4/19: 138.8, darned pickles! I never realized how much sodium they have. Also indulged in 1 Reese’s peanut butter cup (regular size). Calories were within deficit and my macros were decent. Proof that salt and sugar make me retain water9 -

Had quite a gain on vacation for Round 36 (not sure how much as I didn't weigh for a while), but back on track at the end of Round 37. I originally had a goal of 135-137, but I have realized that under 140 is just fine with my large frame. My biggest challenges are not giving in to overeating "junk" to the point of feeling like garbage after and to continue regular exercise. I feel so much better when I exercise regularly. I need to remember this and not take any more long breaks unless I am on vacation. I took 9 days off for vacation, which I am fine with, BUT did not get right back into good eating and exercise habits once my vacation was over (it took me 10 more days to do that). Next time I take a break for a vacation, it needs to end the day after I get home.

4/18 143.6 I've been having some big drops. I indulged this morning for breakfast, but I'm on track. I see my physical therapist this evening, so I hope to get some pain relief without medication. I can't wait to be lifting weights again!
4/19 143.2 I have a labrum tear in my shoulder. Step one is admitting you have a problem, and step 2 is getting help. Physical therapy felt really good. I was able to stretch back muscles without hurting my shoulder. I sooooo needed that. In the meantime, planning out my meals has made eating and losing weight easy so far. I'm much less stressed coming home from work and wondering what to put on the dinner table, and I don't make impulsive decisions for breakfast or lunch. I've also noticed that we haven't been eating out much which means healthier meals for me and my family as well as saving $$$$.

4/18 - 166.6 - Good way to start this next challenge. The last couple times it seemed I'd gain weight right away and the rest of the challenge was trying to get rid of my 1st day gain. Hoping it warms up and the rain holds off so I can get out and walk. Looking forward to the next few days and I'm determined to make my goal.
4/19 - 166.6 - I've never had the same number for 3 days in a row before (I've only been weighing myself everyday for 20 some days now) so it's interesting to see. Since I started logging every meal and keeping track of my exercise for the past 40 days and weighing in every day for the past 20 I'm starting to see and understand what works for me and what I need to do to lose the weight. I'm sure it'll always be a learning experience but one that I'm willing to learn. Interested to see tomorrows weigh-in.

I've been gone for awhile, but I am back! Been in Virginia for almost a month; my son was in the hospital for 21 days, so that meant that I, too, was in the hospital 21 days! After he came home, I stayed with him a couple of days just to make sure he wasn't going right back! I give God all of the praise for seeing him through; his spleen ruptured, and he almost bled to death! I went a little haywire while I was there, and the scale tells the story! But, that's history; today is a new day, and I'm ready to start over again! HIS MERCIES ARE NEW EVERY MORNING!

4/18. I forgot to weigh in before getting dressed this morning. 9787 steps before 6:00 when I plugged in. I'm still treating myself to doughnuts and licorice this week, but won't replace them when they're finally gone. Not the most nutritious day but kept my total calories in an acceptable range.
4/19 202 lbs 6657 steps so far. I've spent all day at an autism conference. The meals were fairly rich, but four fuzzy navels is what put me over on calories tonight. I'm heading to the pool now. I doubt I'll be able to do laps, but I can enjoy a boom in the hot tub.10 -

18/04: 167.6 Goals ✅ What is it that makes us revert so easily to our old ways?
I have really been tightly back on track for the past week, and then last night we had a friend in for coffee and as we were chatting I suddenly realised that I had absentmindedly munched several of the biscuits hubby had put out with the coffee. (not sure exactly how many, lol! as we were having such a great chat.) Not going to beat myself up, but wondering how do we combat the old habits which just seem to lurk there, waiting until we are off-guard, to sabotage all our hard work?
Maybe all we can do is to be aware of it happening, and make sure that we stop as soon as we realise what we are doing. I am continually reminded that being fit and healthy has to be a life time commitment, and is not a quick fix.

18/04 - 91.4kg - Had a good day re food but did have 3 beers in the evening at the football, another big game coming up this weekend so this round isn't going to be pretty!
19/04 - 90.9kg - Staying focused as always, very happy with another drop, I did aim quite low with my target this week but I have a football away day Saturday which will involve beer so that is my reasoning behind that!
20/04 - 91.2kg - Good day yesterday, did drink a hell lot of water yesterday, more than normal I could tell and I think that is why I was heavier, but that was mainly because it was a lovely 29 degrees in London, the hottest April for 70 years!7 -
