1/5/18 - 209.5 - good drop from that spike. Reworking my calorie targets.
1/12/18 - 209 - Not the worst news. Ok, body - I'm patient - but seriously, let's shed some pounds.
1/19/18 - 215 today - Arrggghhhh! So frustrating. I think I need to lower my calorie targets.
1/26/18 - 208.5 today. The trend is downward. YAY! Adjusted calorie target to 2000 per day. Hopefully that is the right number. Onward to Onederland!
2/2/18 - 209 More arrggghhhh! Two more weeks like this and I will adjust calories. It seems like 2000 is maintenance level for me.
2/9/18 - 210.5 - Looking like a plateau from here.
2/23/18 - 212.5 after vacay. Back to the deficit grind!

My goal is to lose one pound a week. I’ve been eating pretty close to my caloric goals every week, but I’ve been losing around two pounds a week for the last two weeks. Could it be because I’ve been eating very clean (lots of veggies and protein)?0 -

It’s taken me longer than expected to get down to this but there is definitely progress so I have to focus on that instead. I knew this wasn’t going to be easy and I find myself saying, 20 lbs is good, but why... so I can quit now and gain it all back?? I have to remember that this is a lifestyle change, not just a plan to look good for summer and I’m over half way there. My kids are getting older and I’ve neglected myself for too many years to get this far and turn back now... even if it is hard and ice cream season is just around the corner!1 -

January 6: 139--11 lbs as of today...24 lbs. to go...almost half way there...
January 18: 137--13 LBS. lost with 22 LBS. to go....

January 21: 133---18 lbs. to go- 17 lbs. lost. I have been on a cleanse and it is great!
January 23: 132--17 lbs. to go- 18 lbs. lost.

January 26: 130--15 lbs. to go--20 lbs. lost.
January 28: 128--13 lbs. to go--22 lbs. lost. So nice to be in the 120's. YAY! Bought a new Inversion table for my reward!!

March 30; 115 YAY!! I hit my goal of 115! ****************************************************************************************************I lost 35 lbs. and now I am going to make my goal to 112 lbs. so I have a 3 lb. buffer. That way it will take care of fluctuations. Thank you MFP in helping me get back my ideal weight.
April 10; 114 for 3 days, but back at 115...slower progress, but fine for me....it takes awhile for the body to adjust.2 -
Question: for those of you that started at a high weight like me (I'm 273 right now), did you go by the calories that MFP gave it did you do less? I was trying to keep my calories at around 1100-1200 (MFP gives me 1400 a day) but my weight has pretty much been stuck the past 2 weeks. I read online that I may not be eating enough... Question: for those of you that started at a high weight like me (I'm 273 right now), did you go by the calories that MFP gave it did you do less? I was trying to keep my calories at around 1100-1200 (MFP gives me 1400 a day) but my weight has pretty much been stuck the past 2 weeks. I read online that I may not be eating enough... Anyone with experience in this??

I found it easier to stay on plan with more calories. I did a diet break after losing 40 pounds. Working now on getting the losses started again.

I will join this thread because I wanted to reach my goal by June. This way it makes me more accountable. I will come back each time I lose weight and at the first of the month. Best of luck, happiness, and blessings for the new year for everyone here!
My goal is around 115 lbs.
December 1: 150
January 6: 139--11 lbs as of today...24 lbs. to go...almost half way there...
January 18: 137--13 LBS. lost with 22 LBS. to go....
January 20: 136--21 lbs. to go- 14 lbs. lost
January 21: 133---18 lbs. to go- 17 lbs. lost. I have been on a cleanse and it is great!
January 23: 132--17 lbs. to go- 18 lbs. lost.
January 25: 131--16 lbs. to go--19 lbs. lost.
January 26: 130--15 lbs. to go--20 lbs. lost.
January 28: 128--13 lbs. to go--22 lbs. lost. So nice to be in the 120's. YAY! Bought a new Inversion table for my reward!!
February 3: 127--12 lbs. to go--23 lbs. lost. Just received my inversion table and will put it up today.
February 10: 126--11 lbs. to go--24 lbs. lost. Love my new gym dvd's and workout machines!
February 20; 124--9 lbs. to go--26 lbs. lost so far.
March 2: 121--6 lbs. to go--29 lbs. lost so far! YAY! Bought a new pocket guitar and a Shredneck guitar to practice guitar more on the go! My rewards!!
March 5: 120---YAY!! haven't been this weight in years! Getting my self back!!
March 16; 119---Wow! and so looking forward to 115 again...It took 11 days to lose this...hanging in there and working at it though...

April 19; 113...YAY!! One more pound and then have to figure out my maintenance. I also have to get some muscles built as I noticed I still need to firm up more. Adding more muscle usually gains a little weight also, so will be interesting how this all goes.

12/29 - 214 Huge scale spike from this diet break. Restart the calorie restriction on Jan. 4th. Hoping the woosh is just as impressive.
1/5/18 - 209.5 - good drop from that spike. Reworking my calorie targets.
1/12/18 - 209 - Not the worst news. Ok, body - I'm patient - but seriously, let's shed some pounds.
1/19/18 - 215 today - Arrggghhhh! So frustrating. I think I need to lower my calorie targets.
1/26/18 - 208.5 today. The trend is downward. YAY! Adjusted calorie target to 2000 per day. Hopefully that is the right number. Onward to Onederland!
2/2/18 - 209 More arrggghhhh! Two more weeks like this and I will adjust calories. It seems like 2000 is maintenance level for me.
2/9/18 - 210.5 - Looking like a plateau from here.
2/23/18 - 212.5 after vacay. Back to the deficit grind!
3/2/18 - 208.5 - YAY! Have adjusted calories to 1800 for weekdays and 2500 refeed days for weekends. Let's see if that will work.
3/9/18 - 206 - another YAY! Aiming for a new low (sub 203) by the end of this month.
3/16/18 - 208 - could be worse, but this is getting old. Was hoping to see more steady (albeit slow) progress downward.
3/23/18 - 205.5 - Okiedokey. Slow and steady loss. Real slooooow! HAHA!
3/30/18 - 204.5 - Progress. That's one pound per week over the last four weeks.
4/6/18 - 205.5 - I can live with that. Feel great with plenty of energy for workouts.
4/13/18 - 208.5 - Took a road trip this week. Missed a workout and drank some extra calories. The good news - I am maintaining in the 205-209 range for six weeks now.
4/20/18 - 204 this morning! YAY! Let's keep this rolling, body!1 -
