I eat around 1700 calories per day. However, I do not eat more to make up the calories I burn when I exercise and that is because my trainer told me not to.
Ah right that's good hun, is it best to do cardio to get rid of fat or weights? Xx0 -
Around 3000-3200 (slow bulking). Gotta fuel this machine of mine3

Ok, I asked before giving any other answer because I was concerned that you may have an eating disorder and need extra help. I would definitely up your calories. 1200 is the absolute minimum for women, eating 800 (and netting far lower) is going to make you sick if you continue...are you not already tired and grouchy?0 -

You probably could if you choose calorie-dense foods that were less filling. A few drinks, high calorie sauces/dressings, many desserts . . . it really isn't that much food if you're choosing certain things.0 -
Well, from what you've said, it sounds like you're actually eating more than 800, so that's a relief.
Saying that, if you want to succeed, you need to be accurate with what you're logging. Are you measuring any of this? Are you verifying that the data base entries you choose are correct? If you're not doing that, you really have no idea how many calories you're eating.
Additionally, you should be eating no less than 1200, and even that is likely too low given how active you are. Don't be in such a rush to lose weight. Think of the time it takes to come off as training for learning how to keep the weight off.3 -

1800-1900, dropping ~1 lb per week right now
800 calories a day sounds like hell on earth1 -
To answer the question, I am 5'2 and I eat anywhere between 1200 and 2000 depending on activity and mood...but I've decided I can take all the time in the world to lose the second half of the weight3

1800-ish net to lose a pound and a half a week. Usually about 2100-2200 total.1

Ideally both, weights are important to maintain lean bodymass, cardio is to improve cardiovascular health and increase your TDEE so you can eat more food while you lose weight.2 -
I eat about 1700-1800 that's with my 10,000 steps and 30 minute workout.1

Yeah I don't weigh anything just estimate lol, I tend to eat foods that I can scan to tell me the calories lol0 -
I would probably start you at 1500 but at the same time, get you to use a food scale for accuracy.
The idea of weight loss isn't to starve yourself but rather find a balance of eating enough that allows you to lose, but enough to fuel workouts and body functions.2 -
2300 + I add extra for my 13+ mile runs.
Training for a marathon.1 -
I aim to net about 1650 calories per day to lose 1.2 pounds a week. Most of the time that means I'm actually eating 2400 calories. I'd say I maintain at about 3100.1

I have an orezi scale. It was like $15. It's actually not a lot. It's a fairly common calorie intake.0 -

I'm on a tight budget lol1 -
I'm 44, 147lbs (10.5 stone i think..) and i eat between 1500-2000 calories a day depending on how much i exercise. There is zero reason for you to only consume 800 calories a day to lose weight, that's just putting yourself through unnecessary suffering.1

I'm 36, 5'7" 145lbs. I maintain on about 1900 per day. When I was losing I was eating about 1600 per day.0
