    @Stoshew71 Awwww...you did great! Did you have to avoid large puddles of water? I wasn't able to track (computer woes), but at the start,I saw large puddles of water. Very surprised about the heat and humidity. We have been getting lots of rain, but cool here. Super inspiring that you toughed it out!

    02/04 - 4.2 mile (34:01), followed with 3 mile Interval, Chest, Triceps & Core
    03/04 - 3.2mile run @ 25.25, followed with 1 mile Interval & Core
    04/04 - 7.7 mile run - Dreieich Day 1- 3 days running the same route
    05/04 - 3.3 mile midweek run, followed with Shoulders Biceps and Core workout
    06/04 - 7.7 mile run, not the most inspired, as it took a while to get into the rhythm
    07/04 - 3 mile Interval, Back & Core
    08/04 - sort of day off - only a 4.2 mile run after watching F1
    09/04 - post-F1 8 mile run, cut short by shopping delivery (was supposed to be 10 miler)
    10/04 - 4 mile Interval, Chest & triceps supersets, followed with Core
    11/04 - 3.2 mile fast(er) run @24:05, followed with 2 mile Interval, Shoulders & Core
    12/04 - 8 miler, which was tougher than expected, speed and elevation changes
    13/04 - Headache-enforced rest day, charging up for Easter
    14/04 - 4.25 mile Increased pace, followed with 2mile Interval, Biceps & Triceps supersets
    15/04 - 3.4mile steady run, followed with 5K row, and 2 mile Interval & Core 
    16/04 - 13.16 miles - Easter Bunny support run
    bowel-cramp enhanced final leg of the Easter Bunny run, needed 2 "different movement" breaks, totaling 5 minutes, during which I left my watch running, and still finished just under 2 hrs, so my target should be possible even if *kitten* hits the fan
    17/04 - 2 mile Interval, Back & Core
    18/04 - Caveman special - 3mile Interval, Chest & Triceps supersets, followed with Core
    19/04 - 6.4 mile killer run - included me swearing a lot at my TM, which was not very impressed, followed with Interval & Core
    20/04 - 4.2 mile run (Taper #2) followed with 2 mile Interval & Shoulders
    21/04 - Caveman special - 3.2mile Interval, Biceps/Triceps Superset & Core
    22/04 - 6.2mile Taper run #3 (avg 8:16, which is too fast (again)), followed with 2 mile Interval, Legs & Core
    23/04 - 6.2mile Taper #4 (@8:35min/pm - much better pace, not certain if it was the lack of music or different shoes), followed with Interval & Shoulders supersets
    24/04 - 3 mile Interval, Arms & Core
    25/04 - 5.3 mile super-paced run, forgot phone-belt, so no music, no timing-update, just relaxed pace, felt I could go all day
    26/04 - 6.5 mile Taper run #6 - Easy pace - They must have forgotten to pay the heating bill over here, as it was not very warm
    27/04 - 6.2 mile Taper run #7 - Hope this will not be as it will go on Monday, as then I will be toast - run was difficult from the start, so to not give in I speeded up as well, stupid I will remain
    28/04 - Caveman special - 3.2 mile Interval, Back & Core - ah, velly nice to throw around the weights again
    29/04 - 4 mile run - avg pace 8:22, which again is too fast - Found out they have pacers on Monday as well, so now wondering if I should go with the 2hr pacer or the 1:55hr pacer ... decisions decisions
    - Followed up with Interval & Shoulders workout
    30/04 - T-1 - Non-cardio day - Caveman special - 3.3mile Interval, Arms superset & Core workout

    Monthly Goal: Stay "healthy" and get in good marathon training
    Nominal Mileage goal: 191 miles.

    Today's notes: Got the last 5 miles in this morning, to close out training for April. Ran my miles in 47:34, for an average pace of 9:30, Average HR was a bit high for recovery effort, at 151, but still in E range, so I'm OK with that. Tomorrow starts my biggest mileage month ever, so, I'm a little excited anxious about that!

    Way to adjust and finish the race @Stoshew71! Considering how you felt I suspect many others would have dropped out. I see they had some very nice incentive to keep the runners going in that bottle though! :smiley:

    Great progress @ereck44! It is nice to keep logs like that to look back on and compare.

    Looking forward to your upcoming monster mileage month @MNLittleFinn! My highest monthly mileage is 210 so I'm really excited for you as you're blasting into territory I can only imagine!

    @WhatMeRunning thanks! I'm kind of freaked out about it. Sure, it's "only" 20 miles more than this month, but it's kind of insane to me. If all goes well, I'll end up run long 100 miles MORE than I did last May..... Still can't believe I've come this far.

    Four miles at easy effort today.

    I felt really good and was able to do longer stretches of running and even run up the tops of some of the hills making a great pace. Particularly since it is the day after a long run on the most brutal 12 mile route I was able to design (on road that is).

    This is just the kind of sign I was looking for that these last 3 weeks of nothing but hills to finish off the 6 week increaed mileage base building cycle truly hit the intended mark. Of course I still have 4 more runs this week, but I should see similar results on those as the hardest part is already done.

    I am probably going to lose my mind during the down week starting next weekend.

    Oh, look at that! April is done! I killed my target, but really only because I changed my training plan mid-month which upped my mileage. I don't think that sort of change will happen next month as I have myself dialed in pretty good right now. I admit I am pretty shocked at how things have progressed from the start of last month to the end of this month. I never would have thought it possible. But I'll take it. :smiley:

    @Stoshew71- Sorry the weather threw a curve ball at you this weekend. Everyone I know who ran Louisville and Nashville finished about an hour off pace. Heat after rain is just brutal because the humidity just hangs on you. Way to tough it out! And that souvenir is awesome. If my husband sees that, he will want me to run that race next year!

    Eleven miles this morning. A storm brought a cold front through overnight so it was a fabulous 56 degree with sun and a little wind - Just Perfect!

    I am a little concerned about my ankle. It was fine while I was running. After the run, however, the back/outside of my ankle was really sore. My Achilles tendon? I iced it for a while - hope it is nothing...

    9 sweaty miles in high humidity this morning. I've had some busy weekends recently and really need to catch up on sleep, so I wasn't planning on setting an alarm for this morning but I changed my mind when I saw it was supposed to be 83 by 11am. It was still incredibly humid and the pollen count was pretty high, so those things gave me some trouble but, for the most part, I felt pretty good most of the run. I made sure to keep my pace at a manageable 9:40-9:50 to avoid burnout but I did also have to stop and stretch a few times. The last two miles I was pretty zapped of energy as I was starting to get pretty hungry and the temps started to rapidly rise. I ran fasted today but have never run long distances fasted before, so my body is still getting used to it. I did bring some nuun with me for hydration and I'm glad I did at least that. Since I've run this morning, I've felt some more twinges in my right lower leg (where I had my stress injury) than I usually do and a few resemble pain. I have 5 miles scheduled for tomorrow and a rest or cross-train day on Tuesday and was already thinking of swapping them, so that's what I'll do. I'll reassess after the rest day tomorrow and see if a shorter run on Tuesday feels do-able. Ever since I've seen some improvement in my gait and I've been done with PT, I've been a little more lax with keeping up with the exercises, so those really need to be my priority because I don't want this injury coming back.

    @Stoshew71 Sorry the weather so greatly affected your marathon, but you still did incredibly well given the circumstances. Hopefully you will get the race your were hoping for next time. Very cool souvenir too!

    @kimlight2 Congrats on a great race! Sounds like you had a great time and I'm glad the rain held off for you.
