Always can use friends for motivation. I'm about 3 months from turning 40. It's crunch time! If you're willing to give me the kick in the *kitten* I need sometimes, feel free to add me.

Hey , you can do it. :)

Good morning middle-agers, have a great week ahead.

    Two questions:

    1. Do any of you use Libra or the Happy online weight tracking scales? Thoughts? (What is the benefit beyond what MFP provides?)

    2. Tall guy here, 6'6", lost over 30 pounds. Playing around with the BMI and Navy weight calculators, and when I plug in a hypothetical weight loss of 40 or 50 pounds, it shows a 50% reduction in muscle, and a 50% loss in fat! Really?

If I'm working out 5-6 days a week, 8-15 hours per week, I lose 20 or 25 pounds of muscle?

I don't expect 100% fat loss, but I figured more of a 2/3 fat, 1/3 muscle. I don't expect to become a hard body, but I can't recall being under 44" waist even when hiking 10 weeks through Europe at 40 years old. Thoughts?

    6'6", large boned (8" wrist), mid 50s
    SW: 315
    CW: 287
    GW: 245?
    Formerly semi athletic

    Thank you!

Hi everyone. I'm back. Former 1000 day streak and member of the 100 pound club. I struggle with motivation and sticking to diets. So hoping being back will help.

The reason why I want to lose weight is not only for the health benefits and to help my liver condition, but because I've signed up to my first ever half marathon, feel free to add me on here any help and support is much appreciated
