I have 2 thanksgiving meals to go to this round and my cousin's wedding, so my goal is to maintain the same average weight this round as last round.

11/19: 119.8- This is a jump up of a lb from yesterday, but I'm really feeling my strength workout from yesterday so I think that is contributing a bit to the increase.
11/20: 120.4- Eating wasn't great yesterday as I bought my nemesis, tortilla chips, at the store.

11/19: 217.3lbs - I did fairly well today. Ate decently and tracked all day. I'm hoping it pays off.
11/20: 215.8lbs - Woo! That's good to see. I ate way more cheez-its today than I should have... So I'm not sure I'll see much progress tomorrow. But I was fairly active, and I cooked a healthy dinner that will have left overs, so I'm hoping that'll help.

11/19 - 146.2 /It's been a rough few days. Today was also not great in terms of food. It's all these social events that are happening. Tomorrow will be a good day. Tuesday is a work happy hour. Wednesday should be good. And then...Thanksgiving.
11/20 - 145.6 /Hopefully, I can make my way down again, even with Thanksgiving and such. Ate well today. Feeling bloated and moody in anticipation of TOM.

11/19 I overdid it yesterday and the expected hobbling pain came and I still hustled around moving boxes and furniture. I bought a candy apple based on the memory of enjoying them, but honestly, I only really enjoyed the green apple part. So I have added a new goal to this round: honour my authentic self. I am the girl who likes the green apple & I don’t need to eat/do/act in ways that do not align with who I am.

I’ve done a few of these challenges now and not managed to lose anything. On the plus side I’ve not put on either - so that’s a win for me. I’m going to really focus this time round. My goal will have to be maintenance because I’m away with friends next weekend. Here goes!

11/20 - 60.0 - ran 7km on the treadmill yesterday, so all good. Ate a little bit of bread and too much cheese, but all in all was a good day. Hopefully tomorrow will go under 60 again!
11/21 - 59.8 - hello 59! Good dieting yesterday! No sweets, healthy eating all day.

I HAVE the power and determination to do this.

Change in focus. In the normal range for my age height and build, on maintenance.

New Primary Goal - 160lbs +/- 2lbs.
I was ill most of Round 22, but achieved my goal.

Of course, losing a pound a Round would be ace, as I would like a cushion for celebrations.

to all the Newbies, and Hi to those returning for another Round. This has given me an element of daily accountability which is motivational.

Observations, and Previous Rounds

Many events along the way will scupper our best intentions, but they merely delay the achievement of our goals. Life is for living, and one must learn patience. It takes many years to put on excess weight, so It follows that it takes much time to remove, but it does come off, bit by stubborn bit! If you stick with it! The game continues!

A lot of people get upset by apparent weight gain when they have been working their butts off. Body weight fluctuates, both up, and down, from one day to the next depending on so many factors. From my experience:

• Changes often take several days to show on the scale.
• A drop is often followed by a bounce up before it settles back down. A general downward trend is the aim.
• A high sodium day usually results in a gain due to water retention, unless you drink extra fluids to flush it out.

Don't beat yourself up over a temporary gain. Trust the process and stick with the programme.
If you are making positive lifestyle changes it will lead to increased health and fitness.
Slow and steady leads to sustainable weight loss.
But remember to live a little along the way!

Terri, They are my stepdaughters favourite and were on sale!... so after simmering them until they were tender I slow baked them brushing with homemade rib sauce every time they dried enough to get sticky. In the end they were finger licking fall off the bone delicious and I had two pretty big ones. After all day smelling them cooking they were glorious. I would have had more in a previous life, this was definitely a win. It's not about eliminating foods you love from your meal plan, it's about portion control. NSV for me.

I don't simmer them, but also have a homemade sauce for slow roasting which makes the meat drop of the bones. A definite treat for high days and holidays. I serve with garlic bread and roast veg. Portion control is the key these days.

11/19 145.70 - only 0.1lb down but happy as its the weekend

11/20 145.80 - that 0.1lb has gone back on again but really happy as it means that I have effectively maintained over the weekend which is always a big thing! I know its wasn't fat gain but often used to "gain" 2-3 lb over a weekend so a good start for me for R23

11/21 146.00 minimal 0.2 lb on - don't know why as drank usual amount of water, did my 12 mile cycle ride, ate within my calories. But I am effectively maintaining which after my losses in the last round which were so much more than I thought, I am happy with. I am still 5.4 lbs down from where I was two weeks ago - yay!!! Non scale victory today though - put on a pair of trousers for work I haven't worn for a few weeks and they were so much looser so whatever the scale says today I have definitely lost inches so all good!!! Good food day planned and 1hr PT session tonight

18/11 - 194.2 - R22 showed a change in my hair loss, its stopped falling out,so yay!!!! .... so now I am looking, over the next few months, to see some new hair growth (she says hopefully) , as such I am happy if I simply don't gain weight at the moment, My cals are higher (over 1650 avg per day) , although not quite as high as maintenance, (1930 avg per day) so I should still lose (all be it very slowly) but I really don't mind how slow.
