Janetr, OMG! Mia is too cute for words! What a lucky GG you are!
Becca, great score at the food bank! I think if it were me, I would layer with parchment paper as opposed to plastic wrap. The parchment paper doesn't "shred" like the plastic wrap seems to and I have found it easier to take the stuff apart. But if all you've got is plastic, well, you gotta go with what you got!
Susan, as we get older, it definitely is harder to lose the weight. I read a funny poster that said something along the lines of "of course it's harder to lose weight when you get older, your body and your fat are good friends by now!" But seriously, our metabolisms slow down and as we age it seems we seem to slow down a bit. Well, some of us do anyway, there are many ladies on here who would make a liar out of me! But I know that I've had to work harder and make more of an effort to move more in order to get the scale heading in the right direction. Welcome, this is a great bunch of ladies!
Well, I ended up sweeping salt after all. The guy finally did show up. Mixed blessing! But at least we are covered for liability issues. And now of course, the sun is shining, the sky is blue and everything is melting. It's really quite pleasant out! Oh well, it did get me outside and moving for awhile, so it's all good.
Hope everyone has a good day!

JanetR - Mia is adorable. They grow up so fast but we wouldn’t want it any other way. You have lots of great ideas for eggs but don’t overwork yourself. You’re retired, right?
Kay - I am a Lifetime WW member who is a few pounds over my goal, actually more than a few 7. I also lost on WW and can work the programs but when I got over my goal I hated to have to pay every week when I already knew all the information.
Mary - checked out the kettle bells at the Y. They have all weights. Talked to trainer and he said he will try to find me a beginner program because I have to be careful with my neck.
Sun in finally out, first time since last Monday. Off for a quick walk.

SueBDew in TX - thank you. Yes I retired before I was 62, one day after lunch I had had it. Called Jack, he said pack up and come home and I did. Lol
We too finally had sunshine today. Hooray

Laura- Love your little princesses! Adorable! So...which princess did you dress up as?
Janet- Mia!
Horsehair jewelry- I found a few pics of her jewelry on her now defunct facebook page, Designs of Grace (the cover photo is a horse). Here are a few:

She has earrings, more bracelets and necklaces posted on that site. I think they are stunning and she is so talented. She just had to stop until her kids are a bit older and her presence isn't required in their lives quite as much. (They are all involved in sports/band/etc.)
ttfn see you all in the morning! xoxoxo KJ5 -
OK my spinach nests are done, with rice on top
I threw out 1/2 of my spinach bag because when I had it out on the balcony last night, something opened the lower corner of the bag, and that freaked me out! But I got 6 servings of both the sautéed spinach (4 cups per serving) and 1/2 cup each of rice.
The squash was yucky, so that went out! Slimy squash no thanks, creamy squash yes please!
I am vacuuming! Everyone stop and take notice!!! I put Pine Sol in water, and put socks on my hands and wiped stuff down. The baseboards, lamps, cords. I beat on the sofa cushions, (that's fun), and husband sang inappropriate songs to me....
OK, time to clean more!
Hugs my tribe!

KJ, I luv the horse hair jewelry. It’s too bad she had to stop but kids come first.
Pip, that picture isn’t priceless.
Becca, good for you cleaning. I was supposed to today too but never got around to it. Maybe tomorrow.
Turned colder but still in the 30s and 40s so can’t complain. Even let the cat out for a while.
Well I’m beat so I’ll close for today.
Hugs, Terry9 -
Gorgeous grands Laura, and Heather, and Mia's such a sweetheart, Janet! Figured I'd share mine while we were at it. Mom took 'em out for some picture taking today. She's a good photographer...

I have been very pleased that I was able to watch all the figure skating in the Olympics. Today I realized how many things in my life had been put "on hold" while I did that--scanning photos, strength training, household bookkeeping, watching TV with Jake, extra walking. It was fun and I'll never regret the time I spent on that fun activity, but today I got back to doing the things that had been left undone. In spite of what anyone says, you really can't do it all. It is good for me to have frequent reminders of that.

Evelyn - which do you think would be better when separating frozen food -- wax paper or parchment paper?

Loved all the pics.

welcome @sashaspiegel
Competitive sailing. How exciting. I'd love to try sailing someday but for now I'll stick with under the water sports instead of on top of the water sports.
I have to admit that when I hear the name Sasha I immediately go to Alexander or Alexandria but I'm probably the rarity there.

This speaks volumes to me! I'm thinking of writing it on my seasonal tree/4 canvass painting. The one with either paint swirls or buttons. Something to hang in my dining room (in Whidbey island).

