4/18 143.6 I've been having some big drops. I indulged this morning for breakfast, but I'm on track. I see my physical therapist this evening, so I hope to get some pain relief without medication. I can't wait to be lifting weights again!
4/19 143.2
4/20 143.2 I haven't worked out this week. Next week needs to be different. I don't just want to be skinny, I want to be healthy! Today's goal is to meet my water goal as well as stay within calories.

This is NOT A DIET. It’s a LIFESTYLE.
4/18 138 Busy day today! Half day meeting today, community bingo tonight, and packing for the weekend. Leaving EARLY tomorrow for my 50 year high school reunion. 4 days away with no scale.
4/19 138 Weighed at 4AM instead of 6:30-ish. Good day yesterday. Already in the air and will try to post from the Baltimore airport.
4/20 No scale
4/21 No scale Awesome day helping the reunion committee and re-meeting many old acquaintances at a bar owned by one them. Great start to a fun weekend.6 -

Day/Weight/Comment
4/18 -- 195.0 Okay, looks like I need to pick a new goal.
4/19 -- 194.2 (TOM) Gave myself permission to step off plan today. Just a little, because I've found that small, conscious indulgences satisfies me and prevents me from breaking out completely.
4/20 -- 193.6
4/21 -- 192.6 That's my first 10lb gone. I hope that I start seeing my progress in my clothes and my mirror soon instead of just on my scales. I still have nearly 7lbs to lose before I get to my "I will never allow myself to get this heavy again" weight from 2013.

19/04 – 214lb - I think a fluke but I'm taking it! Going to take a walk in the sunshine on my lunch break and then head to the gym this afternoon.
20/04 – 215.5lb – bit disappointed after yesterdays weigh in, but still only 0.5lb from my end of round target!
21/04 - 213.5 - a very up/down week so far, but the number is a lot lower than the start of the challenge so I can take a couple of small gains on the way!

Day/Weight/Comment
4/18 - 166.6 - Good way to start this next challenge. The last couple times it seemed I'd gain weight right away and the rest of the challenge was trying to get rid of my 1st day gain. Hoping it warms up and the rain holds off so I can get out and walk. Looking forward to the next few days and I'm determined to make my goal.
4/19 - 166.6 - I've never had the same number for 3 days in a row before (I've only been weighing myself everyday for 20 some days now) so it's interesting to see. Since I started logging every meal and keeping track of my exercise for the past 40 days and weighing in every day for the past 20 I'm starting to see and understand what works for me and what I need to do to lose the weight. I'm sure it'll always be a learning experience but one that I'm willing to learn. Interested to see tomorrows weigh-in.
4/20 - 166.6 - So I guess I'm going to be stuck at this weight now but if I'm not showing a gain, I'm happy. Need to plan meals out for this weekend so I can stay on track, Saturday and Sunday are usually days I slack off on and then regret it come Monday morning but I want to prevent that from happening this time. I can have a fun, healthy weekend.
4/21 - ?? - tried to weigh in this morning but the battery died in my scale and I'll take it as a sign that I'd be unhappy with what it would tell me as I indulged in many butter covered perogies last night. Have a busy day today though and I'm ready with healthy snacks already packed and lots of water. Will try to get out and buy a battery some time today so I can weigh in tomorrow and keep myself accountable for those damn, delicious perogies.

Nothing works unless you have a sustained calorie deficit over time. Anything will work if you have a sustained calorie deficit over time.
Motivation is overrated. What you need is education, willingness to eat less, a good plan, and discipline to stick to it.

4/20 139.6 Well, I would have been happy to see this number at the end of the round. This may be the loss of "water weight" from re-starting weight loss after a long pause.
4/21 138.8 Well, this is very encouraging. Of course, I don't know if this is "water weight" or if my calories are set too low. My activity level can change from day to day and even week to week, and I'm nursing a toddler who takes in an ever-changing, impossible-to-know-amount-of-milk every day, so it can be hard to know my ideal calorie goal. Since I feel great and I'm not hungry, and it's only day 4 of the round, I'm going to keep on keeping on for now and see how things go.
I had a physical yesterday, and passed with flying colors. What a difference from the last time I was at the doctor's. I'd had several health problems that were hard to recover from. Looking forward to exercise, fresh air, good health, and weight loss!!!!

