It's so cool to hear voices. I wish someone would invent a device that allowed us to freely talk and hear voices instead of having to text, communicate in writing on forums, upload voice files to a host site, etc.2

Nope, mine's the real deal.
My husband has told me though that when I'm on the phone with my relatives from Washington state that I don't sound as Southern, but when I'm around my momma's side of the family...who are *really* Southern, that my accent gets thicker.
My mama's family is from Alabama. I sound like a native after a visit. I always get told I have a southern accent, but I grew up in the DC area. So unless I picked it up from my mother, I dunno.
Yay, Sweet Home Alabama! What part?

It's a 1000 year old Viking script about Völva (witch thingy who can see into the future) and it's about how the world was created.

Suo Gan is my favorite hymn. I believe it is Icelandic.
I'm not sure but I think it's Welsh.. I think Heyr Himnasmiður (listen heavens carpenter) is the only one who's famous outside our little island

This is one of my favorite videos! I know they redid it in the studio, but this version is the best.

Yes, @Gimsteinn1 guessed Aussie.
I didn't notice a lisp though.

Maybe its not as bad as I imagine. I do find myself pausing when I am about to say some words, so that I say them correctly and not too lisp-y

What's funny to me about this is so many people hate talking on the phone these days and would rather text.
I'm the same.
BUT for some reason this thread has made me giddy.
Go figure.3 -

Scattered around southern Alabama and northern Florida. Many of them in Coffeeville.1 -
where are you from? It sounds like a fish mash of lots
Grew up in SE Alaska and in Wisconsin. Been in the Midwest US for most of my life at this point.
I've lived in the Chicagoland area for almost 20 years now. I'm not a fan personally. I am a bit more of a country, outdoorsy type. Not real big on the suburban yuppie lifestyle
I heard more of the Chicago in your accent I don't know what an Alaskan or Wisconsonian (?) would sound like...Weird how our ear I guess picks up what we recognize
Alaska is really a mix of people, most of them are transplants from the lower 48. However, I am part Haida Indian and most of the people of my tribe have that slow, deliberate, slightly mumbling speech that I do hear when I listen to myself in the recording
I'm not sure what a Wisconsin accent is, but I must have one as it looks like a few people pick up on it. When I first moved there, I noticed Wisconsinites do tend to talk in complete thoughts and sentences. Not sure if that is what people hear or if Wisconsinites have their own accent0 -
For myself, I sound exactly like as presented (slight difference in the Acting thread).

Like when i heard australians on american tv shows, they sound too australian, like they are exaggerating the accent so people know they are australian.1 -

The first Mad Max film (1980) had to be dubbed because American audiences couldn't understand the Austrailian accent.0 -

For my iPhone I have to use the Voice Recorder app then I save to my Google Drive. Safari doesn't like Vocaroo, so I open it with Chrome and then I can upload the file from my Google Drive.1 -

I used a free voice recorder app, saved the file to my cloud drive, and uploaded it on the web browser on my phone to the vocaroo site.
Is that what you're asking?1 -

I always think Southern people on TV sound so much more Southern than they should. Ha so yeah, I get that.1 -

Just wanted to say that there was something really awesome about listening to this You could be reading the back of a shampoo bottle for all I know, but it sounded really neat.
Wonderful voice!1 -
I'm not sure how someone could do that. I do admit that depending on what I'm talking about, I can have a bit of a southern accent, or so I'm told.1 -

There should be a place on our profiles where we could upload a greeting. That would be fun.
