Heather dont you and the Hubby look wonderful...
Lenora~ I keep all my bills on the quicken program, Tom at least did that for me, so if he starts anything I have proof and its backed up. now if I cant use the texts and emails, all I have to do is show that I transferred money into the joint account for electric, internet phone , everything.. now that he no longer has a car payment. then there is more money going into his account. Chevy Volt is an electric car Lenora, so now we both have cars that are paid off, he did give me the paperwork that the attorney and judge asked for. so I will make a copy for myself and the other copy will go to my attorney.
Still trying to work on the condo thing.. went online and found out the name of the owner and would like to write him a nice note..3 -

HEATHER - great photos

Had a lovely sunny day walking around Rønne on the Danish island of Bornholm. Originally a fishing village, in the war it was occupied by the Germans and then, three weeks before the war ended, badly bombed by the Russians and occupied by them until 1946. So sad seeing the exhibits in the museum. In the cold war, because it was so close to Poland and East Germany, some people used it as an escape route. Very dangerous because of watch towers on the beaches.
The costumes and clocks from bygone years were fascinating. Apparently a ship, carrying a consignment of English clocks, was shipwrecked on the beach and the islanders took it upon themselves to repair them. All self taught. They got so good at it they started to make the clocks and their cases themselves. Extremely collectable now of course.
We also went to the ceramics museum. With a local source of clay they have long been manufacturing pots. There was a historical exhibition and we saw people making them. Beautiful things and very expensive, not the usual tourist tat. We bought a medium sized bowl, chestnut brown matte glaze on the outside and a blue/grey lustre on the inside. (I adore ceramics)
Mia - It's Saga. There are two dedicated ships and others they lease. They are currently building a new, 1,000 passenger one in Wismar, where we dock tomorrow. We like our small one, but sadly they are scrapping it in 2019. The last cruise to South Africa, is already fully booked - 8 weeks! The company does cruises and tours for the over 50s, including river cruises.
We have one more cruise booked for next June, in the same cabin. Islands of Bothnia. Norway, Sweden, Finland and Germany.
We will try Saga Sapphire after that, another smaller one, to see if we like it.
I've walked around for three and a half hours today.
Lots of love, Heather UK xxxxxxx2 -
glo I definitely want your recipe for the zucchini feta bake, Love that flavor combo--I will not be able to read it today--liquid prep day--but I can dream about making it tomorrow! And yes, can't wait for school to begin--teachers like getting back into the classroom as much as families are happy to get their kiddos back to school.
Heather love the captain pic--happy memories.
Today will be a day to purge/shred old paperwork and start making positive goals for the "new" year. September is a happy new year experience for me-clean slate in so many areas.

Lenora Happy Anniversary!!!
Gloria in WA Zucchini Parmesan Feta Bake sounds soooooo yummy!
Heather Love love love the photo at the Captain's party. Looks like you are having a wonderful time! And wanted to tell you and Barbie that "Human" by the Killers is one of my all-time favorite songs. There is a Jazzercise routine to that song that I adore. Love it! ...Also, the museum and history info is fascinating - thank you!
NYKAREN I love that you are getting psyched for the new school year! I bet you are an amazing teacher. Thinking about my very best and very favorite teachers, I can count 2 music teachers in that small group of superstars! James Bragg was my band teacher for 8 years; he and I were both cornet players. One year I was getting a bit bored with the cornet, so he challenged me to try a baritone solo for contest. I took 1st place overall, something I never accomplished with my cornet. And J Gordon Christensen - what can I say? Our little town was unbelievably fortunate to have him in our elementary school as vocal teacher for so many years, although I was already in high school by then. He is an accomplished organist in Nebraska who cajoled small children to sing like angels, convinced older kids like me we could play Chopin, Mendelssohn, Debussy, Brahms, etc on the piano, and garnered respect in a strict Missouri Sinned Lutheran Church as organist and role model, despite the generally acknowledged but not ever addressed fact that he is gay. "Don't ask don't tell" was the rule of the day, and people respected him so much he was able to live peacefully in our provincial midst as an unlikely superstar. My mother loved Mr. C, and they often collaborated on productions for the county fair, school performances, Eastern Star gigs, etc. Good memories.
I am making my delicious yogurt today with the extra probiotics. It will be ready in about 9 hours.
Right now I am sipping green tea and catching up on national news. We are living in an interesting time.

Allie - Sorry you can't use the 'texts' and 'pictures'. But, maybe your attorney could let him know how his attorney acted. Unprofessionally late should not be tolerated. So, I take it that they attorneys are working on a more 'permanent settlement'. Will you get one of the paid off vehicles? Something else to think about, getting your own vehicle insurance. A little here and there, money tends to trickle away quickly. Need to write out of list of what your expenses will be (estimate if you must). Other than an apartment, they (utilities/phone service) would probably charge a 'hookup' fee. So much to 'think' about so making lists will help with the 'fog' you'll have and then be able to voice your 'need to have', etc.
Proud of you and what you've done ... at least the Judge knows what TomCat and his attorney have pulled in the past. I'm sure that your attorney made that well known, in case he doesn't show up to other hearings or court dates.
Got my car back yesterday, yeah!!!! Looks wonderful!

Good morning all. Love reading your news and the pictures are lovely. I wish I could travel--always wanted to go to Scotland. I will attempt a picture of rock we made. Take care and be a bit wicked if needed.

