So what are yalls ideal weights? I'm between 5'2" and 5'3" and 20 years old. I started out around 160 and am now 118 but not sure what I should weigh. So just curious to see what others my height are shooting for!

I'm 5'3" and 142lbs.
I believe you are within a healthy range on the BMI scale. If your body composition isn't what you desire, then you should look into strength training.
Edited to Add: I guess my ideal weight would be in the 130s but I seriously care more about losing bodyfat percentage than scale weight.4 -
I'm a touch shorter than you - 5'1". My ideal weight has always been under 110 (usually 103-109-ish, thereabouts) but at my age I don't think I'll be trying to go down that far because I already see my face aging just from the loss I have now (50 lbs.). If it were a matter of health I'd go down to that weight anyway, I'm not THAT vain, but 120 should still be healthy for me so I am thinking 120-130 as my ideal and my "max."2

I've seen threads like this before, its fascinating how individual we are when it comes to deciding on our "ideal weight". I'm 48 years old, 5'3" and weigh 124 pounds and for me, this is ideal. Now I just need to tone and strengthen.4

The BMI chart puts our healthy weight between 105 lbs and 140 lbs. That is quite a range. Obviously both of those are on extreme ends of that. 105 being the lowest end of the healthy weight range and 140 being the highest in that range. Which to me means that venturing into either of those means heading toward an unhealthy weight. My own opinion is that 120 lbs-135 lbs is healthiest. I do not claim to be a medical doctor or any such expert. Of course. To me this seems like a good medium. Here is the chart with my progress. I mark it as I go. I am currently at 156. I am hoping to mark my next section off in the next day or two.

Everyone has different frames and age can also factor in - a weight that was right at 20 might look wrong at 50 e.g.
For me at 5ft 2 and 47yo (and with lots of muscle) 128lbs looks good on me. I have a medium frame.

I'm 5'2'' and my initial goal is 160, so that I'm no longer in the obese range for my height. Though ideally I'd like to be a size 12 again, I think it looked much nicer on me when I see old pictures, and I think that was closer to 130lbs and a "normal" BMI weight.1
-
I am 5ft even and currently 177 my goal is 125 but I would be happy to get down to a size 7 jeans and Medium shirt that's what I was comfortable at4
-
I'm 5ft currently 116 pounds and my goal weight is 110. I chose 110 because it was in the middle range of my height BMI range.2

I am 5'3" at 42 years old. I am currently at 154lbs wearing anywhere between a size 4 and 6. Ideally I would like to be 130lbs, but I am not stressing the # on the scale as I have a lot of muscle. I feel good about how I look...other than the belly fat....the damn belly fat #$%&!!6

I am 5'3" and 43 years old. In my early 20s, I weighed between 115-120 and my workouts consisted of all cardio. Now weight training is my focus and I find I look/feel my best at the 130-135 range. In other words, there are quite a few factors that go into your personal ideal weight.3

I'm 5'2" and my top - end goal is 150 (about 15# less than where I am now). I am muscular from lifting and have big boobs, so I'm not sure much lower than 140 is going to be realistic for me. I will see how I feel and look when I hit 150 and go from there. My goal is to be healthy, fit, and strong, not necessarily thin or a certain weight. As Nia Shanks says, focus on the weight on the barbell, not the weight on the scale.3
-
I'm 5'3 and currently weigh 124 pounds. I want to weigh somewhere between 115-120 pounds but less concerned about my weight and more focused upon looking lean!1
-
5'3 and I felt good at about 135, would like to be 125 BUT the real goal is to be lean so if I end up weighing more I'm not going to sweat it if I look good!2

I'm 5.2 and 40. My heightest was 152 and 2 years ago I got to 113. I always was around 115 in my younger years. 120 when I married 16 years ago. 113 was hard to maintain and I had to be obsessive to stay there. I ghinkn118-120 is my comfort zone. I'm back up to 126 and working to get back to 120 and hopefully be able to maintain it longer next time....1
-
I'm also 5'2" and 20 years old. I started at about 175 lbs and now maintain a BMI of 20 with a range of 108-114lbs and ideal weight of 110lbs. I think 118lbs is a fine place to maintain, but you'd still be in the healthy range if you choose to lose or gain a few more pounds. However, realize that the BMI range exists for a reason. You may be better off at the lower end, middle, or higher end.5

I am 5'0 and choose anywhere between 105-110 lbs. I feel it is a good weight to eat what I want but not be stick skinny. My lowest was about 102 lbs.0
-
I'm 5'2.5" and maintain between 123-126. I know I could lose more. My upper body and back are extremely lean but my thighs have some fat and I definitely have belly fat (combined with tons of loose skin from 4 babies). I could try to lose that but I don't care honestly! I still wear a size small in pretty much all brands of clothes, anywhere from a size 3/4 pants to size 6 depending on brand and I'm perfectly content with that.
I do a lot of strength training so I feel like that has impacted how my body looks moreso than my actual weight. That's something to keep in mind as well.1 -
I'm 5'2 I started at 188 pounds, and currently at 162 pounds. I'm trying to lose 12 more pounds, and focus more on strength training and toning.1
-
I'm 5'3" currently weigh about 145. I'd like to get down to between 115 and 130lbs.0
-
I'm 5'2 started at 148 now 125. Definitely slimmer and lost a dress size but my stubborn tummy and thighs just wont go lol. Goal is 115 but I feel with more excercise I won't need to go any lower but we will see.0
-
I'm very close to 5'0" and currently weigh around 106 lbs. My goal is to go down to 105 - 103 lbs and maintain at that weight. I'm not too active, but I am participating in a physical education class which involves some cardio during the week.0

It's a good medium for people with average (medium) frame. The reason there's a range of "healthy" is that not everyone has the same size frame. Some people are healthiest at the low end of the range. Some people are healthiest in the middle. Some people are healthiest at the high end of the range. (And sometimes, those people gain muscle and wind up perfectly healthy in the low end of the "overweight" range. But that's another issue entirely.)1 -
I'm 5'3 and just reached 115 I don't really think I should lose any more so I'm gonna focus on strength training.3
-
I m 5.2" n 40 years old. I weigh 140 pounds. I would like to loose 15 pounds n I m trying since last 3 months but not much success

Do you weigh your food? Do you log your drinks (except water, black tea, black coffee and diet soda)? The most probable solution is that you're consuming more calories than you think.0

Yep. I am aware. That is why I said , " To me this seems like a good medium. " I know I did not leave a 6" deep mass of fine print explaining all of the obvious varieties of body types, frames, muscle mass etc.... But most people seem to understand nonetheless.1 -
I'm between 5'2 and 5'3. Started at 150 about 3 years ago and have been maintains around 125. My goal now is to hit 115.

Or you include two tiny little words - instead of "is healthiest", you say "is healthiest for me".0 -

I am not required to add a mile of fine print for the intent to be understood by most people. Hence the words, "Which to ME means venturing into an unhealthy range." There is a healthy range, and that range may not be perceived the same by everyone. We all came in to give our take on the post. My comment stands. Also, Did you seriously come in here to try and split hairs on the way I worded my post? I suggest you find something else to do. The world does not have to tip-toe around worrying that some exceptional person will take offense because extreme, and tedious care was not exercised in pain painstakingly choosing each and every single word. If you don't like my comment, that's okay. If it does not apply to you that is okay too. I hope you don't let it keep you up at night. Now if you don't mind I am sure the original poster would like to keep her thread relevant. If you need to nit pick, take it outside.2
