Yet... every single one of you in this thread are judging him for having a thought in his own mind! He didn't say it out loud to them. He didn't admonish their eating habits. He came here and just voiced it out loud, and not even in a judge mental tone. Just... Wow

I think we are reading different threads. There's plenty of non-judgmental posts. I think you are reading tone where there is none.

He actually did admonish their eating habits...and everyone else's who don't eat "healthy". He's just not saying it out loud. I don't really think it's all that better to judge internally. You're still being judgmental.

My colleagues will eat fried chicken followed by blue bell ice cream, sit down all day and feast on a poboy with fried shrimp and fries. I watch them wash it down with fruit drink or a big coke, followed by more drink throughout the day. I wonder how they are feeling, are they getting heavier? If I would do that just one day I would feel it immediately. I'm patiently waiting for my health conscience eating, drinking descions to show up. My most obvious indication is my clothing. When my clothing stops feeling like its soffucating I know I'm doing good.
But I can't eat what's out there. It's not good for me and most of the general public. I'd rather cook what I want or ask for a lighter version.

I always wonder this. I would love to be able to be one of the people who can even shamelessly eat a cheat meal. I felt guilty for having a piece of cake on my birthday and insisted that I "felt it" right away. I NEVER eat fast food anymore because I feel instantly greasy and overloaded with unneccessary crap.

I think you have brainwashed yourself to believe all fast food and treats are bad.
Not all fast food is greasy

No, I know that. I just personally feel better when I eat homemade food that I know exactly how much butter/oil was used in, etc. Not saying it's all terrible. Was just giving a personal opinion.

Liberal phrases like "you do you" and sentences to never judge in any situation will only lead one comfortably into unhealthy behavior. Judging eating fried, fatty foods is bad will help create better habits. Not being content letting someone doing whatever they wish will bring them understanding what they are doing is harmful. I applaud this post, yet detest the people too close-minded to bring any positivity to others' lives.

    You're 19. How's that for judgement?

    There is no bad food.
    There are bad portions.

I judged OP. Anyone wants to talk to me about me "bad food" can do it, but don't expect me to take it lying down.

So we should rip fried chicken out of strangers' hands? I am confused by this post.

Oh, I figured we were supposed to burn all the KFC's to the ground.

    Oh this is so funny.

I actually work in a medical centre that was previously a KFC and Colonel sanders head silhouette is still in the original window.
    Yes,true story. B)

    Will post photo later.

Great comments! I love a good sandwich. Tuna, turkey, even tofu with avocado and hot sauce with a bag of chips! And I just happen to love water. That's usually my meal at lunch. But observing their meals as they arrive sure does smell and look good. I never push my food enlightenment on others, that's rude. Sure every now and then I'll get a meal, but now I'll try to balance it out with some physical activity. The great thing nowadays is technology! My phone, devices and apps will help me target my daily goals. Again love all the feedback!

Ehh, don't worry about it... I only get the shiets if someone is constantly asking me for advice and then also constantly eating way too much/not looking at macros/eating too little etc.. that annoys me far more than what they eat. The lady next to me is eating pizza right now.. yum

Judging is natural and everybody does it

It isn't acceptable to do it out loud though, unless you're religious of course...then you go ahead, it seems

I will judge when I'm old though, I practice in my head now for all the outrageous things I'm going to say and not a give a damn

(Jokin...but some days I do wear my judgey pants specially so I c'n hoik em up)

    Yep. It's is natural.

Sorry bud, you have to be judgemental in a subtle, passive aggressive way around these parts.

Ooooh yeah lol - tread very gently and do not make any outlandish claims lol. There is a little bit of me that wants to write a thread "I'm going to start detoxing to avoid all the bad unhealthy foods" and watch people lose their minds - I'd be chased with pitchforks I think...

I once posted a thread asking people if they found the less processed flavours they ate the less they enjoyed. .. but I used the term "clean eating" in there. Oops haha everyone went fricking crazy even after I clarified about 20 times. Certain buzz words do NOT go down well haha

lol yep but it's okay to make condescending/mocking/"funny" threads associated with those unwanted "Buzzwords" and they go down very very well.

Terminology is important to alot of people on here. You'll learn--with time. Also those threads you speak of are chock full of usefull information. "Mocking" is used alot by the same people that say they don't like it--go figure.

So are gifs and cartoons that they post - very useful I find ;) It is tough, got to be very careful what you write

and not to mention - a thread calling out for help on making healthy choices doesn't deserve advice but berating a thread created to mock the same group of believers is chock full of useful information.

    Yeah, makes sense.

Yes, shaming people for their food choices is a great idea. The next time I see someone in Publix with Doritos and ice cream in their shopping cart I'm going to boo and hiss and tell them the terrible things they're doing to their bodies with that poison.

Oh wait. I always have Doritos and ice cream in my shopping cart. Trying to feel guilty.....

Nah. I've lost thirty pounds and am greatly improving my fitness as I go along, Doritos and ice cream and all. I'm good. Judge away.

How dare he have an opinion..I mean does he not know he cant eat certain foods and find a way of making living a healthy life. We must make him eat KFC! ;)

I don't care what he eats.

He was talking about shaming others for eating his opinion of unhealthy foods, which is where I take issue.

No he didn't - he said he likes to view certain foods as 'bad' in order for him to live a healthier life. I'm quite certain he is allowed to view foods as he wishes and if that is what helps him then great. He is not saying 'I give daggers to people eating a bigmac' - he is just saying he views food a certain way which helps him

    Orly?

Because this is what I read:
Judging eating fried, fatty foods is bad will help create better habits. Not being content letting someone doing whatever they wish will bring them understanding what they are doing is harmful.
