I’m going to learn how to draw hands well in 2023. 20 minutes a day five days a week for the whole year or until I get bored

Did you draw that because the ring finger that's a little crooked? My finger! And you nailed it :)

And a coworker brought pastries. After lots of bread yesterday. And the dessert I actually didn't want to stay for at our Christmas dinner Friday night.
Yes! What an endearing little quirk!

    Not when it happened! :)

What I still need to make for Christmas. Need lemon squares for my mom and a friend. What to do with the leftover egg whites...guess we're getting meringues

Seriously. Has your electric company ever warned you that you will probably lose power tomorrow?

Our hydro has been saying expect to lose power this weekend. This storm is no joke apparently

Wow! I guess it’s nice to be forewarned but I had never heard of that before

Unpacked my boys’ stockings. I hand made each one of those. Two are knitted and one is crocheted.

I’m about to drive home from the grocery store and the wind has finally picked up and the snow is finally blowing and it’s the kind of weather that makes me wish I was a scarf person anyway once more into the breach

I'm only a scarf person on days like this so I can relate. Be safe driving. I hope you're home and warm inside soon ☃️

Made it! It looks super natural out there

Locked up the chickens, put some cat food out for cold feral things, and I’ll put out some birdseed in a little while

Also filled some buckets in case we need them for flushing, filled the dish pan with water and a splash of bleach, and the kerosene heater is ready to go

If you're in Canada it's off cause it's boxing day and for many the 27th is the day for Christmas.

    Me: It's a day off.
Boss: I haven't said one way or the other.

He's on the phone so now I have to wait until he's off. I should have just left without saying goodbye.

I don't like the boss. If you have to work on Monday will you at least get double time or time and a half?

All is good. We're off. I should probably email the rest of the staff. :)

He's actually pretty cool. He was just in the middle of a phone conference at the time and it's hard for me to keep things brief, say goodbye and then text him later about Monday.

Plus we all work from home if we need to.

Still in the middle of a wind storm. It’s very cold. Christmas is tomorrow. After Christmas and especially after New Year I always begin to feel a little better. Somewhere in the middle of January the sky sometimes breaks its solid gray & shows bright blue promises. February is a dreary month. They made it a short month because no one could tolerate another two days of that. But anyway my point is that spring is coming. The seed catalogs will be here any day now.

It's cold and windy here in Toronto and of course I woke up to the furnace needing resetting. It had been good for a couple of days but I'm not surprised it wanted a break since we've been working it pretty hard
