    Oh, boy... just moved into a new FL apt last Fri & a 6-7' long, 4" round black snake was headed towards my open back door. Fortunately, the cable guy chased him away. I know that FL doesn't have the most poisonous snakes, but it has the most snakes I've ever seen.

    Good luck with your reptile... hope the wrangler gets there sooner rather than later.

    Im not afraid and have dispatched a few but this is a biiiig brown snake, biggest I've seen. Totally lethal and very aggressive.... best not to play with it. It is roaming around the chook sheds looking to eat some chicks. Thing is my dad walks down there too, and I've not been able to get the damn thing yet so figured I'd let the local snake catcher rattle around down there lifting stuff to see if he can find it.

    Amazing athletes. Look back to vids on the female Russian gymnasts, around the time of Olga Korbut... it's astounding that they don't have broken bones on the regular. Some bodies are far superior to others.

    I heard they have lower bone density and more muscle ratio, allowing their bodies to compensate for it, giving way to that awesome display of inhuman feats @ rhythmic gymnastics, Shen dancers and some martial artists.
