It's about the daily seemingly unimportant decisions. But consistently making them everyday is what leads to results. I love the way I feel at night & the next morning after having stayed on track.

================================================Can anyone tell me how I can go into my previous post so I can add today's weight@texasfarmer the way I do it is I go back to my last post and quote it. Then I remove the quote brackets from the beginning and end of your post and edit the last post. Also, If you type your name in the post somewhere it's easy to find the last one with the search feature (magnifying glass).
Also, if you only check in once a day you can just scroll back a couple of posts and your post will be there.
Others cut and paste it and save it on the notepad on their phone and just edit and copy it into the thread from there. I hope this helps, this ends up being a big thread.7 -

Last round again reinforced to me how important it is to not stress out over temporary daily upward fluctuations. For this round I will continue working on my hydration and stretching.
Day/Weight/Comment
10/20--222.6 Normal fluctuation either due to the 2 handfuls of mini peppermint patties I had yesterday, even though I had already eaten my calories for the day, or water retention from finishing up another day of C25K that I completed in the rain last night. Either way, I'll take it.

If my weight is not different significantly (under a pound?) my scale will read the same number day after day too. I trick it. I either get my husband to weigh or I step in the scale with our change jar that weighs about 10 pounds. Then I put down the change and re-weigh myself. Voila! New number. Cause I know I ratrely weigh exactly the same when my scale goes to the tenths.
bwahahaha I do that too, but usually with my 20lb dog who has come to expect it lately.

DAY || WEIGHT - COMMENT AND GOALS- 10/20 || 62,9 kg (138,6 lbs) – Very happy to see that number! I didn’t eat that much yesterday and didn’t binge either. I might need to lower my goal though if tomorrow is around the same number, because else there will not really be a “challenge”. Walked a lot today, went shopping, tried to put the last stressful couple of days off of me. I did have a McDonald’s again, but didn’t go for a burger and went for some Chicken McNuggets to save myself some calories. Hopefully my plan somewhat worked, we’ll see tomorrow! For some reason, my Fitbit didn’t record any active minutes today, but considering I walked quite a lot, I’m just going to give myself 25 minutes. [ 1,5L | 25 min ]

First timer here! New to myfitness as well. I have been on a weight roller coaster this year, and hate the way I look now. 10 years ago I was 169lbs, hated it, got energized, found a plan that worked and stuck to it (mostly). I was able to get my weight down to 135lbs (give or take a couple of pounds). This year has been tough with lots of family and work stress. No motivation, then I do, then I don't. My current weight is 157 lbs. My goal is to get back to where I was happy and to fit those clothes again. I will settle for 140lbs.

Happy to be here for my 5th round. Thanks to all of you for being here, too. It helps so much to know we're not alone and to realize that all those "lost 2-5 pounds a week for umpteen weeks" ads are not the norm. More like verbal airbrushing! Half a pound lost per month is not just that much lost, but more than that not gained!

I thought I'd mention something that helps me a lot with daily fluctuations on the scale... The Happy Scale app tracks weights and provides a running average, which is a more accurate reflection of our journeys than the ups and down we see day to day. Just google Happy Scale. It's free and easy.5

I was having trouble staying down around 1500 calories as my activity naturally increases as I weigh less so I have set my calories back at the more comfortable level of 1550, which is closer to the TDEE of a lightly active woman of my age at goal weight. Arguably, if I keep being more active I will continue to lose weight until I am approaching a normal BMI.
Also, since I already gained from traveling and it’s getting colder where the scale is, I’m biting the bullet and weighing in jeans & t-shirt rather than my birthday suit.

@cyranda63 Welcome back!
I HAVE the power and determination to do this.
Here I am back to try once more to shift my last few pounds.to all the Newbies, and Hi to those returning for another Round. This has got me back on track big time!
Observations, and Previous RoundsMany events along the way will scupper our best intentions, but they merely delay the achievement of our goals. Life is for living, and one must learn patience. It takes many years to put on excess weight, so It follows that it takes much time to remove, but it is coming off, bit by stubborn bit! Stick with it! The game continues!
A lot of people get upset by apparent weight gain when they have been working their butts off. Body weight fluctuates, both up, and down, from one day to the next depending on so many factors. From my experience:- Changes often take several days to show on the scale.
- A drop is often followed by a bounce up before it settles back down. A general downward trend is the aim.
- A high sodium day usually results in a gain due to water retention, unless you drink extra fluids to flush it out.
If you are making positive lifestyle changes it will lead to increased health and fitness.
Slow and steady leads to sustainable weight loss.
But remember to live a little along the way!
