I can do any French names properly like Montpellier in Vermont or where ever it is. I know how to properly pronounce it since Canada...French and all0 -

Grew up in SE Alaska and in Wisconsin. Been in the Midwest US for most of my life at this point.
I've lived in the Chicagoland area for almost 20 years now. I'm not a fan personally. I am a bit more of a country, outdoorsy type. Not real big on the suburban yuppie lifestyle

My husband has told me though that when I'm on the phone with my relatives from Washington state that I don't sound as Southern, but when I'm around my momma's side of the family...who are *really* Southern, that my accent gets thicker.0 -

I'll try doing a short clip of my voice sometime but I really don't like it so I may be hesitant.

I heard more of the Chicago in your accent I don't know what an Alaskan or Wisconsonian (?) would sound like...Weird how our ear I guess picks up what we recognize1 -

My mama's family is from Alabama. I sound like a native after a visit. I always get told I have a southern accent, but I grew up in the DC area. So unless I picked it up from my mother, I dunno.1 -
