can see the basic attraction to no idea keto based idea.theoretically it sounds great. Until the problematic lack of sugars and mineral deficiency.6

Source for this? Dare I ask?
It's not clear that you understand the purpose of the debate forum, or that you even understand what a debate is.
To counter your assertion:

Everyone needs caloric restriction. Everyone has different preferences and what satiates and makes it easy for someone to adhere to a method of restriction will vary, but equating that to "changing the default metabolic process" No.
You beat me to it.2 -
Why? Why? Why? especially if any sources I were to provide will just be dismissed out of hand.... just because they don't conform to your so-called standards.
this isn't rocket science we're not working in the health profession nobody cares what we say or think why is this so why do you care?11 -

Really. ..... ok everything we do in terms of exercise nutrition has a direct and a secondary impact on what would otherwise be a default metabolic process.... ie your individual homeostasis.4

Of course not....I was just being facetious making the point that the deaths I am referring to before the current trend.4 -

God forbid anyone ask you to provide a reputable source for your claim that this popular diet LITERALLY KILLS PEOPLE.
01189998819991197253Z is a murderer. My source is "01189998819991197253ZSUCKS.com" Does that sound like a good argument or even an informed opinion to you?11 -

You obviously are not... doesn't mean some of us aren't (or won't be soon) and need to make sure our knowledge is accurate and as up-to-date as possible so at to not go killing people by accident.
I'd rather not have a lawsuit on my hands before I even fully finished my degree...2 -

There are people on this site who are doctors, nurses, PhDs, registered dietitians, certified physical trainers, and a wide variety of other professions directly and indirectly connected to health, wellness, fitness and science.
New members in particular come to these boards for advice and help when they are confused about the plethora of conflicting information available to them, and many of the veterans pride themselves on our ability to help people sort through the woo and pseudoscience that comes from clickbait sites and for profit charlatans.
The fact that you seem to think this is a joke, that no one cares, that it's ok to just ramble on incoherently with no regard for spelling, sentence structure or grammar is concerning. If you don't care to try to uphold the standards of these boards, please stick to the chit chat section. Your comments could legitimately hurt someone if they misconstrue your words and your sources as being legit.22 -

anyone can highlights and out of context portion of the post and make an issue of it.5 -
I'm sure if I were to say something like our blood is never blue...you'll find some convoluted logical reason for why that's not correct. And demand refferances.7

fact that you felt the need to write that book just show red flags. and anyone actually working for the benefit and care about us although better but trust any information looked up on discussion form such as this. it's ridiculous and woukd be vegy irresponsible. And not my problem.10

Frankly, this is the only weight management/fitness site I've seen where people are willing to put in the time and effort to search out legitimate, peer-reviewed studies to debunk the reams of diet/fitness woo that gets posted, or support their own assertions.
Anyone can write a blog or opinion piece and post any damn thing that comes into their head. I just finished reading about a diet where you eat walnuts and lose a pound a day!! The article (from Women's Day magazine) is based on the opinion of an author with a diet book to sell, and a (Harvard!) study of n=10. If I were to post on any mfp forum that we could all lose weight by eating more walnuts I would (rightfully) have my *kitten* handed to me on a platter.12 -
If yo truly believe the report of different deaths 100 years ago chsnges snytgibg here the you have don unrealistic expectations of this internet-based form.... its one data point and its part of the history of the kinesthetic diet.8

Few things anymore find all the internet on then a completely accurate honest truthful or possible. In the end it's up to each individual to make their own assessment of the validity of a claim or test for themselves. everyone should have a healthy dose of scepticism about themselves whenever. More over generally speaking is not always a good idea to promote Blind Faith another source.7

I usually just sit back and read these threads, since I never took any science after high school. But the ketogenic diet was apparently created in 1921 (Source: https://www.news-medical.net/health/History-of-the-Ketogenic-Diet.aspx), so I'm not sure what bearing the 1918 stats on child mortality could possibly have unless somehow used as a before-keto/after-keto comparison.
And for the record, I'm a moderate-to-high-carbing vegetarian who'd never heard of keto before this site and never saw it as sustainable for me, though I completely respect that it works for others.9 -
as I said I was being very facetious and high infant mortality is just a fact of the early history prior to the incarnation.3
