Diet coke or pepsi?

I actually prefer diet root beer over Diet Pepsi and Diet Coke. Out of the first two choices though, Diet Coke wins. I used to love diet Diet Pepsi, but when they switched to sucralose, I couldn't drink it anymore. It was just nasty.0

Now that it's back to aspartame, would you switch back to Diet Pepsi (after the baby, of course)? I think it still tastes like old.0 -
Diet Mtn. Dew is my preference. And yes, I drink one almost every day and then have either diet Squirt or a diet cherry 7UP at night. I drink a ton of water, too, but I haven't had any bad side effects and certainly not weight gain from diet pop / soda.
Sometimes I think it's more about what people habitually correlate with drinking pop. If you by habit like to have chips or a candy bar or whatever with your diet soda then weight gain is possible because those extra calories add up. I'm not saying this is true for everyone. But from experience several people I know will have certain snacks with their daily (or more often) diet soda.
I completely agree. I also think that the correlation between obesity and diet soda consumption seen in epidemiological studies is due to a lot of people doing things exactly like this. Or ordering a diet soda and then feeling like they can go ahead and order an extra large french fry at the fast food place.
I tend to have a diet soda in the late afternoon as a tide-me-over when I want a little something-something, but I'm not really hungry. Other days, it might be a cup of herbal tea. Today it's a tea day. I'm drinking cinnamon-apple.3 -
Diet Coke. Cherry Coke Zero or Fresca is my favorite, but I can't stand Pepsi, diet or otherwise. Blegh.1

Likely not for a long time. The bad memory of taste is still way to fresh in my mind.0 -
Diet Dr. Pepper. Can't stand any other flavor of diet pop in existence.0

You did not lose weight from cutting out diet soda...you reduced your calories and created a deficit. Eliminating a 0 calorie product will not lead to weight loss unless other changes are made.
I am almost 100lbs down and drink Pepsi Max every single day. I also never blamed my obesity on food types/drinks. I simply ate too many calories.

None. It is all bad for you. End of story.2

Diet Mountain Dew. But sadly, each bottle actually has ten calories. Gah!0

Diet Anything-But-Pepsi. Pepsi is just so sweet to me I just can't.2

Coke zero, diet a&w root beer and diet MTN dew0

I used to love Diet Pepsi, then all of a sudden it started making me sick to my stomach with terrible gas pains. I hated coke, diet and regular. Gave up all soda for almost 6 years and didn't lose any weight because of it. I just recently started drinking it again and have found that I love Coke Zero cherry. I drink usually one a day and have lost 7 pounds this past month- all because I cut down on my calories.2

Coke Zero for me. But I only drink it mixed with something (Crown usually). Otherwise I drink water and have stopped with pop. I don't want the calories of the regular and I just haven't gotten used to the taste of any diet sweetener.0

Coke Zero for me.

I rarely drink diet soda but I suppose when I do and there are lots of options I tend to gravitate towards diet pepsi.0

But you know the sweeteners are going to kill you, right?

Diet Coke or Pepsi Max. Lately, more Pepsi Max because it's cheaper than Diet Coke.0

Diet Coke. I think Diet Pepsi has a terrible aftertaste.
Other acceptable answers are Coke Zero, Diet Cherry Dr. Pepper...and Mello Yello Zero, which is probably my favorite.0 -

Coke Zero for me but I'm not concerned over Pepsi vs Coke or diet vs zero. It's sweet, it's liquid and is next to no calories.
Tried ginger Coke yesterday, tasted like Pepsi to me.2 -
I didnt used to be able to stand diet drinks/colas, but ever since they made the no aspartame diet pepsi, I can drink it and enjoy it. No hangup on aspartame (lets not go there!) just dont like the taste. Its not the same as sugar pop by a long shot, but it is palatable, so i can sometimes drink something bubbly and not have all those calories. Of course I have always prefered pepsi to coke, and I find diet coke undrinkable. As a side note, my mom used to drink Diet Dr pepper when I was growing up just so us kids wouldnt drink her pop lol. it worked quite well as it was vile then and still is. >.<1
