100,000 Pushups in 2018

Welcome, welcome! A few things to consider:
1. If you aren't used to doing a lot of pushups already, don't immediately start at 289. Start slower, let your body adapt.
2. Make sure you give yourself days off to rest and recover. No, doing pushups is not as demanding as running a marathon or hitting the iron, but the sheer repetitive motion aspect needs regular down time to not wear out joints, especially elbows and shoulders. This means the days you do the pushups will need to be higher to make up for the days you don't. (That's why I typically do 500+ on days I work shift, and zero on days I don't.)
3. Space your pushups out however you need. I typically do a set at the top and bottom of every hour, small sets I can finish easily. For example, I can do 90+ in a single set, but I don't go above 50 in my "working" sets. Even just sets of 10 if done many times throughout the day can add up. A set while waiting for the shower water to heat up... a set during commercial breaks...
