- After cold and wet Patriots Day, I have to keep reminding myself that Summer is Coming!
Backpacking with 8-10 Scouts in July for 10 days and I need to be ready. (yes, this is at Philmont)
Oh, and backpacking 6 days in (under the rim) the Grand Canyon in May!

It seems that each week has a another challenge. The showers at the gym have no hot water. The weather is cold and rainy. There are voices in my head telling me that Ice Cream is ok. But I keep with my program and I am liking the results. I am really on track and feeling great!
Moving to more outdoor "exercise" with 3+ brisk hilly hikes each week. I am fortunate to have access to hills and a couple of groups of hiking buddies that like to get out and just motor down the trails some days.
I am adjusting my MFP settings to lose 0.5 each week. There is enough time to make my July goal. But with more hiking (3+ times each week) and more distance (5-8 miles is typical) and increasing the difficulty (these are not flat hikes), I just do not want to bonk out on the trail.
Making great progress. Glad to be here and thanks for keeping me on track.
