+ mile months...

Good luck! After 8 weeks off for injury recovery in Nov/Dec I started back in Jan/Feb with around 40-45 miles a month.

    2/8/16 run 6.6 km

    Target: 6.6/70 km

I was slower than usual. Running performance is better before lifting for me but long run impacts my lifting. Still glad that I did it. :)

Starting in the morning! I am going for a goal of 3 miles a day, stretch goal of 5 miles. I've been making 2 miles, so I should be able to do this.

@roselover58 To answer your question in the "Where Are You From?" thread, yes, it is OK to walk, as stated in my original post on page 1 of this thread. Good luck!
