I understand where you are coming from. But to be honest in this day in age I feel personally that I want to have my own private life and security. Not from a paranoia perspective just an honest IT professional in the industry and I've seen to much crazy sh** not to be cautious. I still enjoy the forums and talking with like minded individuals.
PS:
I don't really care if anyone wants to add me or not. Not that I want to be a "dic*" just saying that my primary agenda is fitness and motivation which trumps my desire for how many "friends" I've accumulated into my profile.0 -
I personally do not like taking pictures of myself, even when I think I look good. I might post pictures of myself in the future, if I hopefully can do one of these before/after type things.

I tend to change mine alot. My reason I like sharing different parts of my life & if you use the phone app it's not so easy to post photos on your wall. So sometimes I change it to my art or I will change it to a funny meme because I'm talking to a friend that's having a bad day. I might also change it if I m being bugged by someone or whatever. I don't deny someone based on their picture. If they send me a creeper msg yes I will deny.

I don't care much, honest!y. Even an actual person-pic may not be that person, for all I know. On the internet anybody could be anybody. I don't require a face shot in order to Friend someone. I'm not staking my life on the "Friendship" so I'm just not really concerned.0

Nah, I respect why some people might not want to put a photo of themselves on a site and it doesn't discourage me from adding them. Mostly, I look at two things: Did they send me a message with their friend request (that wasn't outright sexual or making it obvious they are only interested in one thing) and Do they have any friends on site? If it's yes to both and it looks as though they've been around for awhile, I usually will accept and give them a chance.
Besides, a picture means nothing since I can literally post pictures of stupid stuff or cats as a my profile image.0 -
