I have leg work and a double planned for this evening. And that will then end out the month for me.
Under goal, but only because I didn't take into consideration the shorter month and a race that I would have had to taper and recover from. Close though.

2/1 - 3.4 'mill miles and a quick weight session. The scale was ugly today.
2/2 - 4.1 treadmill miles.
2/3 - Rest day.
2/4 - 2.3 'mill miles and then Bodypump class
2/5 - Super Bowl = no run AND way overeating.
2/6 - 4.01 miles.
2/7 - 4.25 miles.
2/8 - Shoveled in lieu of running. I hate snow.
2/9 - 5.3 treadmill miles. Trek class with a lot of "tempo".
2/10 - 3.4 treadmill miles, then upper body weights.
2/11 - 4.33 miles. Red Flannel Run. Was supposed to be a 5 mile course! Someone sure missed on that. I was very happy with my pace and would have finished the 5 in under 40:00, so I was a little disappointed with that.
2/12 - 2.3 treadmill miles and Bodypump class.
2/13 - 4.1 miles.
2/14 - Impromptu rest day. Woke up with significant pain in both feet and some discomfort in my right hip. Not sure what's going on, but thought it best to rest a bit.
2/15 - 4.47 miles. (I think it was more like 4.62...GPS waited a block or so to start, weird).
2/16 - 5.17 treadmill miles. Trek class.
2/17 - 4.25 miles.
2/18 - 5.75 miles. Longest run in a while, starting to stretch out. Felt good!
2/19 - Rest Day.
2/20 - 4.51 miles. 58° F at 4:45 a.m. in February? Yes, please!
2/21 - 4.47 miles.
2/22 - 4.52 miles. Again, nearly 50°! I could get used to this!
2/23 - 4.20 miles. The nice weather is ending today.
2/24 - My plan called for a rest day. Not feeling it. May run later.
2/25 - 1.7 treadmill miles and Bodypump class.
2/26 - 3.11 miles. Slow, easy 5k with my son. GOAL!
2/27 - 4.55 miles.
2/28 - 4.75 miles. 50°, overcast and damp...perfect!!

@skippygirlsmom - Yay for you! That is great news! Gotta love finding a doctor who is a runner!
@Elise4270 - I hear ya on the legs...my hammies are still sore from Bodypump on Saturday.
@BeeerRunner - Mmm...Boston cream pie!
So, when is this Hawaii thing? I gotta save my pennies, or my wife needs to get a job. I could hang and drink fruity beverages on the beachside bars of Waikiki for sure. Snorkeling? Yes, please! Last time I was in Hawaii, I weighed ~100 lbs. more and running was not on the schedule.4 -
Did my Spartan Sprint and Super this weekend and now I'm really far behind. Working on catching up but for now I'll just jump to my post. Got to my goal and then some this month so I'm happy about that.
For the races I had a ton of fun. My running base was plenty enough to handle the distances (although all the hills ate me alive the day after) and the obstacles were fun (I didn't fail a single one) the only complaint I have is that there wasn't enough mud.
My oldest also competed in the kid's half mile Spartan (he is almost 5) and he had an amazing time, he is super proud of his medal and his younger brother can't wait to run next year (he is 3.5 and just a bit too young for this year). Proud Dad right now with the kiddos picking up good habits.

@Azercord are you going for a trifecta?0

The date is undecided. I am available just about anytime. @lporter229 and @ddmom0811 @BEERRUNNER @girlinahat ? Who else? Anyone else thinking about it? Needs to chime in what works for them. I'm married to a gypsy, DH will leave this afternoon if I say go.
I say start throwing out some dates!!!0 -
I can't thank you all enough for sharing in my happy news. If I tried to thank everyone by name I know I would leave someone out, but I did read everyone of your messages and I appreciate your words. @7lenny7 I laughed at your "roller coaster emotions" comment. The doctor must have thought I was nuts because I just stared at him. After my appointment I was able to stand there while he dictated all his notes into a recorder and that was awesome since now my brain was functioning again. ha ha

@skippygirlsmom Hurray for incredible news!!!!
@orphia I must've missed your birthday so HAPPY BIRTHDAY
@azercord Congrats to you and the little guy on your races!
I haven't run for days. I'm still trying to process where I am right now and what my focus needs to be for March. Also someone close to me had a situation this weekend while running (stalker type thing) and my hubby knows so now every time I wanna go run he's gonna bring it up. Sigh.
This weekend was my 6 year fitness anniversary. I've taken no significant time off exercise for 6 whole years! My goals have changed at times but I've maintained anywhere from 3-6 days a week of some type of exercise. So I ordered a "suck it up buttercup" tshirt and an LED arm band to celebrate.7 -
Training plan called for 24-minute easy recovery run, but I planned a 6k loop which would take me about 40 minutes. I got a dodgy tummy and at 29mins/4.4km I had to give up running and walk the rest of the route home, (and even that felt touch-and-go). By now I really should know better than to eat fatty foods (Carbonara) before a run. To be fair I had pre-planned my lunch and intended to do my run first thing this morning but I overslept which is why run didn't happen until this afternoon.
Missed my February target by some distance, but given 12 days in I had only done about 40km, to end up over 155km is pretty good:
01-Feb: 1.7km treadmill intervals [TM]
02-Feb: 3.4k treadmill [TM]
05-Feb: 6.6k + 5.5k easy
06-Feb: 7.5k tempo
07-Feb: 4.1k easy
10-Feb: 10k easy
13-Feb: 16k MP
14-Feb: 6.4k steady
15-Feb: 7.9k as 10min hard/3min recovery intervals
16-Feb: 6k easy
17-Feb: 9.2k steady
19-Feb: 10k fast (race-sim) + 2k cool-down
20-Feb (AM): 4.5k easy
20-Feb (PM): 7.9k steady
21-Feb: 9.5k off-road, hilly fartlek
23-Feb: 9.2k easy
27-Feb: 21.2k MP
28-Feb: 4.4k easy
2017 Confirmed Races:
19-Mar: Richmond Half Marathon
14-May: Bexhill Starfish Marathon

@greenolivetree Happy exercise anniversary!! 6 years is amazing! You deserve some cake too!2 -
OSUbuckeye906 wrote: »@BeeerRunner You may not have technically qualified yet, but if you run a fall marathon after mid-September of this year and run the same race you did this past Sunday you will qualify. And if you do it without falling, you'll probably have a good enough cushion to ensure you'll be able to register
@OSUbuckeye906 You now have me searching for a fast fall marathon!! I'm thinking early October.2 -
