I’ll take it! I’ve adjusted my diet to include eating more low-glycemic foods. Last night we ate dinner at an Italian restaurant. I opted for the zucchini spaghetti rather than pasta. (It’s actually real zucchini cut with a spiral machine to look like pasta.) It was really good! I’m going to get one of those spiral machines...somewhere.

They have some little hand ones that work like a pencil sharpener for $15 at WalMart, and some bigger ones that have a hand crank and look a little easier for like $25.2 -

Sunday is my weigh in day but I couldn't resist. I stepped on the scale this morning and I'm down to 169. I'll update on Sunday. Wow CI/CO really does work. I ate Oreo cookies, chocolate chip, bacon, granola, sausage, rice, pizza, eggs, bread and had wine and haagen-daaz ice cream this week. I tried to maintain my caloric intake between1490-1500 per day. I was not expecting any drop. I did increase my daily steps this week to 13,000- 15,000 steps/day. My Garmin Vivofit band showed that I was burning 2000 calories or more per day which includes my BMR. Honestly, I'm not sure how accurate it is.

Not bad so far. 2 more weeks to go I might make it to 5lbs. When it gets warm outside I plan to add weight lifting. I hate the gym but I'm okay with going there just for resistance training. I'll continue to get my cardio by walking and counting steps
Today is my weigh in day. I didn't weigh myself because I was away at Miami Beach and no scale available at my hotel. I'm terrified to weigh myself. It's really hard to measure food when you away from home. I'll weigh myself tomorrow. Fingers crossed it's not so bad. I did walk a lot by the beach and kept my steps above 12,000 so hopefully it was worth it.
2/22: 168.5lb. I'll take that. I didn't gain any weight from my trip. Unfortunately this is PMS week so I'll probably gain. I'll continue to check my weight but I'll only record the number after my cycle.
2/26/17: 167lbs (-1.5) I'm surprised! it's pms week. I've been dealing with horrible cramps. I expected a weight gain

Not bad. 60% of goal achieved for February so far.
I started my weekend weight training yesterday. I found some really nice weight training for women illustration posters on Pinterest. I printed them and I'm using them for my weight training. Since I'm an extreme pear shaped I know it will be tough to lose around my hips and butt. So far I've lost 1 inch on my waist ( narrowest above belly button 30in) and 1.5in around belly button (now 32.5in) and only 1/2in off my hips (now at 47.5in). I'm planing to lift every Saturday and Sunday only until summer season and then switch to weekdays.

I cannot lie, I'm a bit discouraged. I flirted with 218-219, but the scale just wouldn't give it up for me today.
I'm in for March - I'm going to start posting my weekly AVERAGE as of each Sunday. That's a bit more encouraging - and a bit more telling in the bigger picture.
I have had the same scale, like, forever... bought it when I undertook my first serious weight loss adventure, in late 1999. It has always been spot-on with the doctor's office scale. Back then I lost around 50 lbs and I kept it off for about 13 years. In late 2013 the weight crept back on. Not all of it, but much of it. In late 2013 I changed careers, closed a business, went to work for somebody else - and I love it. In the middle of 2004 I started smoking again. - I'd quit in 1991... (yeah I was stupid to start up again.), I quit smoking in 2014 (I still vape but down to nearly no nicotine). Now - I was never 'thin'... at 202 lbs, I plateaued and nothing seemed to help, but 202 was better than 254. I'd flirt with Onederland, only to pop back up (that is a real psychological downer.) I maxed out this time at 238 in early 2016, and a year ago I scored a free treadmill (which I don't particularly like... but I used it for a while until my husband had a health issue and I had to tend to him). I lost about 6 lbs with the treadmill, and another 4 just by portion control during the remainder of 2016. For Christmas I got a Vivofit, and started using it and MFP to get serious. I digress... I kind of went all over the map there, didn't I? Long and short, from 2000-2013 I weighed around 202 steady, and then started gaining. That had to stop. So here I am.
Last week I was out grocery shopping and I saw a great deal on one of those fancy scales that measures body fat and hydration etc. I bought it. I instantly hated it as it told me I was 7 lbs heavier than I thought I was... AND the bells and whistles features didn't work at all. (Rated to 400 lbs, don't tell me that 'error' is because I'm too heavy!) So I returned that thing today. YUCK. LOL! I'm going to pretend like those extra 7 lbs don't exist, because the thing didn't work, right? So who's to say it was calibrated...
So I'm back to my old timey digital scale from the last century
The scale has been cruel this month although looking at my averages, they were as follows:
1/29/17: 223.6
2/5/17: 221.3
2/12/17: 221.0
2/19/17: 220.3
2/26/17: 220.00
There, now I don't look like quite such a slacker Right?
I'm not going to a gym. I'm active, but I'm not really good at workouts or regimens. What I have been doing, is walking around the warehouse where I work, for about 10-15 minutes before my shift every day. That's as early as I can enter the building, I pop in the ear buds and do my 'laps'. My coworkers are encouraging me, which is nice. Kayak season is right around the corner - I like to paddle and fish.
AND to end on a positive note, I'm OK with slow loss. I didn't gain overnight, nor shall I lose overnight. I'm minding my calories, eating better, and moving more. That will get me there.
I did have a seriously major NSV this week. When I cleaned out my closet in the fall... my belt no longer fit. That's a killer blow to the old ego. The other day, my jeans were a bit baggy around the waist (YAY!)... I thought I'd actually given the belt away... but I found it tucked in the back of the closet. IT FITS!!! It's on the last hole... but it FITS. I'm looking forward to my summer clothes fitting better this year. Some of them were a bit snug, and some I didn't wear at all last year. Some I gave away, but if I lose enough, I'll 'earn' some new stuff.
February goal: 217. - Yeah that ain't happenin'.... unless something weird happens in the next 2 days. So yeah, that's my story! Bring it on, March! In like a LION!
Ultimate goal:180. I haven't seen that number in 3 decades. Keep me accountable.

I started off with loss. Gained it back. I just lost some pounds after 4 weeks. I heard that give it four to six weeks to see if you lose weight if you don't than get your thyroid checked out. I guess it takes awhile for your body to recognize it.

I wanted to at least lose 4 lbs but I will take a loss at this point. My new goal is going to be lose at least 4 lbs next month. I would be down to my goal this month somewhere around 176 for march.

I forgot to post my weight Saturday. February's challenge was a good one for me! I no longer have an obese BMI, and I'm out of the 220's. I'm now lighter than both my brothers

I didn't lose as much as I wanted to in February. However I did see a difference in measurements and my clothes felt a lot looser. I seem to have dropped a size. Compared to January, I was less strict and started to have more treats. I'd like to tighten up my eating in March.7 -
