Foolish things you did, when you were young..

What are the Foolish things you did when you were a child? When I was around 8 or so, I lit a small portion of the field up in flames lol an arsonist. I did that few times.

When I was 5 my baby brother got ahold of a knife. I tried to save him from cutting himself. By grabbing the knife by the blade. He wasn't the one that got stitches that night. I still have the scar on my hand.

I danced on a glass table & fell right through. In my defense, I had some sweet moves that really needed to be showcased.

On our farm, my sister and I used to touch the electric fence.... for fun.

I remember around probably kindergarten or 1st grade I ate paper for attention. I think I also ate bugs for attention......I additionally remember my mom telling me to stop eating dirt bc I'd get worms and that made me cry. I guess that was foolish but the more time I spend with kids that age the less I think it was weird.

Caught rattlesnakes, broke a horse (and she broke my ribs.. and foot), snuck out of the house at midnight to go exploring the woods in the moonlight, ditched school enough times, threw a chair at a teachers head, slapped the principle, poured soda on the substitute teachers lap when she told me to pour it out, tried pot (not all its cracked up to be..), told my mom I was living with my dad, and my dad I was living with my mom when in reality I was living with my boyfriend, got pregnant in highschool, dropped out of highschool.. So many good memories. Never tried hard drugs though or drank as a teen. Went to wild parties where I was dubbed the "prude".. and joykill.. and babysitter.. cause I wouldnt let them have "too much fun". As wild as I was, I still partied responsible

My son was into fire too. I looked out the window while folding clothes when he was 9 and he had started a fire by a big oak tree. He was fanning the flames and it was already up to his waist. I shook my head and my bf asked me what was up, so I pointed out the window. He saw the flames and freaked out. He ran outside screaming at my son so I followed and told him to zip it. I calmly told my son to put out the flames, then as punishment made him dig a fire pit and circle it with stones...over and over again. When the neighbor caught my daughter and hers smoking her cigs, she came over freaking out and screaming. Her daughter was in tears. Mine just looked..bored. She demanded to know what I planned to do about it. I smiled and said "girls, you just volunteered to work with emphysema patients!"

It pisses my sister in law off so much that I wont yell at my kids. I prefer life lessons.

My childhood friend and I were always doing dumb things. He convinced me to climb out on the roof when we were 5.

I swallowed the end of bic pen after lunch in junior high school, I had just sat down in my social studies class I tried to cough it back up, but when it came back up it actually went back down in my lung. No one believed me, the teacher, not even my own mother..

It ended up turning a certain way in my right lung and blocked my air, i was wheezing pretty bad. I had to have it surgically removed. I still have that stupid thing in a glass box.

I thought I fell in love with an online predator when I was 12. We never met in person but had an extensive online relationship. He stopped talking to me when I was 16 because I was getting old. I was bullied in school and had gaslighting parents, I was looking for attention in all the wrong places. Oh well.

I was going to wait for him to walk by this hole in the ceiling and pour the water on his head. Well the beam i was walking on was rotten. It crumbled and i fell through the ceiling into a bathroom. I fell flat on my back on a gallon paint can. My head hit the toilet. An old bicycle with no tires was sitting upside down and the part that holds the tire stuck in my shoulder. Knocked me out. I woke up in the ambulance. Sprained spine, broken ribs, some stitches and a concussion. I was lucky i know but the worst part...I was 10 and it was week one of summer vacation. I was well just in time for school to start. Worst summer ever!

I convinced my cousin, my older brothers, and sister, his mom said he could ride home with us after school one day. We played and played, so much fun...Until my aunt showed up raving like a lunatic BC she thought he had been kidnapped from school.

Yep, I lied. He got a spanking but my dad wouldn't let her touch me!! She brought it up for years. Never did get that spanking though.

I also used to talk this cousin into sneaking our classroom snacks while everyone else had naptime.

I got some 22s also. Made a little rack to hold some and set a small fire underneath [inside the house]. One of them ruptured open and the casing flew just past my head and embedded in the stairs.

when i was 5 i took the keys to my dads car. i walked next door to get my friend, had him get in the car with me, locked the doors, started it up and was attempting to drive away. when our parents found us, we refused to get out of the car so they called the police who came and picked the locks and gave me a stern talking to.

I was dared in 7th grade to girl in the girls locker room before they cam back from gym ...Thought I was slick cuz there was another door u can go out that they had all the gym supplies...Got in there & the door was locked & the girls came back in from gym& I had 2 hide ..I had no way out ...I thought I was screwed ...
