I joined in this challenge mid-February and had a rough start. I gained 0.2 lb after the first week. I had a tantrum that lasted 2 weeks and thought, “I give up...what’s the point anyway?” I read other member comments on this post and became very inspired by everyone! Two weeks ago, I recommitted to the challenge.

I gave up red meat for Lent this year and I’d love to reach my mini goal of being below 135 by this weekend ( it’d give me an excuse to reward myself with a giant steak! Or meatball sub! Or pizza with ham and pineapples yummm) happy Monday!!!1 -

I'm pretty new to MFP. Just signed up in the last two weeks. I just stumbled across this thread. I'll join in!
Male, early 50s, just barely shy of 5'7".
I happened to hop on the scale on February 9 when this challenge started. Weight was 158 -- down from about 168 at the beginning of the year. My goal weight was originally 151 by late May. I revised it this week, and I'd like to get down to 148. The reality is I want to be in a range of 148 - 152 long term. Starting in February, J'm only looking to lose ten more pounds. I won't actually be looking to lose 20 pounds in 20 weeks.
I've averaged 0.9 pounds per week since February 9 (1.4 pounds per week since the beginning of the year). This morning was at just under 154 after bouncing around back and forth between 154 and 157 the last ten days. I'm planning to slow my weight loss goal down closer to 0.5 pounds per week for the last troublesome five or six pounds. Not exactly a pound-a-week for 20 weeks unless you start in early January, but if that's ok, I'm in.
Gave myself a break this weekend since we had a mini holiday on the coast. I knew it would come to this, so it's ok...

My goal is to lose one pound a week. I’ve been eating pretty close to my caloric goals every week, but I’ve been losing around two pounds a week for the last two weeks. Could it be because I’ve been eating very clean (lots of veggies and protein)?1 -
