So basically staying within calorie deficit but it's including my exercise calories...
Hard to say! Just hydrate with H20 and get back on track as soon as you can.1 -
I have a junk food hangover this morning. The couple of beers last night were fine. But when I was walking home from the bar, I stopped for Cheetos and chocolate. I should have skipped meeting up for drinks, stopped for a good dinner out, and gone to bed at 9.3

Met up with two friends last night and ended up having two glasses of wine. I hadn't planned to. It derailed my eating for the rest of the night. Wish I hadn't done it but it's done.
Counted the calories and am planning to abstain for the rest of the month and continue my once every two weeks in October.3 -

Honestly I often am dehydrated after drinking so I weigh less the day after. I don't drink beer so maybe that is different though.1 -

Just curious - do you think the right date would be bothered if you don't drink? Other posters have implied that drinking in some social contexts is so expected that they would feel some pressure to drink or at least to pretend to drink.
Not really but I guess it makes me more relaxed. I am not good at first dates. I had the second as I was feeling anxious. Should have just called it a night.1 -
I've been tracking my drinking for the past four years. And yesterday marked 60 days for me alcohol free. My records had been 55 days previously and 59 days. I had a few stints of 30 days in there as well. Previously, I would have had a goal in mind, and then would have gone out on day 60 or 61 and had my bottle of wine....but this time it's different. I'm not itching to go out and buy wine, because I'm still working on my weight loss and living a healthy lifestyle. For me personally and how I end up drinking, they don't mesh.
I will admit that it also helps that one of my drinking buddies and i are no longer friends anymore so I don't have her trying to convince me to drink
When I would drink, I would end up drinking a whole bottle of wine, and then eating a whole bunch of food afterwardsI mean what goes better with a bottle of wine than a large pizza, right? Not good for trying to lose weight. Of course, when I went out, I only have 2 or 3 glasses, but I would still go over on my calories.
I'm still trying to figure out when/if I will drink again. I'm really not sure. Right now, I'm content just drinking my water and eating within my calorie ranges or having occasional cheat days.
Still figuring things out for myself, but I am continuing to abstain for September and probably October as well!
It's nice to know I am not the only one out there trying to figure this out as well.

Chocolate with wine for me. With Strawberries, and 2 bottles sometimes.
Switching the drink choice for me helps. Vodka, Soda, lime juice is low in calories, so I will not go way over. And there are not a lot of foods that it goes with.1 -
so I had three glasses of wine last night...they were stingy pours so probably the same as the two I had on wednesday. My stomach is a mess today and feeling dehydrated. Back on the no drinking. I feel crappy. My weight also bumped up even though I stayed within my calories.1

Np.. I only get alcohol on my birthday and my brother drinks 3/4ths of it. I've got this!2

Hang in there!2 -
Is anyone else noticing better skin as a result of this? I think I look less weathered.2

I have skipped the alcohol several times in the past few years in order to drop weight, usually in January for a few months. Once I hit my goal, I added moderate alcohol back. I've always started gaining weight when I do that, leading me to have to start over the next year.
Due to circumstances, my wife and I are both off alcohol this time. (She stopped in August, I stopped on Sept.) As usual, I don't find it that hard, and I only think about it occasionally in passing. I'm grateful for that.
Since stopping, my weight has returned to my goal (I was up a couple of pounds) and I believe I'm more alert. Also, sometimes alcohol upsets my stomach when sleeping, and that's gone completely. All those are good payoffs.
I wish I felt more peppy in the morning. Without drinking, I have no excuse not to leap out of bed and seize each and every day. I can't report much of a difference in that regard. Sadly, still not a morning person.6 -

We are days away from the end of September people! Keep up the good work!1

I was sober for a year. Tried a little last summer. Immediately impacted my skin. So, I have been sober again for a year with no plans of drinking again.6

I had an uncomfortable dinner situation last night and had three glasses of wine rather than my goal of two or less. My eating was great at dinner. But back at home I binged a little, my first in a while. Maybe it's time to admit that the food choices I make after drinking will likely always be poor ones.5

Yesterday was a difficult day. One of my big triggers is tinkering in the garage. We moved this summer and I was building some racks to hang the rakes, shovels and other garden things. Cravings got really strong around 4pm. I had a good excuse to drive to the liquor store because I had to go to the Home Depot for screws. I actually sat in the car for a few minutes then decided to go to the gym instead to break the crave.
It worked. On to the the next day.

I had my drinking day yesterday which had been 3 weeks since I drank. I actually came in under my beer allowance and it wasn't really all that fun anyway and on top of that I didn't eat the mcdonalds I have planned after, I ate a fit and active flat bread with some turkey breast and salami and small bag of chips. Haha!!! Make it a great one everyone!6