4/19 - 212.2 - Feeling positive and slightly less bloated. Walked the Dog around Pearl Hill about 1 mile. Being more mindful about getting up every hour at work.
4/20 - 210.2 - Bloat is gone, scale shows the water weight lost. Adjusted my lunchtime meal yesterday since I wasn't hungry after my sandwich wrap and skipped the shake. I think the shake makes me bloated in the afternoon. Dinner has not been planned just being more mindful of portion sizes. Did 25 minute yoga/meditation last night. Goal is to actually check in this weekend while I'm not on my work schedule. Accountability!
4/21 - 210.0 - had pizza and salad for dinner last night, it fit into my macros for the most part. Slightly over, but the day was good whole food eating all day. 80/20 rule! Weighed in a little earlier than usual. Good breakfast shake this morning and took meds. Pot roast snack after a walk and errands instead of a big huge breakfast sandwich. Weekend water intake always struggles but making a good effort. Going Adams farm and grocery shop today or tomorrow. Doing an experiment today to see if I can make good choices on the fly!

Day/Weight/Comment
4/19: 213.4
I've been gone for awhile, but I am back! Been in Virginia for almost a month; my son was in the hospital for 21 days, so that meant that I, too, was in the hospital 21 days! After he came home, I stayed with him a couple of days just to make sure he wasn't going right back! I give God all of the praise for seeing him through; his spleen ruptured, and he almost bled to death! I went a little haywire while I was there, and the scale tells the story! But, that's history; today is a new day, and I'm ready to start over again! HIS MERCIES ARE NEW EVERY MORNING!
4/20: 212.2
Good afternoon everyone! Hope you are having a great day! It's beautiful here in Middle Georgia, and I thank God for another beautiful day! See you lighter!
4/21: 211.3
My granddaughter is taking me out to eat today as a belated birthday present. I was in Virginia on my birthday! Already know where we are going-Sancheros! Tomorrow church in Dublin; will likely eat out. But I may cook something in the slow cooker or instant pot-I love it!5 -

Day/Weight/Comment
4/18 = 200.4 (-1.6). WHOOSH™. Day 2 of Keto was again just fine. 21 net carbs, slightly under protein goal, slightly over in calories. Generally feeling okay so far. Yesterday was better than the day before. My wife is going to a training for 2 days, so I get to live the bachelor life until Thursday night.
4/19 = 199.2 (-1.2). WHOOSH again!!! Day 3 of Keto went pretty well, even after having half a banana early in the morning (40% of my daily carbs). I was right on target with my macros. I'm enjoying the scale, but I think this is pretty normal for Keto (not 100% sure). SL 5x5 and basketball tonight. I'll be interested to see what my energy level is like at this point.
4/20 = 196.8 (-2.4). Another WHOOSH™!!!. I'm about 6 points away from my lowest weight in 25 years. Keto Day 4 was great! I had berries and whipped heavy cream for dessert last night, a little bit of dark chocolate during the day, and was still under calories. I am recognizing the need to be a little careful about indulging sweets. I was a little high in protein, but other macros were on point. 5.2 lbs in 3 days. Is this normal Keto stuff? I'm not complaining, but I didn't expect things to be moving so quickly.
4/21 = 196.0 (-0.8). I'm going to stop naming whatever this is for right now. No I'm not. Any other day this would be a WHOOSH™, so that's what it is. I'm 1 lb away from what I labeled my Ultimate Goal Weight, but that's so clearly not where I'm going to stop that I'm changing it right now. I want to be under 190 (at least). For the first time, maybe ever, I'm not afraid of the weekend. Thanks Keto! And thanks for the funny weight loss streak too! Keto is really working for me; I've been tested numerous times with sweets so far, and they don't motivate me more than reaching my goal does! Good luck to everyone this weekend!
