Take some time to do stretches every day, it helps over time. Chin tucks helped me a lot with pinched nerves.

Thank you, @Spliner1969. I also spent some time in my BFF’s hot tub letting the jets pound on it and that seems to have made a difference.2

I do mine as part of a cool down (haha) from my circuit training workout. So I just log it as part of that workout; basically I just keep my app going during my planks. But if you want to log them separately I'd probably create a custom exercise for it under strength training. They don't burn a ton of calories, hardly any at all. I do mine in sections, for instance I'll do my usual circuit training for an hour, then the last half hour or so I'll hit the floor for core work. I'll start with crunches, wipers, then side crunches, leg lifts, etc. then transition into a 4 minute plank. Once that's done I'll do some quick stretches, more crunches, and hit another 4 minute plank. Then I'll go back and do crunches, wipers, leg lifts, side crunches, then do my last 2 minutes of planks. Once all that is done (approximately 30 minutes) I've managed to do 10 minutes worth of planks.3 -
