If women weren't visual then I wouldn't have heard the wanton moans of middle aged women when they saw some hot shirtless guy in "Bad Moms."

Well I can tell you porn can be extremely destructive. My ex husband had an addiction to it. It sickens the soul.

You ever think you just weren't sexually compatible and you both were unsatisfied?

    No.

Sounds like a match made in heaven

You know nothing about me or my situation, so I'm not going to react defensively to your assumptions.

Sorry - I reread it and it was a bit much. Apologies. My point is above. I just don't get why porn is such a big deal or why bad mouthing exes is too.

No worries- we don't know each other here. Porn at an early age can lead to more porn, and more "graphic" porn. This can lead to a messed up perception of women and sex to a young boy. He continues to engage in it throughout his life and eventually it leads to "acting out". It can lead to dangerous situations with hookers, etc. As a spouse you try to be loving and see it as an "addiction" and go to SA and counseling, but after years of being a cool, loving, awesome wife you just get tired of being repeatedly cheated on because he can't control himself. Then you eventually get angry and begin to hate him for it. So it was a big deal in my life.

We'll have to agree to disagree on porn

There's nothing to agree or disagree with. I am sharing my personal experience. I didn't say it has this effect on everyone.

I sometimes like sex scenes in movies better than porn. Probably just because they are better actors, better writers, better film, etc. My husband says the same. So, if porn is either well done amateur (and good) I will like it (if it's something I like), or if it's as good as a movie. I think we can at least all agree there is bad porn out there. So that's why some people are hesitant to just blanket say they like it. But, what seems like bad porn to me, will certainly be liked by someone else. And vice versa. I also see live shows that I like, and some that I don't or feel neutral (it's ok, but I don't love it). We all have different preferences. I know sometimes people take one person's preference as thinking their preference is better than others. But, of course they think it's better...that's why they like and choose it. It's not a judgment on others. Just their preference.

It's also understandable that different people will have different preferences for how much porn is a part of their life. I would certainly find it problematic if my husband chose porn over me or just wanted to watch porn and not have actually involved and fun sex. Because that's boring. So yeah, that would be a mismatch. I like interactive sexual experiences.

But, I do remember one time in college I was sleeping with a guy. I went to his room. He said a friend sent him porn as a joke and he was watching it. Asked if I wanted to watch it. So, we did. At first we were making fun of things. Then we had sex like the porn. And some things didn't work out like the porn and we laughed.

We disagree on everything but that you had a troubled marriage, particularly that porn leads to hookers etc. as if the root cause of the "issue" (that horrible, not so uniquely male drive for lots of sex) is porn. I'm fortunate to be with someone who loves lots of sex. Some people like a little, some people are asexual, some people feel like it's a duty or a chore. Others, go various directions. Just because someone isn't compatible with someone else doesn't mean there's something wrong with either of them.

Like I said, agree to disagree because it's not worth hurting your feelings or me getting in trouble on here. Different worldview and what not.

Do you feel the need to live up to porn movie type sex when dating?

Like- the acting or the boning?

Boning, for girls especially. A lot of times there's like zero foreplay.

I thought porn was the foreplay?
this is a serious woman right here! this quote got me all hyped up! hahaha

Haha. A total myth perpetuated by ugly guys. News flash: A lot of women watch porn and like looking at hot naked men (and/or women)

    Absolutely not.

Porn has set unrealistic expectations about expecting a plumber to turn up on time for an appointment.

Haha, this is true. That and that you can pay the pizza boy by having sex with him - that's totally okay and he definitely wouldn't get fired for that.

But in all honesty, I do think that if you get a person who's relatively inexperienced or unsatisfied with their sex life, porn could definitely lead them into thinking that the way it's portrayed is how it's meant to be.

Most guys cannot last 45+ minutes at a time and the girl will not make those shrieking noises every time you put even an inch of your dick in her and she probably won't come just by you ramming her into the couch, and there's this thing called lube that is often necessary for sex to occur, not to mention a plethora of other things that porn portrays as real.

There was a comment above about how porn was meant to be a fantasy and a lot of people don't understand that so it definitely skews their expectations.

Oh, and most guys or girls will NOT allow you to put it in their *kitten* and then blow you afterwards. That is just so, so gross.

I agree with the last point. And in real life women don't let you go from the back door to the front door either. I think porn actresses must get a lot of UTI's....

I heard a comedian say at a gig that their will be no babies in the future because all the new generation thinks they have to cum in their girlfriends face every night because of watching porn .

Only for people who don't know that what they see on a screen isn't reality. Remember when millions of people died in that kung fu epidemic when Bruce Lee was making movies?

I'm gearing up for college football and reading forums (I'm a Texas A&M Aggie) so all the rivalries posts have some rubber appendages plastered all over the smack talk (campus concealed carry protests at UTexas) ...so I've seen enough of those for the day.

The only thing I suspect is that porn is why a friend of mine is still single. His expectations are so high that he can't even find a girl to porn with. Women don't have time for that shiz. Unless they get paid I guess lol
