Ninety days or something like that to make something into a habit, or so I’ve heard
21 days to make a habit.
But what about routine?
Like if I start something new, how long until I can say, "Hey I have this new routine."?
66 days. But I think the real answer is when you find yourself doing it consistently and have behaved that way for a considerable amount of time.0 -

Are you sure? I thought the answer was always 42? 😁1 -

Is the routine the the process of forming the habit for x amount of days?
If that's the case, then after you've done the routine to establish the habit, do you say, "Hey I have this new habit."?
ETA: This kinda got away from my original intent of the question, but I googled this.
https://www.differencebetween.com/difference-between-habit-and-vs-routine/
From that article it says that a routine is based upon habits of which can change as well. So if you start a new habit you are also changing your routine. So you really can't say you have a new routine at all as it can change, you can should say I have switched up my routine, I guess?0 -

I will admit 21 days is something I've heard over the years, it could be 66, it could be 1,000. But I really think it's up to the individual and how far against the norm it is for them and the motivations involved.
I wasn't really asking how long it takes for something to "stick", but more so how long until you've done something repeatedly that it's now something you can "claim" is your routine. Does that make sense?
Just something I was thinking about.0 -

Just something I was thinking about.
3 times.
Once is nothing.
Twice is a coincidence.
Three times is a pattern.2 -

It’s perplexing at times how people always attempt to understand someone else’s intent and/or understanding based on their own perspective of the situation. Especially when they don’t even know the person at all.2

Isn't that what we're suppose to do? Understand someone base on our own personal experience to get a better understanding of someone? Or am I going about this the wrong way?
We should judge based on past experiences, but not in its entirety. Experiences are facts but beliefs and/or opinions about them are not. It’s easy to stereotype, but does that make it right?!0 -

I don't know if it's right or not but my attitude towards it is like whatever. I do the same thing
You’re right about one thing, we definitely all do it. Sometimes without even realizing it. Like my brother always says, “opinions are like buttholes, we all have them.”1 -

I always assumed that a bear named "pooh" who doesn't wear pants is kinda a gigantic warning sign when it comes to "Who are you gonna walk behind in the 100 acre woods"1 -
