Never. it's so insanely rude.

This X 10!3 -
Definitely not. It is even worse if you are working out in a pool. The perfume/cologne tends to sit on top of the chlorine fumes in the air and intensifies.

I wouldn't in a public gym, but in my home gym I go all out2
-
No. Please don't force perfume on other people.0

These are great lmao1

Definitely no!0

As someone with asthma, please no.3

No. Absolutely not. My reason being that you don't know what scent may offend someone/cause them issues.
Hate to use myself as an example but I'm hyper-sensitive to scents/other strong smells (as an example, I can smell cigarette smoke from a considerable distance away without seeing the offending item).
Someone in the gym on an adjacent cardio machine had (to me anyway) really strong aftershave on and it was doing me in. Of course, the more this guy ran, the hotter he got, the stronger the smell was. I had to actually leave the gym in the end.
I stay away from the cardio machines now as I cannot tolerate the perfume/aftershave some people wear. Although that doesn't particularly bother me as I'd rather be outside cycling/walking/running anyway.4 -
It would be wise to not do that. Anything you spray on your body combine with sweat will be more offensive than "traditional body sweat."0

Showering regularly and Antiperspirant is sufficient.6
-
Only after... You know instead of a shower.11
-
Well, we have our grandparents generation who still go to the gym. I find it is only them who are wearing it. When you are 80+at the gym....hell you deserve to wear whatever you want! Lol I smell more guys body odor then anything or what about the obnoxious lifting dudes trying to impress people by dropping the weights so loud ( while looking to see who was watching) or the lady on the treadmill always on her cell phone, sometimes even on speaker. Lots of gym annoyances. Haha3

sprayed in moderation ok
choice between BO and perfume. perfume it is.
come to think of it i dont have a choice its a public place4 -

thats gross
i saw a lady spray herself after her double work out. thats not going to be pleasant for the people around her.0 -
I can get a migraine from someone drenched in perfume or cologne walking by someone at the grocery store. I'd say lighter is better in most cases. I don't know if they need to be totally banned at a gym but wouldn't be upset by such a policy.7
-
Please don't.
I am one of those people who is VERY scent sensitive. Must have been a bloodhound in a prior life.
I get extreme headaches from smelling perfumes of any kind, even very light scents.
I have to vacate an area in an area where any strong scents are present and would have to leave the gym if anyone wore a perfume there.6 -

Ditto. Also migraines.
You're going to a place where people gather to do activities that cause rapid and deep respiration. It's so much worse than just passing someone in a store with heavy perfume.
If you don't want to take a whole shower before your workout (because you'll just need one after anyway) then just use deodorant beforehand, and/or sink wash your pits.7 -
I've never encountered this at the gym, but if it was some odor controlling body spray and I had to choose between that and BO, I'd definitely choose the body spray (or whatever).1

Please no! Even when I run in the park & pass people drenched in perfume I feel like I am choking! Honestly, other than running past someone smoking, perfume-drenched-walkers are the worst! Keep it for after your workout.3

Wait... What?? There are runners who can run while smoking? I can't even run... well... mostly at all.2 -

now that should be banned3 -
Ha, I meant people smoking while standing still or walking along the path, not running!3
-
Please no! I am allergic to perfume. Mostly it will give me a migraine, but sometimes it can give me hives, and trouble breathing.5
-
Nope. I don't get migraines from it. I don't get hives or nosebleeds. I just don't think most of them smell good. And most people use WAY too much. Don't be "that guy".4
