I have a friend in MD that runs a doggy day care, and she fosters puppies until they are adopted. This is her latest litter of fosters (one was adopted yesterday)

Not the clearest, but it was taken today. Madison is still with me, showing no signs of deteriorating with the bone cancer, as a matter of fact we are debating whether we need a second opinion on her diagnosis. Its been 4 months, the left leg got better, no more hobbling/limping, she actually gallops across the yard like she is young gain. She eats really well too. Tough ole girl she is.
I'm happy to hear this RoxieDawn. You're right. That vet could have been wrong. Maybe it was something else. Maybe just a sprang leg or something. Maybe its possible she needed to go number 2. Did you change her food? We put a tiny bit (1tbsp) of pure pumpkin into our girls dry dog food to help them go to the bathroom. And I also read that some of the Costco Brand dry dog foods had been recalled a while back. Happy to hear she's better.
Thank you!
We thought she slipped on ice back in January and it was a bruised leg or shoulder, front left leg. She limped on it for weeks even after bringing her inside to recover fully. We couldn't pin point pain by applying pressure so took her to doc, he couldn't determine anything without a x-ray.
A radiologist and doctor both signed off on her diagnosis, she was trying to grow new bone but it was trying to grow around the mass in her leg. Maybe she has grown enough bone now to support, but because this type of cancer always has a secondary cancer which is fatal (not the mass in her leg) which is usually in brain, jaw, lungs, etc. that she would show signs by now.
Dogs go through something called decompensation, maybe this is part of it too. We are much confused, she is 14 years old, we keeping a very close on eye on her, so its a wait and see.5 -
I ran across this, couldn't resist. She is all grown up now and a heathen of a dog.

My pups at first were like, "how long is this new puppy staying?"
Now one pups guards the baby like he's her own pup. (Had to teach her not to snap at anyone trying to take the baby from me. Even dad!) The other one sniffs him, but is kinda afraid of him and runs away if the baby puts his hand out...

Yeah, she is still afraid of the kid. Not that I blame her, he is only 9 months old, so like babies do he tends to grab onto a handful of stuff and not let go. We try to keep a close eye on things so he doesn't pull ears or something sensitive. He thinks it is absolutely hilarious when she is laying down and her tail is thumping, she will let him play with that for a minute sometimes.0 -

Catahoola?
I think you're talking about my pup, the quoted image. Yes, we think she is/mostly is a Catahoula. She was a rescue so not sure though.1
