I’m so happy to join this 100 pound challenge!

My goal is to lose a total of 115 pounds in a year. My motivation is not just the health problems that being so overweight are causing me, but I’m also motivated by the physical discomfort caused by this weight. I have multiple orthopedic disabilities and I have arthritis, too, so being this big is seriously limiting my ability to participate fully in life.

I began logging my food, and I began working on changing my eating habits (this time), a few days ago. I’m using a Mediterranean Diet framework and have set a goal to eliminate processed foods and added sugars / empty carbs.

    SW - 300.0 lbs 6/19/18
    CW - 297.6 lbs 6/21/18
    GW - 242.5 lbs 12/19/18
    GW - 185.0 lbs 6/19/19

I have more than 100lbs to lose (not by much though) so I’m definitely in.

Please feel free to add me as a friend — I don’t seem to have the option when using my phone.

    June 30th -

Today is the first time that I really feel discouraged in this process of losing weight. I guess what I'm doing is just not working. I need to change my strategy. All year I've been hovering around the same weight. I want to cry about it but I'm not because that won't change anything. I'll just pray about it and figure out a different plan.
    Sigh.....

    @FaithIt365

I've had the same problem! I'd I lose really good for a while and then it will Plateau and stay at the same weigh. The past few weeks I've been stuck at the same weight not losing any at all and then a little over a week ago I started losing again.

I have to remember to change my eating habits, everytime I hit a plateau in order to the restart losing again . Seems like eating the same type foods all the time for me prevents weight loss and I need to remember to change my eating habits every so often so I can keep losing.

Wish you the very best in your journey.

@cloudspirit55 Thank you for sharing. I'll try to change up what I eat and see if that gives me a push in the right direction. I have been eating almost exactly the same things every day.

HSW: 284.2 lbs. (since joining MFP)
    CSW: 270.4
    UGW: 198 ( I'm 6" ft tall)

    4/16: 270.4 (started challenge)
    4/23: 266. (-4.4 lbs)
    5/2: 260.4. (-5.6 lbs)
    6/24 255 (-5.4 lbs)
Total lbs lost since starting this challenge
    ( 15.4 lbs)

The heaviest I've ever been was 400 lb that was a few years ago, I've lost a total of 145 lb since then. It's been a very long journey: however, it's better to take a long time, then never to done it at all and I'm so happy this is the lowest weight I've been at in more years then I can remember.

I am 55 years old and 6" ft tall. Wish I had lost all this excess weight when I was still young. At least my senior years will be a lot better health-wise free from the encumbrance of not being able to do much because of my obesity and the pain and problems physically that I go through have diminished a great deal, but there is still a ways to go. Very happy with the progress I'm making.

I wish everybody the best on this journey.

Very bad week. In the past this would have derailed me completely and I would have had an eating binge because what's the point. This time I'm trying to be more sensible and I'm refocusing. Hope it will work.
