See, I read the stickies before I started posting. Figured they were there for a reason and all that.
I search past posts before I post a new thread. I know I'm a weirdo and I'm proud of it!
I read stickies too. Hell I read EVERYTHING all of the times.
And I don’t think I’ve seen but a few Thank You threads outside of success stories. Figured it was due.
Nope, that definitely wasn't aimed at you or this thread! Actually, it was in my head because earlier this morning I thought about posting a question in the fitness forum about what shoes to use for circuit training, then I searched and found several on-point threads so I didn't.3 -

Thank you for posting a thank you thread
I'm actually serious. I like this thread.

I didn’t think it was aimed at me, my pal.
And you’re welcome TackleWasher, it’s turning out better than I expected.1 -

There are a lot of them but I'm specifically thinking about @Aaron_K123
And I do like that mis-information gets called out very quickly here. When first starting, I was worried this site would just repeat Dr. Oz or Oprah and was very happy to see it is much more science based.
For the most part, I like it here. Just dreading Jan 1 again.
Well dang...thank you, that means a lot. The secret to level headed posts is walking away before you lose your cool. I try, but id be lying if i said i hadn't lost it on someone here before lol.6 -

I'm deeply grateful that people like you, @Aaron_K123, soldier on patiently (mostly), sharing true knowledge and expertise in your field. Also people like @Azdak, @heybales, @ninerbuff, @SideSteel, @Nony_Mouse, @tomteboda, @CSARdiver - and so many others I'm forgetting - who have deep knowledge in particular domains, and generously/patiently share it here. I've learned so much, and benefitted immeasurably.

Aw, thank you Ann. I am likewise deeply grateful for you.

@Good_Morning_Glory, thank you for this thread.
Too many names to name, so many people I follow around the forums like a little puppy to see what their response to things is.
I was I guess lucky in that I came to MFP woo-free, but thank you to all of those who have inspired me to scratch well below the surface and into the science of weight loss, fitness and nutrition. Particularly I'd like to thank @anubis609 for bringing the hard core science to my little Refeeds thread. I was sure that thing was going to die a quiet death within its first day when I wrote that first post, and I'm equally sure it would have if Anubis hadn't brought the science and also done wonderful summaries of things for us. And to all the other contributors to that thread as well.5 -
Wow this is GREAT, I thought it was just ME stalking the forums and liking the smart posts that make rational sense and admiring the persistent posters that show up and tell the (unpopular, sometimes unpleasant) truth on here. I see names and profile pics above of some people who have helped me a ton, all without knowing I even exist
Love this gratitude thread, and piling on with thanks!4 -
I started and then almost decided to remove this whole post because there are quite a few people, including the many currently active posters who make this place interesting, whom I would like to mention But, if I did, then I would be tempted to keep on mentioning more and more of you!
So I am going back to the stickies I read in November 2015 once I realized that the way I was losing weight based on "common knowledge" was just not sustainable and I joined MFP at the suggestion of a friend who was experimenting with recording her calories in another app.
@SideSteel for some of the first stickies I read together with @Azdak and @Heybales for insight and @usmcmp for inspiration.
A special mention has to go to the now SilencedRabbitjp! How can she have almost double the "Likes" and "Awesomes" that I have, yet she pretty much stopped posting a few months after "reactions" were first introduced?!5 -
This place has truly helped me get through the "all or nothing" mentality. "Oh, I had a brownie today. Now the day is ruined."
No such thing!!!!!6 -

Thank you. Ditto to it is nice to see a thread like this, and it is meaningful.
And I've always kept in mind the lurkers that benefit even when the details may go a tad beyond what the OP was specifically looking for.
Almost feel bad about a couple recent posts where I was first reply and suggested how easy the search button was.
Almost.5 -
Hey there @heybales
You help me out (from the sidelines) all the time!!! Especially regarding exercise calories and Fitbit!
