Oops. I was supposed to go out and warm up hubby's car this a.m. but was so engrossed in something stupid on the internet that I didn't remember until he got his boots on. I beat him by 15 seconds. Bad wifey.

Last December I moved... same town, but from a rural setting to right in town. I went from having 5 acres of land to have 3/4 of an acre. From having neighbors that I could see but not hear, to having neighbors that I can never NOT hear.

One of the subtle side effects of this is that the lack of quiet stillness around me makes it difficult to be quiet and still with myself. To reflect and just sit with myself. Good side of the coin is that sitting quietly with myself is usually uncomfortable. The bad side of the coin is that NOT taking that time means I've lost connection with myself.

The first step to fixing a problem is admitting there is one.

Find lots of quiet places to walk or sit or hike. :) That's what I do.

We live on a quiet street with enough neighbors to be annoying. When I first moved here, it took me by surprise just how much they questioned our activities or knew what we were doing, etc. I had 1 neighbor ask me if I took in people's laundry because I always had so much hanging outside. ???? She used to also comment a lot on how we were raising our children.

I'd LOVE to live in the middle of nowhere and live up to No One Else's expectations. 20 acres might be enough.

    I know this feeling...
    No.
    Bueno.

(at least for me, in my case)

Dealing with chronic stabby pain in my right knee and left ankle. It's so irritating.

Thankfully it doesn't hurt (at all) during squats or deads... But I get out of the car and stand - knee buckles. Going up stairs... Stabby. Going down stairs... Stabby. Walking in snow... Stabby. Squat 190lbs...nothing.

It's like... If the angle is less than 30degrees when pushing... It hates me.

I compensate the knee by hitting the left ankle. (which was bad on its own).

I want to trade this body in, please and thank you.

So.. MFP forums are no longer supported on operating systems older than 8.0 if I'm not mistaken. That would explain why I can't see any threads when I enter a chat room. And yet, here I am, on a 6.0 operating system weaseling my way in. Take that, MFP 😂. I refuse to upgrade my phone.

    😂 go you

I’m coming up on 10yrs of living alone.
I feel lonely a lot but I’ve come to realize that it’s not from living alone.
    I just need a “friend”.

I don’t think I could ever live with anyone again.

I can do whatever I want.
I can burp, fart, laugh ridiculously loud while watching a funny,
have the temp in the house whatever I want,
watch what I want on tv,
turn the stereo up listening to what I want,
    eat when I want,
    clean when I want,
    do everything on my schedule.
    It is awesome!

Now, I just need to find that “friend”.
    😉

    There's always "BOB".

Or not that kind of "friend"? 😁

Trying to come up with ideas for Christmas for people we don't see very often. :( Three kids, ages hmmm, maybe 11, 13, and 18. Maybe a family gift basket? Games, puzzle, foods,???? DH says just give them each an amazon gift card for 25 bucks. What to do what to do.......

Didn't have this challenge last year. :)

    Kids always like gift cards,
I always love to get a gift basket of different kinds of yummies.
Fruit, cookies, or a basket of household necessities.
    It really is the thought…….😊🌻

I didn't think all that much of these things when I bought them, but people keep taking notice of them. When did brown suede loafers become such a hot thing 🤔

I guess when you started wearing them?
