Just seeing if anyone has done a liver flush where gallstones are emptied out, and if you recommend doing one?

Gallstones are emptied out of where, exactly?8
-
Gallstones are formed in the Gall Bladder, I've never heard of them in the liver.
Please see a doctor if you have gallstones to get proper treatment options.10 -
If you have gallstones and they are causing you issues you should see a doctor.6
-
Never done a liver flush. Never done a gallstone flush from the gall bladder either. The simplest preventive is to make sure you are drinking enough water.3
-
Have you been diagnosed with gallstones? If so, I'd follow the recommendations of your physician, and I'm almost certain he didn't recommend a "flush"6

Gallstones severely disrupt the performance of the liver, which has over 500 functions —which is why doing a flush is one of the most important things you can do.1

Please don't mess around with gallstones. Letting the symptoms go on untreated can cause excruciating pain and problems down the road (speaking from experience here). If you're having gallbladder attacks SEE YOUR DOCTOR.9 -
"A gallbladder cleanse — also called a gallbladder flush or a liver flush — is an alternative remedy for ridding the body of gallstones. However, no scientific evidence suggests that a gallbladder cleanse helps prevent or treat gallstones or any other disease."

500 functions? Busy little thing, isn't it?9 -

Awesome news: our livers are made to automatically flush toxins. So unless you have a chronic medical condition, or you're a heavy drinker, your liver will do its own flushing, so you don't have to waste your money on some ridiculous fad diet.
Edited because fat fingers and phones make typos.11 -

Had to go read what it was - wow that sound horrid! Why would anyone do that to themselves?5 -

I'd rather prepare for a colonoscopy.7 -

I really want to say because they are idiots, but there is so much woo involved with health and weight loss, that I'm not really sure that's fair.6 -
Oh dear God, no! Seriously, just no. Why the hell would anyone willingly put themselves through this?
If you're having gallbladder problems, see your doctor.3 -

What are these over 500 functions of the liver? I feel like my physiology text may have left some out. Which is strange because it's more than 4 inches thick.5 -
http://surgeonsblog.blogspot.com/2008/01/flush.html?m=1Let's start with a gentle statement of fact: OF ALL THE BOGUS, DISHONEST, DISINGENUOUS AND STUPID BULL**** THAT MASQUERADES AS ALTERNATIVE MEDICAL METHODOLOGY, "GALLBLADDER FLUSH" IS AT THE TOP OF THE LIST. THE PURVEYORS OF IT ARE, AT BEST, CREDULOUS; AT WORST, THEY ARE CHARLATANS AND (LITERAL) SNAKE-OIL SALESMEN WHO WILLFULLY DECEIVE AND STEAL FROM THE SICK AND THE VULNERABLE, AND ARE TO BE COUNTED AMONG THE SCUM OF THE EARTH.23

I agree - I had to do colonoscopy prep twice in one week and I'd rather do that again than that liver cleanse.2 -
Good no just no how does this to them self there's no point and good I be seek for a week1

Is this a cruel joke? I really hope no one listens to any of what the OP said. Gallstones are in your gallbladder if you are so unlucky to have them in the first place and your liver doesn't do over 500 things. Name 50 please or even 20?4

Liver flushes and juice cleanses. It's been another typical Friday on MFP.
Isn't it Saturday? Don't get me wrong. I'm thankful for this thread. It isn't often that so many people agree on something. This thread has at least been uniting in a way that a round of Kumbaya wouldn't have been.4 -
