My post didn't leave that out.

True, 3 subway sandwiches per day isn't going to give your body what it needs. However, no one said anything about 3 subway sandwiches per day as the only foods, just that having 600 calories for a meal with 3 meals/day isn't bad.

lol i assumed..... from the prior post and stuff

For all of you who do go for light mayo options... just be mindful that it may not actually BE light mayo you are getting. I worked at Subway and let's just say I fought a hard battle to get them to put actual light mayo in the light mayo bottle....I'm not saying all subways are like this, but certainly the one I worked at isn't the only one filled with lazy and/or careless employees.

In regards to the 'subway is not healthy' vibe.. (and hopefully not too off topic)
Everything is unhealthy if you over indulge. Take a look around. Unless you plan on never eating out again, never entering a bakery, cafe, restaurant or bar again, never going to a party or birthday or christmas event. You are going to sometimes eat things with sugar and fat in them. The key here is supposed to be in making the best choices we can when faced with these options. And with that in mind.. Subway is going to get my business 100% of the time over any other fast food chain where I live. Because.. they have the healthiest options.
So to the OP.. good on you for making a good choice. And try the honey mustard sauce.. its a lot less than chipotle and very tasty.

This is not the first time I have heard this. There have been many a thread on Reddit where this has come up.

Luckily I never eat subway unless I am on my way home. So, if I want mayo on it, I bring it home and add my own single serving of olive oil based mayo. At least then I know what and how much!

Also, I do get cheese on mine (unless I get a sweet onion chicken). I like cheese. I just account for it.

I have never had an issue with the MFP options. You just have to look close to what you are adding. Many do NOT include cheese or mayo or any of that stuff. You need to add it separate.

My oven roasted wasnt 600. But it was about 500. But I got avocado. It really depends on what you get. I try to get sauces on the side. Or you can turn it into a salad. That's a lot less calories

Yeah I noticed that by the time I add the olives, pickle, adjust the sauce calories to reflect the servers generous (ridiculous) portions (even when I asked for sparingly)... it got up there. I was surprised by what was actually included on the subway sandwich to make it a 6 under 6 sub and what wasn't. It just goes to show it worth doing your research before believing the hype.

600 calories 3 times a day is not bad at all.

thats 1800.... which is way too much for a female

    Since when ??? :noway:

I guess my body didn't get the memo on this one. :indifferent: Only on lazy days do I eat less than 1800 and those are really lazy days.

edit: Oh and I'm losing weight at an average of 2lbs per week.

you left out the major point of my post....

and not healthy what so ever to be your only 3 meals

I almost responded to this, then saw your user name.

haha, my sub usually comes to 800 calories! I get double meat, sauce and loads of veggies! But As long as I keep track of the rest of the days calories, it's not a problem!

You don't really specify what type of sandwich you are eating. I get the 6" turkey and it's about 280 calories without cheese.

What type of bread are you getting that on? I would think that a 6" sub roll ALONE would be at least 280.

Try Pita Pit! It uses WAY less bread, and they literally stuff your pita full. Also, all their sauces are LIGHT, so there is no way you can mess up! I get a small garden pita on whole wheat, and add spinach, cucumber, tomato, onion, green peppers, bean sprouts, parmesan cheese, and ancho chipolte sauce and its a whopping 245 calories! With VERY low fat. They have a site and it includes a nutrition calculator, so you can find out what you're getting before you even step in the store.
I would pick Pita Pit any day over Subway... But that's just me :)

Seriously - it’s your fault for not checking the extensive nutritional information from Subway... I personally LOVE subway. I get a Subway Club Salad with the works and it comes in at under 250 cals
