Well my husband texted me to ask me what has been bothering me, so I told him. He's apologized and told me he was planning on something else for me, he just had been waiting for me to say I was going to do it so he could surprise me by paying for it. I still asked him why he didn't get me a card. He said he thought it wasn't necessary since he was part of the surprise and told me Happy Birthday. He then said I should have married someone more sentimental... I reminded him I did and that I have a box full of cards and poems he's written that I reread every year or so. I bet he doesn't decide to forgo a card next year.

Not to be a Pollyanna...Oh, what the heck, just call me Pollyanna... but I'm so glad he took the initiative to text you and open the doors of communication!!! No blow ups. You will get your shelf put up. You won't overeat because you are so dang angry. And when you go home tonight y'all can make googly eyes with each other ;)

Your reminding him of how romantic or sentimental he used to be was great...and if you'd rather have something like that over a material gift tell him now so he has a year to get his prose and poems back in shape!!! Can't way to see what he does for you next year!

Thanks Pollyanna - I can't wait to see what he does either, but I bet I'll at least get a card LOL I should have just said something to him last week instead of letting myself get so angry. It's done now and over with. I feel better already.

Didn't really achieve my goals yesterday. You know when you're so busy and you've got so much going on you can't even think about goals?
Well that's fair enough but it's going to get me nowhere. I want a set of foundation goals that I achieve daily but more importantly goals that become second nature, I don't want to have to think about them, I want them to be as mindless as me brushing my teeth in the morning.

So my base goals (to start with) are going to be water and accurate logging.

So yesterday I actually logged accurately! I only drank half the amount of water I should have though.
So today it's time to pick that up, keep logging and drink more!

I was also in the green yesterday which is just an added bonus at this moment in time. My base goals are accurate logging regardless of the outcome.

So I logged accurately yesterday. It's possible I drank 8 glasses of water but I can only remember 6, still more than the day before, so today I'm going for the whole 8! I know I can because I've done it plenty of times before!

Also in the green again so bonus!

    So same again today
    - 8 glasses of water
    - Accurate Logging (including walking time today, it's shopping day so there will be lots of pram pushing and baby carrying! But also we're having lunch out! So need to be wary and try counteract the lunch!)

Meh my partner and I actually spent most the day bickering. So it lunch was just a quick coffee and a croissant before we did the main shop. Not as much walking as I thought. We were both just having a bad day I think.
    But I've logged accurately.
I've decided that everyday I should do a quick add of 100 calories just to account for the little nibbles I have when feeding Casey LOL.
She had pasta for the first time today well a homemade one. It was just spaghetti with a little tomato and basil sauce with a bit of cheese and I just used some scissors to chop it up finely! She loved it :)
Getting a bit more used to what she's capable with. Not sure when to try her with some toast? She only had 2 tiny teeth at the bottom. Which are only just about through.

So overall, I've logged accurately, I have done appallingly with the water (only 1!) and I've got a headache to show for it.
And I didn't log the walking because A) I didn't check how long I was walking and B.) it wasn't very long anyway.

I may add my cleaning up tonight though.
I've not done an exercise video in WEEKS. but I'm starting to get the feeling of wanting too. So I'm just gonna keep doing what in doing for now and getting the logging and water down and then slowly get exercise in. It's nice not having the pressure of *needing* to exercise because I've gone over. And I'm gonna take baby steps to getting a full routine back.

I also need to work on a school routine.

I'm finding that when they get back so 3.30pm I have a lot of lost time where I don't know what I'm doing. But I seem to be busy.
I need snack idea for kids so as soon as they get back its already ready before they can ask. And I need to spend maybe just 20 minutes each night going over the work she's done that day and her reading activities.
So I'm welcoming any words of wisdom there lol

How'd You Do? Did you exercise? Did you log your food? Did you drink 6-666 cups of water? Did you have positive thoughts? Did you Sacrifice Something Good so That You Can Have Something Better?

    There are

until Thanksgiving. Let's make the most of it. Let's push ourselves. Let's be amazing!

I exercised, drank 6 cups water, quit eating by 8:10, logged all my food and did not overeat. I did not lose weight but I am not despairing as I know I did what I set out to do. The weight will come off :)

    Peace and joy!

Extremely stressful day at work. HR really messed up my paycheck and when I asked why a large portion of my check was missing, HR lady claimed I hadn’t filled out all of my timesheet and due to my error I wouldn’t be fully reimbursed for my hours (it’s more complex than that but that’s the gist). Money is a huge stressor for me. I have mountains of student debt so finances are a big thing. I ended up talking with my direct supervisor and then the director of my organization and they both said it was phooey and I would get fully paid for all of my hours...on the next paycheck. Puts me in a tight spot financially for a few weeks but happy I’m being paid what I worked for. So I’m pretty drained emotionally tonight. Anywho thanks for *listening* as always.

    For today:
    30 minutes exercise ✅
    Track food and exercise ✅
    5 good groups ✅
    Water challenge ✅
Gratitude: today I am thankful for people who have my back
Sleep log: bed at 10:30, up at 7 :(
    Post here for accountability ✅

    For tomorrow:
    Be kind to myself
    1 act of self-care
    30 minutes exercise
    Track food and exercise
    5 good groups
    Water challenge-80 oz.
    Daily gratitude
    Sleep log
    Post here for accountability

    I would go ballistic.
    Surely they can't do that?

Ask them if they're going to pay your bills this month and you will reimburse them next month. See what they think then about waiting till the next pay check!

    Goals for Friday!

    - 8 glasses of water
    - Be in the green
    - log the snacks I had last night (naughty me)
    - groom the rabbit (attempt 12) don't know why he won't let me do it lol! I've done about half of him but his back end still has lots of loose hair that needs to come out!

Yikes my "snack" last night was just under 500 cals!
I've logged it all in today's diary as it was at like 2-3am.
But I walked to school today so burnt a little there. But still left with around 950 for the day so I best be careful!

    Hi all

At the hospital with my sister today. I stayed at the boyfriend’s last night as he lives nearby. Ate KFC and an embarrassing amount of chocolate and have already snacked a bit this morning but I just don’t care today. Got in a good hour long walk here this morning and will try and keep moving while waiting today but wil just eat whatever is easiest today and not stress about calories. One or two days really don’t matter in the big scheme of things!

    Thursday goals recap
    - morning workout ✅
    - Pack clothes for Friday ✅
    - Portion and freeze food ✅
    - Get all planning done ✅ and printed
    - home on time to see girls
    - drive to bf to stay over (his place is near the hospital) ✅
    - Early night (have to meet my sister at the hospital at 7:30) ❎ too busy eating chocolate!

    Friday goals
    - morning walk ✅
    - Walk while sister has operation (get some fresh air)
    - Call S later to check P ok sleeping over
    - Confirm girls’ pick up arrangements
    - Sort out where to stay tonight

Have a good day all x

Oh if I were you I wouldn't care about calories either. Just grab what you can, whatever is easy.
All the best for your sister, and for you too!

    Xxxx
