    I have a fear of my kids dying from cancer or a major car accident or anything really.

    Me too. I also have a fear of dying before they're completely independent without me as I KNOW it would devastate them and I can't bare to even think of them hurting or suffering.

    I have a fear of ALL pitbulls I don't care how lovely or friendly their owners claim they are. I do not want them around me.

    Oh MY Goodness. I've heard so many horror stories, I just cant trust them. I know dog lovers will frown on this but it's always, "oh no, my dog is so friendly blah blah..he/she won't bite...blah blah" until it does and takes someone's eye out. No thanks. I'll keep my distance from them.

    Nah. I'm a dog person, but I think most "good" dog owners will respect someone else's discomfort/fear, and they won't allow their dogs to run up to strangers and/or jump on them. People who dismiss you are jerks.

    I've got two "scary" looking dogs: one GSD/Husky mix, who is giant and kind of intimidating, and a smaller Heinz 57 with brindle coloring who is sometimes mistaken for a pit bull (I don't think she's got a significant amount of pitty in her, but what do I know?) I'll never let them go running up to a stranger unless that person expresses a clear desire for some doggy attention.

    Thank you. I especially hate when the owners let them wander around outside without a leash, even if the owner is outside. If the dog is not on a leash you do NOT have full control of them. I can't stand ignorant dog owners. I actually like dogs but I am afraid of the big intimidating ones with lock jaw.

    jk that's me. She does go out of town, though...and the house gets super creepy at night when it's all quiet.

    Worst ever was this come to find out...fox and it's friends/kids or who knows that was running amuck outside.

    My house was a confederate hospital during the civil war. Come spend a quiet night here and try not to get creeped out.

    Oh I get it...I'm a pretty...well, ardently non-super-naturalist...well, have been for the last decade or 20 years or so...

    But there have been some creepy moments in my adulthood that made me wonder. Lights and ceiling fan come on at 3:30 am, exploding light bulbs...repeatedly, *kitten* toothbrush of all things creeped me so hard would turn on late at night.

    I ended up throwing it out of the window :D

    I'm kind of changing out of my hard-atheist phase and becoming more like a process-philosophy person...perhaps panpsychism of a kind (Einstein was this btw...it's not crazy (always a winning line). Spinoza...big thinkers. Mind as *everywhere, everything*. It's more common in Eastern thinking...Hindu, Buddhism...seems crazy in the Aristotelian tradition, then long history of firm dualism...our language and culture has these thoughts and philosophies embedded)

    I had this pagan buddy who quit a high paying software development job to go study ghosts...no *kitten*. He's listening to static from graveyards and doing all kinds of weird things as part of this off-shoot...idk even foundation? Thing...from Duke. Anyway...he became a ghostbuster lol.

    I had a lot of real discussions with him...and I will not say that I would follow in his footsteps, but I'm actually really happy that somebody is doing this kind of thing. It just makes me happy.

    We did briefly talk about ghosts in my philosophy stuff back in college...philosophy of science...which is awesome stuff imo. But, it seems it would be rather hard to ever determine the difference between a ghost and...well, who knows?

    I have absolutely heard, seen and experienced things is this house and my husband has had some experiences here too. There are rooms that I just refuse to go in alone. We’ve had several offers to have paranormal investigations done but honestly, I would just rather think I know what’s going on than to know. If that makes sense. I’ve never experienced anything malicious or negative here and truthfully, the scariest thing about this house is the electric bill. But when I’m all alone here, the creaks and groans of an old house seem creepier.

    My sister and I were heavy into our Ouija board when we were young. I don’t know if it’s because of that, but a lot of creepy things went on there! Voices, things moving on their own, lights turning off on their own, etc. My mom finally had a priest come over and bless the house, and nothing strange happened after that.

    Exactly. The dog was very well trained and well behaved up until that point. My daughter walked over to her to pet her with owner sitting right next to her and the dog didn’t bark, didn’t growl just stood up, bit her on the corner of her eye and then sat back down. We were lucky that she didn’t latch on like pit bulls are known for. The couple that owned her were about 6-7 months pregnant with their first and had the dog put down by the time we got home from the hospital. I couldn’t even blame them.

    That is scary to just read about.
    My daughter got nipped on the lip but I think she intimidated the dog by getting too close. But eyes are a different story altogether.

    Wow. I can't imagine how you all must've felt. They did the right thing by putting the dog down. As awful as that sounds. Dogs are not people. I know people love them and treat them like family but they are animals and if they bite and hurt a human, I'm sorry (not sorry) but they should definitely be put to permanent sleep.

    me too, ugh, the first 2 years at my current job were horrible, Im a school nurse and always have to make phone calls, I still hate it, but I dont break out into full panic mode, but I have to talk myself into it though everytime, lol

    I absolutely hate needles and dentists. 2 Times when ive been to the dentist, the anesthesia hasnt worked at all and even though my veins really show, nobody have hit them with a needle in less then 5 tries. Once it took them 3 nurses and 10 tries and i looked totally *kitten* up when in reality i was just in becouse i had fainted.

    Not long after I had seen a cheesy 50’s sci-if movie about giant crabs attacking people on a remote island, my father took us to a lake one weekend. As others have said, I wasn’t about to walk around in water when I couldn’t see the bottom. Embarrassed the crap out of him squealing my head off refusing to go in. Let’s see...that was what? Two years ago?
