Earned myself a good lower back strain two days ago by using poor lifting techniques when moving some heavy stuff around the house. I was hoping this would just be a minor irritation that’d go away quickly, but it’s not working out that way at all. At this point I don’t even know if I can just wait this one out or if I’ll end up in Physical Therapy. One way or the other--I'm definitely out of the planking biz for a while, which is a shame because I was actually doing pretty well. Best wishes to everybody and maybe I’ll be back a couple months down the road.1

Get better! Hopefully you just pulled a muscle. I keep muscle relaxers around for that and usually 2-3 days of tylenol and a muscle relaxer at night and I'll heal right back up. But if that doesn't do it by taking it easy for a few days, go see a doctor. You can re-join us any time, even next month if you want. No biggie.1 -

loving how I can see even after a few days my ability is getting better to hold. A minute still isn't 'easy' but have been able to push past for that extra 13 seconds a couple of times, and now the first 30seconds flies by faster!

Glad to see you are back at it @B3achy! Must have been a stray infected pixel that made you sick. The stuff going around this year is sneaky for sure. My whole family had it over a period of weeks, wife, children, grand children, etc. and I escaped it by continually disinfecting my house, washing my hands constantly, doubling up on vitamins, working out extra hard, etc. Then once they were all over it.. BAM it hit me. There's no escaping it. I opted not to get a flu shot this year because people were saying it was ineffective, so that might have bit me in the *kitten*. Who knows.1

Lol. Yea, I think I've been fighting it most of the month and maybe into Dec as I look at my logs whining about not feeling well. I think sometimes being healthy hurts because it takes longer for bugs to take you down, and then when it does, it's not pretty. I never get the flu shot...I always get sick with it (I know they claim you can't), so figure I'd rather have my body fight it off the natural way should I actually catch it (besides, they often are only guessing (ie, 'predicting' or 'estimating') what the flu might be for that year anyway, so no guarantees that the flu shot will actually work). Unfortunately, fighting it off naturally means it can be a bugger to get through though. Maybe I'll care more when I get older.

@beerfoamy - it is surprising how fast you can build up (just takes a bit of pushing yourself)...and building up is a great idea to make the shorter times much easier.0 -
