Or, even worse, "I can't loose weight"
Yes, this, "loose" weight drives me nuts.
I have some loose weight I'd like to lose!9 -
"Has anyone tried intermittent fasting"
The worst isn't a saying it's listing housework, yard work, shopping or something like walking for 10 minutes as a workout.12 -
I think there needs to be a mandatory "lurk before you post" period. Maybe two weeks where you can ONLY read and not post.20
-
"I wash my food before I eat it haha" and any variation of on clean eating.7
-
Or wanting to do a cleanse to "clean my liver"
Ummm, excuse me? I thought that lemon cayenne hot water went through the stomach, not the liver?4 -
Not really 1 phrase, but "all the whining" and excuses. I have this, or I'm on that, or I can't work out. Good lord people. Get a grip. There's a way around EVERYTHING if you want it bad enough.
Like Michael Jordan and Nike said years a go "Just Do It".9 -
"Why is everyone on MFP so meeeeaaaannnnnnnn"
When all people are doing is trying to explain why cleansing/juicing/ACV etc etc is not going to magically make you lose weight.11 -
'this morning I weighted x pounds'. Particularly if followed by 'but then after dinner wearing all my closed I was up 0.03 lbs!!!'10
-
And 'weight loss is not linear'. It's true, but there must be others ways to say that instead of repeating the same 5 words every day.12

Sure...but then it would be a longer and even more annoying babble of words...7 -
"'Loosing' inches, but not weight."
Isn't this preferable?!?11 -
Mileage may vary...YMMV/MMV.
I have typed this many times myself, admittedly.
Sometimes it feels like a way to avoid the twenty posts debating that whatever is working for one person isn't going to work for the next person.3 -

"MFP makes your calorie allowance too low"
THE POINT IS YOU EXERCISE TO GET MORE FOOD YOU TWIT9 -
Loving all the replies and I am actively agreeing with each and every one.
It's not hard to spot all the MFP veterans ... maybe we should start our own group and be choosy about who can join LOL...of course then we'd have no-one to be 'mean' to.... nah maybe that's not such a good idea after all7 -
I've harped on this one before: "for weight loss." A popular variants is "to lose weight".
As in, "What foods are good for weight loss?" Or, "What exercises should I do for weight loss?"2 -
What annoys me the most is people posting "what don't you like about____" rather than posting positive thoughts, such as "what do you like best about___." Just sayin'.6
-
Thread titles that say things like "Please help!!"
"I can't possibly eat all 1200 calories every day" - said by someone with 100+ pounds to lose.
Sure princess. You've never eaten that much in your life.28 -
*kitten*
Most annoying word ever.
13 -
"Muscle weighs more than fat".... Just, NO . A pound is a pound. Muscle is denser, therefore takes up less space....10

*kitten*
Most annoying word ever.
Ok, I'll tell the story on myself. When I first started reading the MFP boards I must have missed the *kitten* memo about kitten because I was so *kitten* confused. I figured I'm old, out of it and seriously need to call up one of my youthful nieces to explain the meaning of kitten because it seemed to change all over the place.
Then it *kitten* hit me. I was so *kitten* *kitten* slow.14 -

Ive been lurking for a month or so and am still slow, what does it mean please? Is it just a way of not swearing??4 -
"Are there any other...." for things that are really common.
I mean, sure, if you're asking if there are any other people living in Puyuallup who work as legal secretaries who shop at Krogers, maybe that's a legit way to start a post, but when the question is "Are there any other mummies/people over 30/women/men/human life forms?" the question gets my goat.
I know it's irrational, but yeah.12 -

It's what the MFP auto-filter changes swears to. It used to just be ******* but they changed it for April Fools and never changed it back.
Actually, that's a lie - they changed it for the next April Fools, the cucumber I believe, but changed it back to kitten after. I think they think its cute.2 -
"I care what I put in my body."2

Asparagus...
I agree with your "are there any other..." Agree there's no real rationale for it to be bothersome. But I just think, no, no one here has ever done keto/paleo/low carb/vegan, no mother or fathers here, no one who has more than 10lbs to lose, no one who has been successful (with or without exercise), no one with medical conditions, mental health concerns, etc. Not an *asparagus* one of us.6 -
I can't believe no one mentioned "I am doing (insert stupid fad here) as a way to jump start my diet"6
