Now I'm looking online for gift ideas for a last minute addition to our Christmas day. He's got nowhere to go so might as well come here and he needs a gift under the tree from Santa of course, but what do you get someone you don't know well

    What is his age?

Like mid to late 30s I'd guess

Hmm that's hard. A safe bet would be like an Amazon gift card but not to fun to unwrap. I hate buying gift cards for people because I know I can find an actual gift cheaper but this is hard not knowing anything about him.

That's what we were thinking but un creative. I might go look for a book because unwrapping books are fun because you can flip through them. Hubs suggested a cozy blanket, we like blankets. He likes wine but that's a bit boring too. Oh wait I have an extra mug I got in a bogo maybe I'll give him that. Everyone needs a gift from Santa.

He's lucky to have you for the holidays. You're so kind and generous.

Awww you guys. I learned from my Nana whose policy was no one is forgotten on Christmas. You could show up with some random person and she'd run upstairs to the dresser of gifts and wrap something up so as we all opened things this random person would be completely shocked as they got their gift handed to them. At those times it's way more fun to give than to receive

I've always been really awkward receiving gifts. Way more fun to give for me.

Same I hate being given stuff

I mean if you're giving me something I'll take it but I'm gonna be all awkward and stupid about it

I learned a long time ago to be gracious and simply say:

"Wow, thank you; that's fantastic. you're very generous!"

That's it. Drop it and quickly change the subject no matter what it is.

I just love gifts so I am happy getting as well as giving haha

So I'm going to get him some nice tea to go with this neat mug. Everyone can use an extra mug and his health isn't always great so he I'm sure would appreciate some nice tea.

Do you have any ideas of what you're getting them? You should be able to get them some nice stuff for that amount.

Well getting toys around this time is pretty expensive to get something "cool" and memorable for my nephew .. as far as mom goes I was thinking some smelly-goods stuff not that she really needs it because I steal her stuff sometimes and a face moisturizer and a robe I promised her last year.. D is the only person I know for sure what Im getting and its a heated back massager thing for his office chair

Hes the hardest to shop for because he has all the money to get whatever he wants on a whim so I feel really happy knowing I thought of something he doesnt have but will appreciate

how old is your nephew? There's lots of little things you can get. If you were closer I'd send you Lego. We get tons of Lego given and the boy never plays with it
