My meds just aren't doing it for me rn 🥺
If nothing else it should help you take a nap ?? And when I’m feeling all anxious and what not - all I want to do is nap - this prolly doesn’t help if you’re working
I am at work. Maybe I'll wait til I get home. Worse case scenario...I go to sleep at 6302 -

I’d say that’s not a bad worse case if you ask me - I hope to be out no later than 8 lol1 -
There are things I don’t talk about because they involve people who don’t want to be talked about1

I hope I have enough food and booze for the party tomorrow. My biggest hosting fear is running out...I never do but there's always first3

There’s more recent data that backs it up but this is pretty easy to read. It makes me sad that people think they have an insurance policy against loneliness and it crumbles like that.0 -

You really just never know with ppl man - it’s just easier to trust no one - expect the worst hope for the best kinda thing - idk man - I hate being the cynical old man I’m becoming - I’d like to go back to my naive younger years - ignorance really is bliss

I'm not sure the guy who repaired our furnace knew what he was doing because it seems to not be working again1

The furnace eventually worked
We had our party. It was long. Some friends didn't seem to want to leave
We have generous friends. We were gifted a $100 bottle or wine, a $100 bottle of champagne, a $50 bottle from an Instagram friend I had never met!!! I guess people are happy to be invited to parties
A friend was drunk and staggering out of the bathroom and we were able to make the littlest kid happy with Christmas ornaments and paints...my tree will be well decorated this year 😂5 -
Ok Americans.... favourite Thanksgiving recipes or traditions please?
I offered to host our neighbour who is here working at the US consulate (his wife is away visiting her mom so he's solo) and another American friend is excited to come since his wife is Canadian and they don't do two Thanksgivings. Then there's our other friends who we invite to all special meals. So I kinda want to do traditional American dishes although I'll add come Canadiana with butter tarts.0 -

I prefer ham to turkey - green bean casserole we always have - and I prefer cherry pie to pumpkin- and we also always make banana pudding Paula dean style - good luck

All this plus homemade cranberry sauce using orange juice instead of water.

My family never had mac and cheese for Thanksgiving!
Maybe I would have been happier to be there.
But, yeah, green bean casserole, yams, mashed potatoes, sometimes this creamed spinach/corn souffle/baby carrots concoction, pumpkin snd lemon meringue pies...1 -

I’m southern and mac n cheese comes to every occasion. 😅
Side note: I don’t like green bean casserole but it’s probably bc of the onion bits.0 -

I wasn't big on the mushroom part. It was always the texture but sometimes the green beans were the only time I liked vegetables. I feel like we can't really consider that other concoction actual vegetables.
Aaaaaaalso, I should probably stick to the chit chat area of the forums. My posts tend to get deleted or reported when I try to help in other areas.3 -
I got a small turkey today for my American Thanksgiving in Canada. The store only had small ones so I got a small ham too. We'll do stuffing, mashed potatoes, cauliflower in cheese sauce and I feel like I need to do a green bean casserole but I'll do it from scratch cause I refuse to use a tin of soup. I'm debating a small mac n cheese only because I've been wanting some for awhile now and I have a crap ton of macaroni but they would mean two cheesy dishes....can there ever be too much cheese?1

Lol I put cheese in my green bean casserole and also bacon - so short answer is no you can’t not have too much cheese or bacon ever
