Parents let their kids eat trash?

Options
Between Instagram and people-watching at restaurants, I notice that parents will make healthy decisions for themselves, but order deep-friend/fatty foods for their own kids. Why is that?

From this question, I surmise that you do not have children, right?

I don't have kids, but I can't imagine kids are all that complaint with healthy eating. I'd definitely mind your own business on this one.

I can only assume it's because kids like to eat with their fingers.. I don't have kids. I just notice it a lot too.... and I think that's one of the problems with obesity. Kids learn their eating habits at a young age..

    Sleep deprivation & Pester Power.

But don't take my word for it - babysit someone's kids for about a week (or 3 days) and it will be glaringly obvious.

I don't always order "fatty" foods for my daughter but one of the fun things about being a kid is eating stuff like french fries and chicken nuggets without worrying about it. She also eats ice cream!! *gasp!*

Please don't allow your children to eat from the trash can.

Uh, we used to get food out of the trash all the time. You only go for the sealed stuff, and it's fine...

I can only say that when I was a child, if my parents had handed me a Happy Meal toy and a salad, I would have eaten the toy.

I agree, just because some kids are eating ice cream and "not so healthy choices" doesn't mean that they are doing this on a daily basis. Some just assume this is how children eat all the time.

I don't know what you're talking about. My kids are on raspberry ketones and the green coffee bean enema cleanse, just like all the sensible adults.