Josephine ~ Cute rock! I got my GD (turning 6) a frog rock to paint kit and I know she will love it as she has always been interesting in painting, coloring, etc. Also got her a kit for making a stained looking glass butterfly.
Heather ~ What a handsome couple y'all are!
NY Karen ~ It seems like you just got out of school for the summer and now you are going back. My DnL got out at the end of May and went back at the end of July. Still time to take the grands swimming after school. But, they are all so busy with activities and lots of rain that they can't go as often as they like.
Karen in VA ~ What a wonderful childhood to have been exposed to such talented people. Your mom must have been very talented too.
Going for my first physical therapy this afternoon for the knee. Got a cortisone shot yesterday. Doc allowed me a temporary handicap pass so when I go for jury duty I might be able to park close to the courthouse. Doc would not sign the paper to get me out of it....he said I was not disabled. LOL! There were so many people on crutches and walkers and wheel chairs in the waiting room, I guess I can see why he would think that.

Carol - Happy Birthday! I hope you had a fantastic day celebrating!
Heather - it looks like you are having a fantastic time! I love your photos and you look fantastic in your black dress, very sexy!
Katla - thanks for thinking about me! I have a recheck on my Lymes disease on the 28th. Sorry about how your DD is behaving. Time to charge her rent. Make her stay in her room because of her behavior. She wants to act like a child she can be treated like a child.
Allie - I know in Minnesota if you buy property even if it is only in one persons name it still belongs to both if you are married. That would include the condo that you are thinking of purchasing. If you don't mind my suggestion I would say that since you will not receive your alimony until after you move out I would definitely move out tonight and into your fathers house or with a friend. Go down to the courthouse and change your address to prove that it has been done and start collecting your money.
Lenora - I hope you have a fantastic anniversary!
Still no news from my DH' S employer about the job he is hoping to transfer to in Arizona. His plans are to fly down this Sunday and put his application in at other businesses. If you could pray or send positive thoughts his way for the transfer to happen before Sunday that would be great! Either way we are still moving forward. The RV is bug bombed! I saw two spiders and had to totally unload the RV! Then bug bombed it and realized I forgot to close a vent. I had to re-bug bomb it then washed out every single cupboard, floor and walls! That put me like four days behind. I reloaded everything. I am now working on our garage sale that I had put off since we decided to make this move. As well as packing things that we are going to store while we are gone. We will be putting up a wall on our main level to make it into a two bedroom apartment separate from the upstairs which will be our living quarters for ourselves or guests during our time away. We will be moving our furniture upstairs and living in our cabin for the next couple of weeks until we move down to Arizona.
I love seeing all the baby pictures as well as the fur babies! Love your gray kitten Lisa! All the pictures of you ladies are very inspiring! Everyone is doing fantastic!
Just for fun I thought I would post my workout!

Lanette, well we are traveling about 6 hours up to him. My son has mentioned off and on that it would be so neat to come off a military plane, and hug us. So we are going to make that happen! So we arrive a day before he stated he would be arriving home. Plus maybe having us both up there, will scare the free loading friend to move out. I'm sorry, I am so hard on that guy, but my momma bear gets really protective of NY son. We are staying about 5 days then driving back down.

Well my friends, there was a chocolate fountain at tea time. It was what my mother would call a "bun fight"!!!!!!! Marshmallows and fruit to dip. I restrained myself and had one large strawberry and a piece of pineapple. The chocolate was too sweet, so I wasn't tempted to lick up the drippings. Nice of them to lay it on though.
Carol - Coming on a Saga cruise can only renew your determination to get fit. I liked Becca's quote today about not knowing people's story and I can see lots of disabilities, including MS and Parkinsons. Quite a few women have hugely swollen feet and ankles. Most people have mobility problems, some severe. 90% are overweight, even if mildly. Being on this forum I have a lot of insight into how hard it is for people to take control of their own health, but every day I am so grateful that somehow I found the will and strategy to lose that 58 lbs that was making me ill. I hope to keep at it as long as I possibly can. Never, never, never give up my friends!!!
I want to give a shout out for the guy, Resti, who organises the tour buses. He deals with a whole bunch of old people who are often confused, don't know what tour they are on and sometimes turn up on the wrong day. He handles it all, giving out numbered stickers morning after morning, with grace and humour. He is wildly camp and makes the whole experience enjoyable. I really appreciate professionalism and he has it in spades.

Hi all! I'm new to MFP and so glad to connect with other 50+ ladies on the same healthy living journey. Needed to do this for years but my motivation now is my son's wedding next May. Goal is to lose 50lbs by then.
I bounce around between the Phoenix area of AZ and Towson, Maryland where my hubby started a new job in March.
So glad to meet you all! Please feel free to add me as a friend!

mary sending positive thoughts toward dh's job.
Karen ((( )))) you all know how lucky I am to do what I love, I don't take it for granted and am determined to stay positive when faced with some "toxic" negative or burned out folks I encounter at work. For me, it is a choice I am privileged to have in my life.

Good morning!
Been up early taking DH's car to the shop, grocery shopping and getting car inspected for my tag renewal. Hate to put the $500+ into hubby's car but it will be mine if we spit so I guess it will be worth it either way.
Got the saddest news last night. My DDIL works as a volunteer on a community organization in her neighborhood. She and my son and others run the farmers' market there every Friday and she is the treasurer on the board. The man who was the president of the organization apparently committed suicide last night. They were all such good friends and I know that my grandson must be heartbroken. Please keep them and the community in your thoughts and prayers.