Yep tomorrow is part 2 of my cleaning! Thank goodness all my floors are small enough I can throw down a hot dishrag w/ Pinesol and use my foot to do that dance!
I might make oatmeal cookies, it depends on my mood!
Love all the cute pics!

Love the kiddo pictures! Oh, Mia, what a beauty you are. Janet, I noticed they didn't have a baby gate up at the stairs. She has some really cute toys. And the Disney Princesses. My girls are to, especially Ellie. Their other Aunt loves to buy the costumes at the after Halloween sales and then the kids grow into them as they do. So they have a lot of dresses to grow into.
I feel I traveled to Italy!!! Thank you so much for the pictures. Oh to be able to be able to stay in that apartment for one night.
Well I was a good girl yesterday and called and got my boob squeeze and bone dnsity test scheduled. They are to bcdone the day before I have the weird thing removed from my back. I had Charlie take pictures of all the moles I have on my back and there is one that is black. Since it is right next to my spine I don't know how the sutures are going to be like.
Our main problem we are having right now is rain as in Rain. A good amount of flooding in the area, not major like you see when the river has flooded but our River will flood soon. Michelle said she has a leaky roof. Her poor dogs don't know why she is going up and down her stairs all the time. When she is upstairs and ogre downstairs, to them it means they can go outside. I am glad we had a back flow valve installed a couple of years ago and also had to have a French drain done more than several years ago. Lots of money to have all this done but it is worth it.
JanetR, I love all your ideas for your eggs for upcoming holidays. I can take a picture of the napkin ring with an egg in it if you want. I think how you display your eggs will be a big part of how many you sell. And also have a way for them to display the, such as the napkin ring or the one I posted yesterday. I wish I knew where I got that but I think it came with the egg. Charlie likes his pretty eggs like that and we pick them up on our travels.
Barbie, I know you are glad the figure skating is over and you are glad they are so you can get back to the things in your life that give it balance, but did you watch the Gala tonight? Boy, that was a long sentence.
Pip, lov you picture. You could make a calander with all your pictures.
Well it's at this time of the evening that I have to do a lot of referring with the cats. I don't know why it's like this in the evening. They can be so good at other times.

Well, twice I started typing and this app crashed. Try again tomorrow. It’s time for bed. Tried of the rain. 12 inches in 7 days! There’s more coming this week.
Good night!

Michele, I've used waxed, parchment and plastic wrap for separating stuff and have found that if you use enough of it, any of them will work, but you can get away with fewer layers of parchment. I guess it's because the parchment is heavier. I do think I prefer using small freezer bags, easy to freeze and thaw, don't take up excess space and clean up from them is easy, just throw them out. Please don't jump on me in regards to the environment, I do reuse most plastic bags, just wash them out and away I go. However, if they have had raw meat in them, I just don't trust that I could get them cleaned properly and as I don't want to get food poisoning again (had it twice-that's once more than enough) out they go. But if I'm putting muffins or crackers or cheese into bags I will reuse them. Wow, that got real long real fast! Sorry!!
Janetr, another idea for displaying your eggs could be actual egg cups. I have a few rock eggs and have them in egg cups, they look pretty good, I think. My dad found the cups at thrift stores so they weren't expensive. I did like the idea of the candleabra or tree so that several can be displayed on one thing. Something else along those lines might be one of those stands that jewelry is displayed on, I've seen some shaped like a hand, Might be able to find something like that at a thrift store also. Sounds like so much fun!
Lisa, the grandkids are cuties!
Must go, need some sleep tonite!

Janetr - Mia sleeping is sooooooooooooo lovely.
Loving the grands. Lisa and Laura. (one heart each)
I'm not sleeping. Only four and a half hours last night. Today is a running day, so I hope it doesn't affect it. I'm not really worried about anything, but my mind won't shut up. Grrrrrrrrrr. Excitement, I suppose.
We are going to be having a cold snap this week, (cold for us), with some snow. There may be some snow in Brighton tomorrow. Brrrrrrr. I'm a bit anxious about the drive home at night. Can't decide whether to take the motorway for a change as it will be gritted, or stick to our back roads. Either way, I'm not looking forward to it.
I'm going to make turkey and spinach burgers for dinner and have two left over to take with us in rolls for a quick picnic in the car when we get there. A thermos of tea!
I wish I could just get up and go and do it NOW!
Much love and hugs to all. Heather UK xxxxxxx

Welcome Susan in E Tn!
Took Tumble to dog group for first time. What a great bunch of people. Tumble was wildly barking as we approached so one of the trainers worked with us and his dog. He was able to gradually desensitize her enough that he could walk her past his dog with no barking, almost calmly. Now for me to be able to do that! This group is just what we needed. Another blessing.
Mindful hugs to all,
Barbara, the Southern Oregon Coastie AHMOD.
