Saturn's Death Star-like moon, Mimas, as captured by Cassini in October 2016. Herschel's central mountain peak is nearly as tall as Mount Everest.

This peculiar rock, photographed on Jan. 12 (Sol 1577) by NASA's Curiosity rover, appears to be a metal meteorite. When confirmed, this will be the rover's third meteorite find on the Red Planet. Click for the high resolution original. Credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech/MSSS

I think that plan would be to bring it back to earth to orbit around it.... what could go wrong?0 -

I should have been in the space program. Kick myself for not doing and being more.
Anyway, Pluto landing

The deep red coloring in Pluto’s southwestern hemisphere is likely caused by hydrocarbons called tholins, which form in Pluto’s atmosphere. After exposure to direct sunlight, its reddish ice turns to vapor and drifts toward the north pole, where it regains its icy form on the surface. This pattern of melting and freezing is probably why we’re seeing distinct latitudinal color bands.
The Nasa website has been crawling this last week or so. I would assume there is a lot of traffic with all this. Lots more pics and updates here!

Yeah, there is a lot of speculation of what causes the red, and I found that succinct explanation on another site.1 -
