When I gain weight I go quiet in my challenges. I'm going to try not to do that this time.
I am the same. If we lose fat we want to shout from the roof tops. Gain and the silence is deafening :/

    Start date: 7 Jan
    Start weight: 79kgs
    Goal weight: 65kgs
    Current weight: 78kgs
    Loss: 1kg
Success: lost a bit of the Xmas blubber. I cycled over 100kms during the week
Challenges: staying within my calorie limit. After so much exercise, I pigged out on junk on 3occasions. Finding it hard to get the balance right.

I keep forgetting to drink water. Yesterday I made a real effort I drink about 3 or 4 litres of water (summer here. Temperature in the 90's in your scale (38 deg C). I sweated a lot and amazingly I was .2 kg down in one day. It also helped me control my appetite.

I'm just battling to still lose 2kgs gained over Christmas. Man, how easy does it come back on? It just shows you that even maintenance requires effort and diligence.

    Have a great week everyone.

A little motivation for a Sunday morning:

This is a journey. We will get off track sometimes; we will lose our way but as long as we stay focused on that end goal, we will overcome. We will be fitter, stronger and far more healthy than we were on 1st January.
The journey of 1000 miles begins with the first step. Good luck everyone

The weekend is a bit of a rest from more intense workouts.
Saturday is some beginner Yoga and a longish walk (distance / time determined by what's for dinner).
Sunday is just a leisurely walk, so I've made it veggie day to keep the calories low, nutrients high and filling enough with fiber & water. Unsweetened hot teas are also very helpful for feeling satisfied, getting more water and some phytonutrients.
My body feels happy and energetic. :)
